Bitcoin is difficult to explain. I also felt difficulties in understanding bitcoin for the firs time. Let's share how to explain bitcoin to children of teenagers. In My country I can say 98% children don't know bitcoin. In fact, bitcoin can be future money. If the children not familiar with cryptocurrency or bitcoin, how can they face the digital era in the future.
Teenagers or children, perhaps it does not need any explanation about in bitcoin, due to it will surely they won't get it or understand it at once. Much better to teach or give them a games that paying bitcoin, so with that they will become  familiar unto it, especially if they like the games and it can become their one of their hobbies in along run. Then little by little explain the usage of bitcoin. Smiley

We need not think that far because young children certainly do not understand bitcoin. And if we tell bitcoin sure they are also difficult to understand. If we tell adults about bitcoin would be easy to understand because they would be interested because they would think of the benefits. Smiley

Teenagers are not that fully minded on this kind of activity they think that bitcoin will always be underground play ground kids nowadays are addicted on gambling where they already had bad hobbits like smoking and other things that might destroy their futures. Explaing bitcoin to teenagers like you're talking to deaf people. Who can't even hear you.

Bitcoin can be difficult to explain but so can money and what teenager really knows how that works, hell most people don't know how money really works.
I think a teenager would probably be the easiest generation to teach bitcoin to, you don't need to teach them the whole in's and out's just a bit about public/private key pairs, sending/receiving addresses and secure coin holding and they will pick up the rest very quickly. Smiley

Teenagers cant easily understand what is bitcoin, whats the process, how it works. But I think, the easiest way to explain bitcoin to teenagers that its a digital currency, money online and shows some videos how does it works. Presents some video that teenagers can easily understand.
I agree. Adaptation for teenagers is easier tha adult since they are still im the stage of developing and learning. As long as they have an interest in such thing, it would took not so long for them to learn it.

Well, it's good for us to motivate teenagers and teach them about what and how is bitcoin works, so when they grow up, they are not 'shock' about bitcoin and still updated about online currencies. The most easiest to explain bitcoin is by explain them using a simple word, like online transaction, money things, buying/selling online. Teenagers will understand about that.
Explaining to them about its uses they will surely got interested into it but does depend if they have too much learning or idea about tech things but if not they will hardly understand when you try out to explain it to them for the very first time but sometimes this way would work or not specially on the first time on explaining to them.

Yeah and besides of these there is a better way to explain through presentation and practically .
Because practical ways are the real ways to understand without forget in the future .
So to take study about the bitcoin in practical way is a better option for everyone and every category of the people children .

LOL

perhaps they will it explain to us?

Just ask them to install a wallet and pay their pocket money that way; soon they will be creating their own smart contracts on ETH for doing chores etc.  Grin Grin Grin

Exactly, that is how young generation grew up with modern technology, they can explore it after you make some bit explanation to them, you dont mind after a montg they got more coins than yours.

Yes the younger generation is very smart. they will learn about btc and how to utilize it very fast. but the problem is they are distracted by lot of online contents which make them lose there focus on making money. so the best way to teach them is we have to choose the people who are more enthusiastic on working and earning money online. we have to explain them how it works may be a presentation or online tutorial will not be bad idea to achieve this task.

They are not quite smart IMO, it's just they are born in what we call "Information Age" where information is flooding to the very depts of individuals ( unless internet and personal computers are not in your home and you don't care about the technology nowadays ). The brilliance of youngster nowadays is a product of what they have grown up or what they have seen these days, even if dad is born in these age he will catch up so soon too, too bad they lived in a different era ( but not all oldies are not open minded to new technology). For me I won't let them fucos on making money, I will teach the basics and foundamentals of Bitcoin and explain what is the possibilities why and how it is created. Let them grow without greed. Let them grow with knowledge and discipline. It's true that they will learn along the way by guidance and they will have an idea to make money using bitcoins, but I think what's more important is to let them learn that Bitcoin is not just all about money, its about freedom and making the world's currency better without the powerful people that squeezing your money to your very veins.

As a teenager or a millenial we grew up with the new technology. And explaining to teenagers, what is bitcoin? Is not very hard to understand because some teenagers wants to earn money already. But maybe explaining to a child is hard because every child wants to play, not earning money.

Yes, to millenial it is not hard to tell them on how bitcoin works, just introduce them the bitcoin and for sure they will do the moves and explore more on how bitcoin work and be earned.

I agree. My kids just watched me the first time I got involved with bitcoin and other digital assets. The next thing I knew, they too were buying cryptos of their choice in exchanges with their allowance. The kids of this generation are adaptable and they learn technology faster

children dont understand banks/fractional reserves etc..

the best way to explain it is in gaming terms,

like their games assets (whether its tradable pokemon or weapons, food, healthpacks in some RPG)
these assets are stored based on the username and password.. you can send assets to someone else by knowing their username which you/they are free to hand out to anyone.. but no one can take assets(pokemon, weapons, healthpacks) from you unless they know your password and you cant send them to other people usernames without using your password to authorise the trade.

there are many websites where you can look up that statistics of who has what asset(pokemon, weapons, healthpacks) and you can use your password on many websites to move your assets to other people. the assets(pokemon, weapons, healthpacks)

the assets(pokemon, weapons, healthpacks) are not stored on just one website but linked directly to your username and many websites just store the statistics pages of what username has what asset

now the username is called a address and the password is called a private key.. do not tell anyone your private key as thats your key that should remain private. but if anyone you like wants to give you gifts or see what you have be free to tell them your address

precisely among children I think is not appropriate when it is explained about bitcoin I guess when you're 17 years can only be given a thorough understanding of bicoin. if my children are the exact gaming

There are lot of countries are the same case like yours. Then in my countries also bitcoin was not that popular yet, it is still most of our fellow citizens here are not familiar with it. Now in terms of explaining bitcoin to teenagers, I think it will be very hard to explain to them what bitcoin it is so the better things we can do is let us show to them only the usage of bitcoin, example explain only that bitcoin can be use as sending money, payments on billings, and use for shopping online something like that.
