How to expain bitcoin to a child/ teenager?
It is difficult but if I will have to explain it, it is like studying in school. You have to invest time to learn, you have to explore things, when you want more result, the more time you should take time to study. As per me, I am involving and spending time for me to learn, exploring the amazing things behind bitcoin.  Grin Grin

Don't confuse them by introducing bitcoin to them in such a small age where they might don't know much about these things, let them come to know about it when they grow higher, it would be easier for them to understand the technology when they grow higher, don't put them into it right now.

Yeah and I don't think that this can be the best time for them to get into bitcoins as at this early stage they may find bitcoin complicated and confusing concept and at this age they should be concentrating on their studies instead of knowing bitcoins or getting into money earning stuffs.

If youre trying to explain bitcoin to someone new, dont jump straight to the blockchain, transactions,etc.. Start with the mining and how its generated, then the price and how easy it is to earn some, also transaction time is also good to start with.

As described by the above mate initially one should not start with blockchain, transactions and all. Its better to start with differentiating bitcoin from other digital currencies that we use in our daily life and start explaining. This gives clear understanding to the people who are willing to be into bitcoin and other digital currency usage and earning.

If i will be able to explain bitcoin to my kids in the future i will approach them in a good manner wherein i will tell them that if they need extra money they can start by knowing how Bitcoin works or if they have a small online business i can teach them how to integrate Bitcoin payment into their online payments.

All I know is that I know nothing.
in my opinion it really doesn't matter who you are trying to explain bitcoin to. whether it is a teenager or an adult, a female or a male. you should always stick to the facts when explaining about bitcoin to someone else.

for example i have seen many people say bitcoin will make you rich and all that speculation stuff, this is a very bad idea to introduce bitcoin like this.
Yeah people start believing that they will become rich with bitcoins in a quick time but they forget the fact that its not possible to become rich with it overnight, you need to make great efforts to earn it and if you can manage to have higher amount of bitcoins in your wallet then you can get rich with it in future.

you are interpreting what i said in a wrong way. the way that i am saying you should stay away from!!!

yeah i agree that you can make a lot of profit from bitcoin the price is going up and all that trading on the side.

but i say when you explain bitcoin to someone you should explain it as a currency and talk about benefits of bitcoin as it was intended to be aka a currency. all the talk about earning bitcoin and profiting from holding bitcoin is useless when you want to introduce bitcoin to someone who has never heard about bitcoin before.

I'm not quite sure if Bitcoin is appropriate for children and teenagers but in terms of explaining how it's functioning it should be easier then to other groups. They are more familiar with new technologies then older generations and  they addopt informations easier and faster.
But I wouldn't let them into cryptocurrency word before they are 18.

Its much easier to explain bitcoin to a teenager vs an old person who knows nothing else but fiat.  Children are fresh to the world the concept of money is strange.

I know. Some of the older persons of today are grumpy and not even open to suggestions. They think they know it all already. They are just close minded

You can't really teach children, but for teaching teenagers I think it would be easier to understand for them as once they hear the word "money" they're usually attracted. You can use an analogy to compare Bitcoin to Money for example, and talk about the government and blockchain.

Explaining bitcoin was really quite hard. When it comes to my friends they even are having a hard time to understand what bitcoin really is how much more for those kids who's primary focus was to just play. Well, I've also seen a lot of teenagers right now who's try to adopt bitcoin but most of them are only those who are exploring things out on the internet.

I don't think it's a good idea to explain bitcoin or enforce the ideology that bitcoin is good to children as they are not yet mature enough to understand what is really going on and the economic aspects of it. They may actually just take it as a tool to gamble, or do illegal stuff.

i believe it mainly depends on what age you are talking about and also mostly it depends on where you live. for example if you want to explain bitcoin to a child in a country that there is no usage for it apart from online gambling, there is no point in doing it.

but if you live somewhere that there are shops and places outside that accept bitcoin it is not such a bad thing to explain about bitcoin to a teenager.

I think not all the teenager prefer to work and earn money. I think it is only a small part, I mostly saw him spend and squander their money for shopping? I think we can get them interested in shopping using bitcoin, where they find it easy to shop and get discounts with bitcoin

That is a better idea to give them a bitcoin to buy,in that way the may be able to understand how the bitcoin will work. Also with them having a bitcoin,it will open them to the online reality of digital currency as it is the future trend.

This is the effective way to explain bitcoin to them, let them use bitcoin. But I am bit doubtful if you are going to teach them how to earn with bitcoins.

Its either good or bad result, Good result in a manner that as early as youth they already learn how to make money with bitcoin.

Bad result, teenagers must not be working and just focus more with studies.
If you explain the importance of digital currency in the future and to convince the child that cryptocurrency that will allow him to be realized in life, it is very easy to understand talk about the meaning of the most bitcoin coins, then I think that this idea is not bad and will bring relevant benefits very quickly. Children always want to become financially independent.

Most of today's kids know a lot more about technology compared to those born in 90's. They easily figure out how gadgets work and with that, it is easier to explain to them what bitcoin is. A good thing for them to start learning about bitcoin is give them an actual wallet that they can play around with.
Which it right as we knew kids they love exploring so with the information that they can earn using bitcoin for sure they will for it and they will also try to know how to earn it.
