2017 investing in ICOs is quite easy and the profits are also big, that's because there are not many ICOs like today and honest and responsible developers are included.

Now, I think you just stop investing in ICOs the greater risk and loss you accept.
Since 2017 most ICOs did not deliver what they promised and the unrest that this creates among investors forced them gradually shuru down the project. There is lack of regulation here in the altcoins sector and you will be wasting time searching because the number of legit projects are way less than the number of scam projects and failed projects combined.

The better and more logical process is to observe charts and buy Bitcoin. Because bitcoin will be big in future any day and you will never face such bankruptcy problems or so with bitcoin.

Even the newly started DeFi and NFT are working simialoand they will end similarly too.

I haven't participated in ico in a very long time because most of the ico's are just filled with unclear and scam projects. many of the new coins produced from ico have very low prices and eventually become dead coins. it is better to participate in IDO because most IDO projects are able to generate profits quickly. although sometimes the investment funds are limited to very small but IDO is much more promising than ICO.
You're are wrong as ICOs are profitable last 2016-2017. The major scam happens to them by 2018 when the market is in the bearish season and until today. I can't blame people will think it was worthless and nonsense projects as that is the reality and investing in them will never guarantee returns instead of losses.

ICO, IEO, IDO, and even NFTs, scam projects exist. We can't hide this sad reality as many scammers have been around looking for their prey. So finding ICO that is worth investing in is a failure.

I have seen many ICOs in 2017, but for now ICOs seem to have been abandoned, because they were replaced with IDOs and IEOs, you can see the list in the link above, but keep doing research because not all ICOs are profitable, some project developers are also doing vesting to avoid a drop in the price of the coin, but if the project is good, then the price can rise quickly. like the ASIX token which is currently being hyped
If you don't have the ability to look for new projects then you don't need to invest because this is a big risk and I see now that other IDO sales have started to decline it seems the hype will soon fade and new trends will come again, we must be ready if you want to invest in new projects that on the run.

The ASIX token has decreased, the hype is gone, the project concept is not very clear, it only explains the family tree, not about the product that is prioritized.

Currently it is very difficult to find a good ICO project and worthy of our investment, and this project seems dead because it can not compete with new projects such as deFi, NFT and metaverse that increasingly dominate the crypto world and the development of the project is very fast and many investors are interested in following it, then now is no longer the time to follow the ICO project and can already use new projects that are more profitable for us in investing.

Unfortunately, 99.99% of all of those projects do not really have anything positive for the market and they just take money without getting anything back. I do not know what could be a method where we could stop people to just start a project whenever they want. I keep saying that a project would take maximum of 1 or 2 hours to build, and then a bit of money to do marketing and it shouldn't be this easy.

We should be focusing on something that would be a lot better in the sense how we could end up stop it, if we could stop it then we could be doing better because there will be only just good and decent projects unfortunately that is not the case right now and all these shitcoins are hurting the market.
There are no stopping from the rampant case of scam projects. Almost all of the new projects coming in the market are not that reliable and have turn to scam projects before we knew it. So if you aim of looking to invest for some worthy ICOs, that will be very hard these days. I suggest to never take risk investing in them, just go with bitcoin and reliable altcoins that have been profitable in the market. There are also some valuable projects that have became profitable in short term, but always take caution before investing in them.
We've better not or else, we just lose our money and time with these ICOs. In fact, their time has been done already, we have to face the fact that ICO has no value in the market now. There are good and reliable projects in the market(not ICO) which I think was the best option. I think we have to move on and encourage people to forget about ICO because the truth is that they are already passing by, there are new projects creations that are worth enough compared to them.
We can divert our mindset into investing old projects that have been still profitable until now. Unlike ICOs that have been very frustrating these days as we cannot rely from them anymore for a decent amount of income. Although there are some have remained to be profitable, but their value is not that really high compared before. So lets move on and focus on other projects that will make us profitable instead, but definitely stay away from memes and shit coins as they are never good for investments.

I cannot provide you such details on finding worth investing ICOs as they are not the trend today. Gone are those days where ICOs are indeed giving us reliable source of income. Instead, divert your interest into more worthy investments like sticking to bitcoin and potential altcoins. This way, i can give you assurance that you will never be losing most of the time, provided that you have more patience and definitely more determination to hold despite of the price corrections that may suddenly come along the way.
Yes I agree, everyone should be investing their money in bitcoin, Ethereum, and other good Altcoins such as Cardano, Binance Coin and the rest of them. But don’t forget that airdrops are free to participate, so it wouldn’t be bad to also keep trying your luck. And if you’re not someone who is a day trader and what you’re doing is simply investment which you HODL for a long term, you would have enough time to try other things. The only thing airdrops is the fact that the chances of winning is very low, that’s why a lot of people loses interest in it.
There are still many ICO projects that are very good and that it is worth the effort to do them, only now I limit myself to seeing first in the forum and see which campaign manager carries it out, it depends on that I decide whether to enter or not, namely the The best projects are those that have a pre-sale and public sale stage, when they are reliable projects given by excellent campaign managers, the trick is to buy in the pre-sale, because the public sale is a total success, and according to the market in the stage that is done is a guarantee that a great bullish style movement can take place, that is the strategy that I have applied for the ICOs.

