It's kind of hard to stop fraud totally because fraudsters keep on upgrading and finding new ways to scam people of their hard earned money. But a key thing you need to avoid these fraudsters is to not get greedy with anything you do online. Because they will give you offers that are too good to be true and if you are greedy you will fall for it.

It is difficult to eliminate fraud in any field. What can be done is to recognize the method, because until now there are many countries that do not yet have regulations on cryptocurrency. For a new project, I think it's better to invest in a project that does IEO in a good exchanger or at least has a reputation
indeed there is no certain theory to avoid fraud, for now before legalization is enforced I think it is better to invest in coins that have been registered and ranked above, to reduce the risk of fraud. I don't think there have been many satisfying ieo projects like ico in 2017. so we have to be really careful in securing our capital, so that it does not disappear in an instant

It's very difficult to determine it, my friend, because fraud projects have in common in all aspects such as whitepapers, project objectives and teams that do look legitimate. And I think legitimate projects are those that have real products without impossible promises

I think there is still a way to overcome the problem of scamers in this crypto room (but I'm not saying to eliminate it completely). . This might not have a big effect but at least it can reduce some of the fraud projects that exist in this industry. . like avoiding and not promoting suspicious projects repeatedly. .
I have always observed that many of them and even have high ratings but still support suspicious projects, especially participants (social media).
maybe this is one reason why many fraud projects are increasingly rampant, because someone always gives hope to them and makes someone trapped in it.

so what do you think?
I draw the conclusion above based on what I saw there.
Any new projects can earn huge support from social bounty hunters. But only social support can't make success a project without others support. Promoting and partnership is the main work, just focus on this point you could avoid fraudulent project. I just surprised when I found some bad review of credits, everything was perfect of this project

It will be enough to always check the availability of information about the project on the network. Often, most of the scam projects are identified very quickly, resulting in a lot of topics and forum posts saying why the project scam. If there is no such information and the project is quite young, then just wait a while before investing in it, maybe the information will appear soon.

Verifying cryptocurrency projects have been quite a tedious job due to the massive scam ico projects plaguing the market. Even reputable rating platforms such as Icodrop,  icomark and findico do gives high rating to most project and they end up packing up with investors fund without delivering any tangible product.

As massive ROI can be make easily by investing in start-up project, so is the risk associated with them. The best is to invest in a quite successful project actually delivering products, that's the only way to have quite  a secure investment.

Most people don't do research anymore, for many, what matters is the numbers on the thread. If a topic is lucrative enough for an average member of this forum, they will definitely dive in right away. With research, it is very easy to spot a legit project. For example:

https://deathwing.me/i/thoOq.png

This is an image I originally took for a different topic where the original poster was asking whether the project is legit or not. As you can obviously see from the image that the so-called "project" is offering 350% returns on your investment, even more so if you refer your friends to the project. This is statistically impossible. And this whole research took me just 10 seconds, that is it. 10 seconds and I was able to find this specific part on their website.

TL;DR: Research like a normal person instead of losing your minds over promised hard $krilla ca$h whatever.

You got it right there. One thing that takes off our mind from making good research on a project is the figures we see. No doubt am in this category, sometimes am carried away with the so many $ promised on a project website or thread which are never realistic. If we can put aside our emotions when dealing with crypto concerns, there will be a lot positive change in the way we analyze and rate some of these project. We will be able to save ourselves most losses incurred on investments

There is no magic to avoiding scam projects, the answer is research and it depends how good you are with research, if you have enough patience when doing research you will find reasons to promote a project or not to promote a project

I draw the conclusion above based on what I saw there.

Scammers won't just rest as they believe there are still people who will fall into their traps which is quite true as well, and mostly these type of individuals are those who are either greedy or follows what people say about a project without due diligence. Talking about high ratings, all these rating websites are not to be trusted again as many projects has passed through them and still exit scam. Also, promotion of fraudulent projects is likely not to stop because these projects will come up with a huge reward and since there are people who don't bother checking a project, with that reward they will be drawn to promote it without any due diligence whatsoever. So I think, until people start asking the right questions and doing the right thing, all these fraudulent projects will die slowly or reduce to the lowest minimum.

I was always surprised by the fact that people who fell for scammers and lost money always blamed either these scammers or someone else. Although it’s just they themselves who are to blame.
If we talk about examples of scam telegram channels or other social networks, then you need to understand one thing.

We are dealing with cryptocurrency, which means scammers often cannot forcibly take your money from you. You do all the translations yourself trusting a person who pretends to be another.
You yourself click the “send” button, the scammer’s wallet means, and then it disappears and you understand that you were deceived, but it’s too late.

