Mining was a fun hobby for awhile and thankfully I made a little coin off of it.
I'm pretty serious about bitcoin and very serious about Bitcoin.
The concept is fascinating, watching it evolve takes up a nice chunk of my time.

I read some replies, mainly in the Mining section that said mining was a fun hobby for them and not a thing that they could continue doing as a business. In the Project Development section I found many projects that generated profit like your local businesses.

How serious is BTC to you? Could you look at it as a foundation of business/job or is it just an exciting hobby/experiment?

This is serious currency which can safe people from inflation, remember how bitcoin can save greece? Although this just a temporary but it's provided bitcoin can save people.

And I personally take it this is not a joke, this is the greatest thing can bring world better, at an economic view especially.

I take Bitcoin seriously, not as some fun or game. I think it represents revolution in finances and should be treated that way. And it has a future. It already has entered in many businesses and companies, so this is serious.
It helped me in my everyday life and expenses, so in serious matters.

For me it is both a excitement to use new tech as well as i have taken bitcoin as good opportunity to start some local business like crypto currency exchanger, which i am yet to open. There are numerous blockchain/bitcoin based business opportunities for everyone around the world, as bitcoin is still in its premitive stage of adoption the first of its kind business can easily get popularity in short term.

Bitcoin definitely is a serious opportunity for many of us imo.
It offers or will offer so many differerent possibilities to change parts of our daily life to something good and less complicated.
The first step is bitcoin being used as money or as backbone for many different new startups of the financial space.
But that's just one minor part und many more will come.Who knows what kind of business and ideas we will see in 5-10 years we can not even think of now.
However this doesn't mean I put all money and time into Bitcoin or crypto currencies in general.
Have an eye on it, maybe invest a bit in it when you can and wait what's going to happen. To me this a bit like the early 90s and the birth of the world wide web!

To me bitcoin is a nice hobby, but nothing more.
I am interested in technical stuff and the internet. So bitcoin is a point that has woken attention.
The fact that you can transfer money relatively anonymous even in these days is cool. And I like cool stuff, too.
But all together my life would not look much different without bitcoin.

To me BTC is a serious opportunity, but is just one of my many projects. I like to keep my scattered brain occupied, without something to concentrate on I find it hard to keep my head straight. I get lost in thought, so I try to keep busy. But with the growth I've seen thus far it's hard to keep away. Trying to start my own freelance business on the side but I'm about to toss that on the back burner.

I don't think of Bitcoin as a super serious thing that I do, but I don't think it is a small part of my life either and there is a fair amount of investment I have in it, either with time or money.

I might look at getting involved with a business at some point soon, but I think that's a bit of a ways away.

None mine for fun, isn't fun. They mine to get some revenue, bitcoin is a currency, not a job... You can make a service where you can get paid in bitcoin and that's it.

The serious thing to learn about is the blockchain, you can do a lot of things there.

Right now to me bitcoin is something which can't be valued with certain benchmark. If I were unaware of bitcoin and its goodness now I might be suffering a lot for my daily needs. On such thinking bitcoin is the worthiest of all things I hold with me.

I really want to earn good amounts of BTC as I want to spend it in a game which I have been playing for years and I am a veteran there. Also, I want to help out my friends in that game, and do some other stuff, so BTC earning is very vital to me Smiley

It's like a hobby to me, I have no interest in earning big bitcoin by forcing my self to work for it too much, though I sometimes consider it as a job, since I can use the money that I get from earning bitcoin, but I think I am still on the hobby side.

Well BTC is a serious thing to me because it serves as my other source of income aside from my salary. My earnings from BTC really supports my daily expenses. I trade and I invest. Yeah, also engage in gambling. But aside from fun, I also target to have profit from it. So BTC serves as a business as well a a hobby for me. And I'm regard it as a serious thing.
If you have good skill in computer, you can earn many of bitcoin. Bitcoin can be fun and also serious to you. It will be usual thing if you use bitcoin as currency. It will be serious if you use bitcoin as an investment and source. If bitcoin can supports your daily expenses, it seem bitcoin can be serious thing for people.

To me bitcoin is good way to make some extra money to my ordinary salary. I use this money that I make with bitcoin for some of my little costs as shopping. In nearly future I plan to leave my office job and move to live in another country to my boyfriend. So bitcoin will be my only job there for the firs time. That explains that bitcoin is going to become as something serious and necessary to me.

I spend a lot of time here on forum and in bitcoin casinos. It's my daily routine, and I get in all this very seriously. With just my time and gambling skills I made very good progress in less then a year, that tells how serious I'm.
Bitcoin helped me a lot with my financial situation, that is very serious help in this times. I respect that, and cause of that I'm serious about bitcoin, and how time is passing that is growing. I have some plans and I hope I will make them true, that can be done just if I'm serious.

I am serious with bitcoin, but I won't enter most of my self into it since my knowledge about it is just enough for me to make a transaction...But anyway, I consider it between a part time job and a hobby, a part time job in the sense that I am making money out of working for it and hobby in a way that when I work for bitcoin it replaces some of my hobbies but in a good way...  Smiley
