A lot of the time I wish I was more invested with the details and foundations of Bitcoin, but I sadly am not at that point and I really don't have that much time to invest in a lot of the community right now. Even then, if I did have the time, I have no idea where I would start and chances are the only things that I would really be doing would be auxiliary tasks to other orgs.

I take it as more of a hobby right now, maybe it will grow beyond that in the future.

I am very serious with this BTC, and i do managed my time well specially in joining signature campaigns which made my time very important as well as sharing my thoughts to the topic being discussed in the forum. This BTC became an important part of my life which made me learned everything that bitcoins can do in our lives and what is its importance to internet money making which everyone could earn to it.

Bitcoin is a fun hobby to me. If more places accepted it it would seem more real or serious to me but sadly where I live there's barely any places that accept bitcoin. Only a few online stores that I never really use.

At first, since i dont really know what is the importance of BTC or even how to use it in our daily lives, collecting of satoshi was only fun to me, i dont even know that i can also buy BTC and use it as a payment for my utility bills. Nowadays, the value of BTC was really high, and if i can turn back the time that BTC was born, i will seriously collect and keep it.. i'm sure if i do that, i am also one of those lucky person now who has many BTC in their wallet. for me, BTC if how i value the real money now, that is also the value of BTC for me.  Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss

I read some replies, mainly in the Mining section that said mining was a fun hobby for them and not a thing that they could continue doing as a business. In the Project Development section I found many projects that generated profit like your local businesses.

How serious is BTC to you? Could you look at it as a foundation of business/job or is it just an exciting hobby/experiment?
Bitcoin is real money and money is not a joke. Bitcoin has been offering job opportunities for thousands of people over the world without restriction or discrimination, I am one of the people who depend on Bitcoin to get the needed money to spend in the real life from Bitcoin, and it is very important for me.
I see bitcoin in the same way too, it's a currency that will become global mainstream method of payment.
Bitcoin is my long term investment and planned to start my own business with it in the years later.
It's become sort of the way of life on economy and have been help so many people since rise of bitcoin.

Massive price drop coming...

I would say that Bitcoin is currently a hobby for me that takes up a chunk of my time. It is more of an exciting experiment than a foundation of business at the current moment, since I am not making or investing that much money into it, but that might change if Bitcoin's popularity continues to increase. I hope to see the cryptocurrency being more accepted by people and businesses and hope that it can become as popular or a serious alternative to cash one day.

Are you not afraid of BTC becoming generally accepted in business on one day and your business will be in disadvantage to the organizations that were braver than you and invested more into BTC earlier? How will you determine the right time to invest a business amount into BTC?
We have own way how we can make a good investment so if bitcoin is just his hobby its not a problem maybe he just an early users of bitcoin and experiment about bitcoin.. for old user i can say that it is already proven that bitcoin is good to use as alternative payment processor online since they are just asking for small fee for transaction unlike other payment processor.. It is not still late to have a bitcoin since bitcoin for is starting to be popular and more merchant can be accept bitcoin..  i think if we can get trust other people about bitcoin more investors will come if we build BTC banks in every country we can get trust by people so that they can know that bitcoin is legit.. that can affect more price increase because of more investors will come..

Bitcoin is simply a cue of what money would be looking like and treated in the future and since the future is where I shall be spending the rest of my life, without any doubt, am taking bitcoin serious. Aside the fact that it has created enabling and cost effective way for carrying out international transactions, it has thrown open newer business opportunities and innovative ideas for already existing businesses.

Well you can say the things are getting pretty serious. We've just moved in together and we're thinking of getting a few satoshis to mark our love.

I treat bitcoin as a great opportunity, it gives me hope that earning money online is really possible. I work for bitcoin everyday not full time but only partially because I also have a work in a day. I am so happy that my friend introduced this to me, I'm so thankful.

It is a serious thing when you got too much at stake here. If you invested a lot you would feel the changes even with just a dollar. That is why it is getting serious. Also with gamblers who are putting m uch in their bets.

I think it's becoming less profitable for individuals to mine, so I can see why people only do it as hobby. It's probably more profitable to just invest in bitcoin.

The big mining companies are making profit while mining btcs, what doesn't worth anymore is the solo miner or the cloud mining investiment.
But I agree with you, who is mining by himself today is doing it for hobby, because it's not profitable anymore.
Some persons try their luck mining alt-coins also, because they can sell it tomorrow or later for a more expensive price.
Jus't don't get it with those who do mining but not profitable, what are they looking for ??

I personally used bitcoin mostly as payment method i prefer to transaction with bitcoin than other payment method especially credit card, but i also selling them to the fiat when the price is increase, however bitcoin is my side job, i'm not a miner, programmer or developer, only transaction and trade with them.

It is definitely not just a "HObby" to me. BTC is money. It also means new opportunities.
I guess the "hobby" part would be in the forum part, although it's not even entirely that since spending time in the forum is not just fun but also generates some income due to the sig campaigns.

I also focus on BTC, for altcoins, not so much.

I want to BTC to succeed as new age monetary system. To compete with FIAT and bring stability for everyone worried that current economic and banking system is only a facade.
Although I am not sure if as a prototype and first of its kind Bitcoin has potential to do so. So yes, I tread BTC very serious.