ICO used to be very lucative during 2017 bull market, things have changed from that time. We have seen decentralized financ replace ICO as you can do a lot to earn with defi! There are still different project out there raising fund to develop their idea in cryptocurrency and most of them already have a working product.

It is a thing of the past and not worth our time and money to study. Currently, there are many new and profitable ways to approach projects, such as IEO, IDO, Parachain, lockdrop, stake, etc., but in my opinion, new projects also have many risks if the criteria are met. Personally, I prefer projects that already have products and stable performance in the market rather than starting new projects from the beginning.

Now is not the time to invest in ICOs from last year ICOs are no longer the choice of investors because ICOs are dead, to invest in the future we can see current trends such as in NFT or the metaverse, but we must look in more detail at the projects we will invest in, especially in the destination and developers and has a team that is experienced in crypto.
I would guess that pre-sale is still considered ICO in some sort of way. Doesn't mean that it would be considered ICO just because it is named that way is a very old school approach and we should be approaching every pre-sale type of situation like ICO, and there are tons of them out there.

I believe that we are getting a lot, we have 17k+ projects just on CMC and I have seen plenty of projects that have been out of CMC and not get listed, which means there must be something like 30k+ at the very least projects. That must be like at least 5k+ projects every year, and that means we are talking about 10+ project every single day, and most of them have pre-sale.

Assuming at least 10 per day, that is seriously insanely good and I would be very proud to say that I do not lose money on most of them because I avoid investing into rug pulls but it shows you how much we need to be careful.

Here's how to identify an ICO worth investing in.
1. studying the project’s whitepaper is essential as it is a document that tells potential investors about the project’s architecture, the market, and the risks.
2. The developers are not anonymous and the background of each project team member.
3. You should avoid uncapped ICO as you won’t know how much tokens will be created during the presale and crowd-sale.
4. Check how active this token’s community is on different forums such as Bitcointalk or their Slack.
5. You should be completely aware of what happens after the ICO is over and how the generated funds will be used.
6. It’s always a good idea to check out how equity and ownership are distributed among the founding members.
7. Do not invest unless there is a product or you can see clear signs of the product being built.
8. Having a roadmap is also crucial for the success of the ICO.

Now there are no investors who want to put their money in the ICO, even now there is an ICO offer that promises to give a 1000% reward or get 10x coins after investing, too many scams so investors prefer to invest in IDO which is more secure and can be sold without have to wait like in ICO.
Scam projects can't just be found in ICO alone as it was spread across the market. I know investing in ICO projects isn't worth it but never put everything turn to zero coz there are some to be found great but the chances are close to zero and that was a big problem and really challenging to find them. And instead of spending our precious time digging them, better to invest known coins and to increase our chances to gain a profit.

This is definitely not an easy task op. Euther you put in the effort or spend for spoonfed information. First option includes going through lots and lots of startup projects and checking every developing team, every community, road maps, marketing strategies, usecases and tokenomics which is quite a hassle for some while for others not so. It depends on what type of person you are. For the second option however, you just have to pay for some good signals about gems that are about to shoot up(start up projects that have great potential or low cap coins) and do nothing but buy what you're being told to. Here, all the hassle from the first option is done by the one beung paid by you so you don't have to move your lazy ass and just expect money to rain on you. Of course, you still have to beware of scams so be sure to find a credible source before payung and using their services. Hope this helps Wink

Now we rarely see ICOs, we are in a different era, now the public sale is with the IDO concept, where the project sells it on an incubator or exchange platform that is considered to guarantee the maintenance of a price equal to or higher than the initial purchase, and very many have succeeded in the past. fly high with this concept.
NFT is the new ICO today. It's still almost the same and there's not that much change except they're NFT! IDO and IEO, they're also the same as the ICO.
Still, all of them are all about crowdfunding and there's still a lot of interest from various investors because most of them are still optimistic about the possible outcome of a project. Yet, the scammers are also going with the newest trend for them to fool people, especially the newbies.
