The era of investing in ICO is long gone. Investors are more concerned about NFTs and Defi tokens. Its best to understand the trends in the market and align your investments strengths to that which is obtainable. The objective of investing is to earn more from your capital and ICO's don't seem to be a good option to me.

This.
Weren't they more like "obsolete" after that year? Most of it don't even reach the softcap at all due to how investor already perceived these types of projects.
I even recall a lot of users checking out in here through threads if they're still worth investing. I was like, "this wouldn't last a year or so" then it indeed happened.

Hello! Is it still worth to invest into ICOs? If so, how do I find the good ones? Any recommendations here ?Smiley
Try to start exploring projects with these services. They check projects before starting token sales.
But this is not a guarantee of success.

And also look at what projects large cryptocurrency funds are investing in: Andreessen Horowitz, etc.

There are a lot of scam ICOs or initial coin offerings/ that is why it is really hard to find a legit one. Before I invest in ico I will search about the team behind it and I think it is less risk if the team behind that ICO has a history of handling a successful ICO or project before, it is also good if there are a working products, or great use case because if there is already a working products that ICO has a small percentage to become scam.
I haven't invested in an ICO in a long time, and the last time I invested, it ended up being a scam. anyway, i've done some research on it, however it also ended up being a scam. Currently, I rarely participate in ICOs, but maybe there are some ICOs out there that are legit enough to support.
however, the only way to find out if it can make us profitable or not is by doing some research. but, as we know, even doing research does not guarantee that what we invest will be very profitable for us. however, I suggest that when you invest in an ICO, you need to follow all developments of the project. That's so you know when the project is listed, new partnerships, and so on. You can also know the potential of a project by continuing to follow their development.

Are new project still doing ICO? Just Keen to know. I think what most projects now do is a presale launch and IDO. I don't think there's any ICO anywhere. Anyway, I may be wrong. Just speaking from my own observation.
The days of ICO are over.

I wish not good luck but I wish that people will do the research first before investing as maybe there is something left that is worth investing in.

Yes I agree with you. ICOs are over. But IEOs (or IDOs) continue. They have very good ROIs.

As long as centralized exchanges continue to exist, IEOs will continue to bring profits to investors. Centralized exchange tokens purchased at the right prices are a very good investment tool. I wish you the best of luck in purchasing at the right prices. I guess we need some luck for that (unless we use special technical analysis methods). I wish you a good day.

I think ICOs are very dangerous. IEOs are more advantageous. Try joining IEOs of sites like Binance and Coinlist. Kucoin and Gate IEOs also earn very well. You can see how well they earn here: https://cryptorank.io/ieo-platforms-roi Additionally, Tokens you buy with IEOs reach your wallet. But the tokens you buy from ICOs may not reach your wallet. Exchanges provide a quality brokerage service in this regard. I wish you good luck.
ICO's reputations seem badly ended a few years ago when the majority of them are worthless and scamming. I have that experience and it was really my regrets of buying them. That is why for now, I certainly ignore these projects, I'd rather take my time and risk in new projects. I wish not good luck but I wish that people will do the research first before investing as maybe there is something left that is worth investing in.

We are still seeing few successful ICOs but the rest are definitely scams. And if you're looking for good and legit ICOs these days, well its really hard to find those as most of the new projects in the market end up scams. So don't expect that they could still be the source of high potential profits when most of them are not even profitable. Instead, get a real investment by investing in bitcoin as it will always be a good source of profits if you happen to sell it at its peak price.

Personally, I think that the first thing that you will have to do is to look for a reliable platform where ICOs are being listed, and when you have gotten a good platform where the best airdrops are more likely to be listed, you can then get started from there, but that doesn’t mean that you are safe, you still have to be very selective.

The good thing about getting the right platform is that you will be getting the best and as well most of the ICOs you will find would be legit. After that you have to start properly going through any ICO you see, making sure that every thing about it is good before you sign up for it.

I cannot provide you such details on finding worth investing ICOs as they are not the trend today. Gone are those days where ICOs are indeed giving us reliable source of income. Instead, divert your interest into more worthy investments like sticking to bitcoin and potential altcoins. This way, i can give you assurance that you will never be losing most of the time, provided that you have more patience and definitely more determination to hold despite of the price corrections that may suddenly come along the way.
Yes I agree, everyone should be investing their money in bitcoin, Ethereum, and other good Altcoins such as Cardano, Binance Coin and the rest of them. But don’t forget that airdrops are free to participate, so it wouldn’t be bad to also keep trying your luck. And if you’re not someone who is a day trader and what you’re doing is simply investment which you HODL for a long term, you would have enough time to try other things. The only thing airdrops is the fact that the chances of winning is very low, that’s why a lot of people loses interest in it.

