~but it's all about the knowledge what we all have.
~

You've already mentioned it, it would all fall down to one very important aspect, knowledge. We all have entered this forum without knowing anything about crypto (most of us), hence, what makes us last long here is that the constant searching of a better prospect of knowledge and innovation as time passes by.

Basically, all you need are:
  • Motivation to improve everything and have a reason to learn something.
  • Goal that would simply lead you to what journey you are taking, and would help you not to be lost in it.
  • And most importantly, Willingness to learn, because even you have motivation and goal, if you lack of willingness, soon you'll see yourself stuck on the knowledge you already have, without searching further and gaining more.

This is basically for the psychological aspect that would help you improve your skills mostly as you start here in forum. Meanwhile, you must also be knowledgeable with the rules in all boards and the forum in general. Always keep in mind that this isn't a social media, hence shitposting and spamming wouldn't help you as newbie.

Welcome to the forum @hunter...... The need start post you have to read -are on pinned topic above the home pages of boards-

I think there will be no impact at all in the forum if they'll just squeal on how to make some bucks in this forum. If they don't educate themselves then expect that there will be no change.
This is a reply to one post I made -for newbies- although the reply went beyond what the post is about, but that few words of advice is what makes legendarys

As a newbie you if you had outstanding understanding about topics/threads fantastic, but if you don't keep the gusto up
Probably (I’m not going to stat-proof my statement), over 80% of the first post are bounty related in recent times, so the goes that for a first impression. That does not have to be a constant, and people snap out or evolve (hell, 13 out of my first 20 posts were (experimental) bounty related).

Greetings seniors and to my fellow newbies out there! Just wondering on how to improve my skills here in BBT? I'm asking for essential tips for me to learn and explore, and to share my point of views in every category. Because i believe it's not about merit, earnings but it's all about the knowledge what we all have.

Actually,  this was my first time joining this kind of forum and I felt like so excited to learning from all of you guys.

You don't need skills to join this forum,  participate in different discussion,  read and understand different content etc.
You only need to invest your time and effort.
If you wants to offer some service here like programming,  logo design,  translation etc. than you need some skills 😀

That's the reason why I join to the btt because set aside on GitHub I can earn a lot of knowledge and skills with the help on the different programming skills also the stack overflow makes more knowledge on programming but in relayed in bitcoin or crypto you can find it here too.

You are correct Sir! Smiley
I would suggest you to focus on specific topics first. For example, get level expert knowledge in mining and not novice knowledge in everything.
You could also learn basics of everything first, then focus on specific topic. Its up to you, but in the end would be great for you to be expert in some Bitcoin field.

Your question is to vague, so here's a vague answer for you - practice. There's a rule/myth that you need 10,000 hours to master a skill. Even if the number is wrong, the idea behind it isn't - you need to put a lot of hours and effort, and also be smart about your learning.

If you want to understand Bitcoin better, you need to start with reading Bitcoin books, then you can read some quality blog posts or discussions to gain even deeper language. You also will need to learn fundamentals of cryptography, computer science and networking to truly understand Bitcoin.

Honesty is one of the main qualities that you can offer to this forum.

As for their skills, I do not know what to say, because it does not say what they are, but as they have told you in the previous post, there are some basic parameters to follow, in fact any user regardless of rank, experience, should review at any time Those links, three, four times, as necessary.

Finally reading is the best source of knowledge offered by this forum.

As a beginner, It might be easy to get overwhelmed with everything going on in the forum. Like other members have suggested, read through the threads via links posted by other members.

After that, You're all set to start contributing to the community. You can start by engaging in conversations and providing useful contributions to discussions. You can also contribute to projects on Project Development section of the forum. With time, you'll learn how things work around here. Once again, welcome to the community!

Spending some of your times would be enough if you want to learn about cryptocurrency. The forum has all the resources you need. If you want to improve your skill on crypto, start playing with cryptocurrency. Eventually, you will be able to improve your skill.

A lot of important links are already suggested by the other members. I think experience is important too because that is where you could get the information that you could share with others here in the forum.

You need knowledge about bitcoin, read the forum rules, good at English. Also always do a constructive post to help other members in their topics, as long as you stay active in the forum I guess everything will be good to go.

Welcome to BT.
Take a look at the prototype for the newbie welcome message -

It has not yet been integrated, but it contains very useful tips and is very concise.

Another useful tool for you would be the SEARCH bar, which is one of the top icons on the page. It would grant you access to the plethora of information available on the forum

A newbie is talking about earning merit doesn't look a true newbie though.

Apart from knowing the rules of the forum, if you are looking to learn and know more about Bitcoin and it's technicals you should focus mainly on the following boards
- Development and Technical Discussion
- Bitcoin Technical Support

That's great, I like the thing you have said about knowledge over earning money, its better if we mind first on how are we going to gain knowledge before how we earn money, this forum is really good for sharing crypto information. There is much information related to cryptocurrencies, so if you want to be updated about things happen in the crypto world, this forum is really good for you. Try to make some research or keep reading some posts in this forum so it any improve your skills someday.