This is cryptocurrency, here only you are responsible for your money and no one else. Therefore, so that you are never deceived, never send money to wallets unknown to you. This will be enough to avoid 90% of scam.

I think scammers can't be completely eliminated but reduced to a great extent if we can be able to do proper research on a project n even ask questions from people that has more crypto knowledge than us before we invest.

The way I think that can somehow lessen the possibility of many people to get involved into such fraudulent projects is for us to act as one in a sense that whenever we found a project that seems suspicious and right after thorough observation and checking of its background turns out to be a scam project, we must inform everyone so that we can all avoid being trapped into such project. By doing this, we are helping each others out to create a worry free work space so that we can all just enjoy being into working with cryptocurrency and not concerning about being scammed once again. By doing this hand to hand, we can lessen the existence of fraudulent projects so that it can just obtain least victims or much better is no victims at all.

The easiest answer would be ; do not put money into stuff you do not know? I mean its quite simple to not just put money into stuff you have literally no idea about? People invest into stuff that are hyped up like crazy, there are ads everywhere, there is marketing, there is bounties and many other stuff so the new ones get SUPER attention from all the newbies and they write and shill about worthless coins. In the end if you do not really know all the details, the team, the roadmap, the whitepaper type of stuff, than do not invest into them. If it is an old coin like lets say eth or something, check whats about to happen and all the future news like for example its having a new hard fork and all that type of things, if you realize all the future and news than it will definitely work out in the end.

If the whole crypto community get together, it will be easier to detect a scam project!

We need to be more coordinated and support each other. If a scam project is detected by anyone, that project needs to be on the target by the whole community and spread the word! expose the nasty scammers, etc!!
actually this has been done. some people have interfaced with projects that exist today. in addition, until now it seems clear scam projects are also easy to know. some projects that are not known to be scams sometimes scam when they have run their concept so that it is difficult to detect. however, until now, many people continue to look for the odds of a project like that, I appreciate them.

If there is nothing useful but only promises or big profit, if they offer ICO instead of community collaboration or alliances with other projects. and if the team is not actively developing blockchain code, then that is a sign of a scam!

Scam projects always have something very eye catching to offer, too good to be true offers, this is what you should watch out for because presently its hard to get the attention of many investors and normal projects who have something to offer will just go ahead to face the challenges, not scam projects

In this modern scammers era, we cannot escape from fully sub-merged fraudulent projects. We may avoid big losses if you are keenly looking for good investment opportunities. I am trying to say, if you keep investing into all projects which you feel good after your long researches and analysis, still there are chances for getting scammed. but, if we invest only a very little money then we may avoid big disappointments.

If you do 10 investments across different segment projects then there will be chances for getting good returns from at least 5 to 7 projects. Please note, you always take time to analyze each and every aspect of a project and this method I am mentioning may help you to minimize your losses and will not safeguard you.

Look at projects like TemTum

A fully deployed mainnet, listed on coinall and liquid, mobile apps and mou`s with serious industry and countries - all done without an ieo or ico - it was privately funded to 10m by the founders !

Don’t take risk on projects that claim to solve issues without any product - pick a fully deployed project based on 7 years of phd work !
Temtum has been huge success in the so many scam projects everywhere, although it wasn’t sell token in IEO or ICO any phase. They got enough private investors otherwise how can possible to success in this bearing market, you know many reliable ICO and IEO are not successful due to lack of funded. TEM will get a lot of marketing if added in coinmarketcap. Now it’s only listed coingecko. Why not apply for cmc i don’t know.

They have a strategy around CMC - once they have their third exchange which will be announced this month they will list as a tracked token with a ranking of around 95

Stop looking for a project that promise to bring 1000% return. Be careful of a project that have no working product. Check properly the credibility of the dev. Study the team to know how focused they are.

Agree here

Any project promising returns is a scam

Look at projects that focuses on technology and use cases and have a real product

Best one i hold is Temtum - working mainnet based on brand new tech from Richard's PhD and MOU's with a national state to run their currency - i can see this going big

Yea nice shilling out!

Im not saying this project is sh*t yet i havent checked it out.Back to topic, i do really hate nor ignore
to those projects which do offer guaranteed profits into its investors.Always look for their projects main motive
and plans and try to figure it out if its realistic/achievable or not and also try to verify everything about legitimacy of
the team members.

Should check it out - to make a judgment before checking it out will mean you'll miss out !