Wasnt it already mentioned million times on the forum, that lately, all the airdrops are waste of time. They are either sort of a competition (and that takes time and funds to win) or scam. And even if someone get an airdrop, how much will he get? 20-50$ worth tokens, while it is not traded and no one know how the amount and value was calculated?

"How to find ICOs worth investing?" - every ICO is worth investing if you believe in its idea. Without a detailed review, choosing ICO is like a blind picking. Anyone will good. When I buy altcoins, I pay more attention on funds, partners and supporters, that are named on projects webpage. If they are huge and popular, then something good might come out in the end. Then make a triple check if this info is legit and make a decision.

Forget about icos, scammers abused the the ico model so thoroughly that no one in his right mind is going to invest in a coin that follows that model anymore, the community was noble and they were willing to invest money in those projects in order to speed up the development of this market.

However scammers took advantage of their good will and stole a great deal of all the money ever invested in icos, the community learned their lesson and as such the skepticism surrounding icos is incredibly high.
Most of the ICOs today are dead, knowing most of them turned out scams in the end. Although there are some pretty good left, but you can't rely from it anymore for decent amount of income. So never take the risk if you know you can't get rewarded in the end. However, invest more on those old and established coins, because most of them are still giving good profits. And definitely stay away from memes and shitcoins as they bring unreliable profits at all.

Honestly finding the launchpads is more important than finding the projects, I agree with that. I mean places like BSCPads, Gamefi, seedify and so forth are all getting super high returns. Even places like kommunitas which is not as big as the other ones, is still getting a lot of people investing and selling out on the projects IDO, which is proof enough that there are people who couldn't get it and wants to get it. This results with the project going x10 on the first day most of the time, then either stay there for a while and then drop, or directly start dropping without waiting too much. This is why I usually end up buying from IDO if I can, then selling on the first day as soon as it makes x2 and get out. Its basically a secure way and I rarely end up losing and even if I do, the previous/next one makes me enough money to recover that.

We had good ICO's here, but we had many ICO scams as well! I am guessing that today it's the same ratio as before, on every good project there are at least 10 scams! Choosing that one promising is really hard, that can bring high profit with very low investments! ...

When deciding to invest in a particular project, it is necessary to see which investors invested in it at the seed round stage. And if we do not see well-known companies among them, it is better to refrain from investing. It is possible that you will not receive a profit in this case, but the main thing is that you will not lose your money.

Though late reply, but just do not fund. If you do not want to gamble with your fund then don't look for ICO investment projects. All are just useless and scammers. Everyone here just eats our money. No real concept nor real development. They just raised funds and skip or rug pull. Don't believe in any brand new project. Better just choose a few reputable and top coins from the market and invest in the dip. So you wouldn't lose your 100% portfolio.

I don't think if it is still worth investing in ICO projects because 99% of them are scam and many investors are not investing anymore in ICOs, they prefer IEO and IDO but still you have to be careful when choosing a new project to invest because there are still scam projects even in IEO and IDO.
Right, even though IDO & IEO also both aren’t 100% guaranteed  way to profit by investment, In that case i would like to recommend to invest on top tier Exchanges launchpad projects those can be around 10x-20x profitable most of the time. There're so many lower exchanges run shit/scam projects IEO just because of they got paid by team.
The big name launchpads usually do increase a lot for the short period but you should not always stick long term in case they drop very sharply as well. At the end of the day, the hype from the launchpad wears off and you end up with just a simple token. If the project doesn't do anything to entice people then we will just be holding a bag.

So, if your only aim is to profit, you are not investing because you like the project, then you have to just simply sell it and get out as soon as you see enough profit. I am not saying that you should find other methods, if you like this then do it but if your only aim is to profit then you should be a lot more careful about it then long term investors.

Right but if you are attending some meetings and conferences in crypto sphere you may know how to find good ICOs, despite the fact that 99% of ICOs are scam. First of all you must look at the team behind the project and then their backed money, roadmap, aims, financial abilities and etc.
