You might need to step up your game from what I can see from your post history. Try to engage more in discussions, because most of your post are direct reply to the OP.
You do not need to be multiple liner poster to earn one, so don't overcomplicate it too much.

I’d say that many other factors weigh-in, although some affinities may exist over time due to style, frequency of encounter, and content preferences (as can happen in the opposite direction). Bear in mind that there are often topics that are rather recurrent, and normally the early bird gets the worm. People’s criteria changes over time, and so do their awarding habits invariably.

On a side note, I’ve taken a look out of curiosity at some of my ratios, and over 76% of my posts have not been merited. Granted that it’s still a good ratio overall (and even more so by comparison), but it doesn’t mean that the said percentage of posts are pointless.

Hi 11Revenger11, welcome to the bitcointalk.org family.
Already enough has been said on how to earn merits and rank high here. I will add my few cents here, never lose patience if you are not getting merits. Try to post quality contents and for that best is to read and analyze posts that are getting merits. This will definatly be a big help. Good luck

He may not know what a quality post is, maybe 5 lines or 2 lines posts. Alot of posters mistake the length of the posts they make to mean quality and i do not think that is it. Some write to fill the length required to meet up with campaign requirement and end up not writing much meaningful things. To earn merit will mean to write something you know makes sense and meaning to you.

HOW TO EARN MERIT?
it's a question I see frequently in the Beginners & Help section.
If we search for this question with the search feature, we find many solutions and answers for every user of this forum.
Repeated question, with the same answer.

if the OP is able to survive and grow then getting merit will be very easy. But if you just give up on a few posts maybe he will quit and quit.

Take advantage of your Local Borad to discuss or exchange opinions so you can explain every problem and question well. Merit will come to your account if you are qualified. believe it.
The way the system is now is not welcomed by me.Merit is no longer based on reasonable and quality posts anymore. One will compose a very unique post, but at the end of the day, zero merit is what he will have.

Giving of merit is no longer based on how quality your posts can be or how good your post is,it is now based on the number of persons that knows you in the forum and in your local boards.

Everything you write is lovely, but would you mind putting a full stop at the end of your sentences from time to time?  Wink
With sentences that flow into each other, sometimes you find yourself going back to reread a sentence just to understand it better - it's quite irritating and breaks the flow of the story for me.
You know quite well that no one is encyclopedia of knowledge or an island of knowledge, if you notice any mistake from any forum user i think the best option is to message the person personally, even though it involves grammatical errors it's the same to correct a mistake, i adhered what you said, and i applaud you for corrections and observations you made.

I am not interested in PMing you. The point I made about your grammatical errors was well intended. You can accept this criticism and say thank you, or you don't have to. Your decision.

Welcome to Bitcointalk I believe the first thing you should do is to check the forum rules first, I believe that's the first thing you should do and if your post is really meaningful and useful to the forum members then you will definitely get merit but don't plagiarize. And there is punishment for useless post which is ban or negative trust. Thanks are you are welcome once again.

First and foremost, welcome to the Bitcointalk forum. I highly suggest that you should take time in reading the rules of the forum before you start your journey.

When it comes to merits, treat it as a bonus. You can’t expect members to give you merits for every “high quality” or “helpful” post that you’ve published. Also, you must not have a mindset of “I’m gonna keep posting so that I’ll be getting merits” or something like that. You will get pressured for sure.

However, if you post with passion or enjoying your time here on Bitcointalk without thinking of the merits, you will be surprised later on that you are given a merit by someone for a helpful post or reply that really “impact” them.

I want to know how do we earn merits Huh?
Why did you ask about merit first?
I don't tell you exactly what you should do but I give you three topics to read. As a newbie, you have many time to read because you have limitation of 6 minutes between two posts.

Three topics above contain the information you asked for and even more. If you feel like that are too long to read, it means you will not deserve to earn merit.

I am also a new member so your post is very usefull for me. Lot of thanks to you for your authentic and good information. I hope every member will benefit from reading this post.  kindly continue keep it up for every new member. Every senior brother is as like gardian for us.

I am also a novice with the same problem. Since joining the Bitcoin forum, I have learned that I should study hard first instead of thinking about how to earn merit. I will be very happy when I get my first merit.

You have focused on merit since joining the forum and I take it positively. That means you are willing to rank up your account. This desire will one day lead you to a higher rank.

What are the limitations of Bitcointalk forum Huh?
1. There is a limitation of sending PM to other members.
2. You can't post an image.
But these are the temporary limitations. When your rank goes up this limitations will be disappeared.

Thank you for all the information.

Can you link the posts you're saying? Coz its not true, your account will be red tag for merit abuse if you get caught. Well, it's easy to check if the merit is voluntarily given or bought, lots of users here hunts for those users buying/selling merits.

I will post here the link if I found it. I saw this in a telegram group. They have packages like 1,5,10 like this. I will share the info for sure. Give me sometime to find it.

It seems to me that for some newbie members, participating in this forum has become a kind of job and earning opportunity, which is a completely wrong motivation, and in the long run it will lead to their expulsion from the forum.
I used to run merit giweaway topics in this beginners section but I gave up because I would get at least a few messages from newbie members each time asking me to give them merit.
In fact, it seems to me that we talk too much about the merits here and that we should talk more about how each of us can contribute to the forum, help other members etc.
Everything else will come naturally if we have the right attitude and are willing to help others.

Earning a merit is very simple and also hard due to the ability of the user via communication and research, because here i noticed that what impress another forum user to award Merit to a post can as well make another user to dislike a post, so from what i detect via earning a Merit come from basic strategies of the person meaningful post's because no one can award Merit to a post that Lacks potentiality and also been valueless, i think i have made a post that stipulates this before, but nevertheless a quality of post is what warrantee Merit.

You should avoid those people especially if they are selling merit because once you get caught you will be red tag just like what @bL4nkcode said. I'm pretty sure they are trying to sales talking to you on how you will rank up easily if you bought merit from them. If you could put the link here or the screenshot of what they are actually doing then you are helping the community.

Just read all of the suggestions and the sticky those are the unofficial rules that would avoid you from trouble in the future. Most newbies I've seen here posting like nothing like copying an article without giving the credit of the author ended up banned forever.

Merit is very easy to get once you follow the rules of this forum and make sure you post and comment a reasonable post and make sure your post make sense for other people to gain from it.
Merit is easy? then why don't you have even one?

Yeah, he was blindly following the forum rules. So blindly that I did not understand that plagiarism on the forum is prohibited. Therefore, all his claims about the ease of obtaining merit are no longer relevant. Since this user will soon leave this forum for plagiarism

Please make your replies in one post by using quote. You just posted 5 times in a row which is considered as spam. Seems I didn't include the thread about how to create a high/good/constructive posts and proper quoting. You can start by stopping what you just did and learn how to use bb codes. The guide is in the post above. Hope it's helpful.
OP did two bad things
  • Making multiple posts in a row that breaks the rule #32 of the forum (see the quote).
  • Quoting inappropriately. Most of times, poster should not quote all the post to reply to another. Because, usually a poster will only answer one or a few points in a post so please quote exactly the point you want to answer or discuss with
  • I reported those posts and I am sure that moderator will merge them all

Read and watch.

But I saw some posts we have to buy merits from senior members. Is that true?

And one thing to clarify from you ! If I keep replying to each and everyone's response to my topic, Do MODS consider it as spam ?
No, but instead of making a new post on every reply, you can make a one post and quote all the one you want to reply.
