SEC called me back, I sent him the whois information, about the theory that investment deposits were being counted as profit, he told me that he will contact me if he has additional questions.
They called very early in the day. It's 6:18 on the east coast.

It WAS a scam, there's no point trying to pretend it wasn't.

I still suspect it was poor coding, he was paying 'profits' from additional investment, so as more people piled in, the false profits from early investors increased - as people withdrew towards the end, latecomers saw losses.

He accidentally created the perfect ponzi, now he's trying to work out how to recover from it without losing face.

He won't disclose his client identity without a warrant. Then good luck with your international lawsuit and then you will need even more luck for debt collection. The only thing to do is forget about this and if you're lucky the operator will pay.

Not so sure about that.  Information is my Biz.  I am going to post a whole cross reference sheet and I invite everyone to dig in to see what you can find.  Working on it now and will post it later.  This bozo owes me a little too much to just drop it.  I will be on him way more than he will like,  Stand by.

Even if no money is returned and we are able to publicity revile the scammers identity & picture it's well worth the hassle. The Internet is a small world & making his info public will definitely help others from being scammed by this clown in the future.

I'm really, really sorry for anyone who didn't take their money out in time. I just really hope everybody will get paid and this won't end up being yet another Bitcoin scam. We could use a little faith around here.  Lips sealed

Looking forward to it. Even though I got my 100% profit out in time, I've become attached to my additional profit that's been locked in there for a few weeks now. Would be very sad to never see it. I've been considering putting it all on black, because, well fuck it. At least then I wouldn't have to keep checking to see if I can withdraw. But there's no upside if I can't withdraw, and so I stay put.

Things certainly aren't looking good.

Hopefully the feed provider will release the scammers identity. Still don't think any money will come out of it but at least legal actions can be brought against him.

You could be right, I just feel that if the guy legitimately made an error in the coding that caused the calculations to be wrong then he would just come clean about it & try to work with everyone to make things right, instead of being vague about what happened & insisting its not a scam. I'm confused how he'd be able to make people whole when sites volume has fell off a cliff. It's kind of late to regain people trust don't you think?

I don't know how he's going to make everyone whole, but I do think that if he pays back investors we'll be a forgiving bunch and his reputation will be restored enough that the site can have long term commercial success.

Thanks for the tip. Glad I did not invest. So I take it this was some kind of hoax?

Yes, it was some sort of failed ponzi/scam

I think that's still TBD. I for one still expect to get my coins out. I won't be too upset if I don't, since I did some withdraws early and the remainder in there is just winnings.

My guess is that Casinobit had a ponzi-like error in his investment calculations and has since been skimming profits so as to get back to solvency. When he does, I think he'll be back and ready to pay out all investments. Sort of a Catch-22 though, because no one is going to deposit money in there for any purpose, including gambling, if they don't feel confident they can get it out.

He is skimming because since the troubles started, the Casino has continued to make a loss which is in stark contrast to the incredible volume of takings initially.

That's cuz it's a scam that he wasn't smart enough to prolong & people got weary because of the insanely high returns & started pulling out which caused it to blow up faster than he expected. In the end this retard probably barely made off with any coins, I'd guess the majority all went to the early investors to get people excited to invest. The guy should have just charged a percentage on profits from the EV & he would have done very well over time.

^^ is exactly why I doubt it's actually a scam.

If he was smart he would sell the site, I'm pretty sure it wouldnt be to hard to find a buyer that would offer him some coins as well as make investors & players whole over time.

01BTC10 is probably in a good position to make this buy happen since like 1/3 of the coins are due back to him and he was freerolling with house money anyway and probably doesn't care so much emotionally about getting them back. He also has the forum reputation to restore credibility.

Of course, any purchase would involve disclosing behind the scenes info that would be very embarrassing and bad for business indeed...
