Market has started to grow up so a very good time to invest in the crypto right now..go for top coins of marketcap like invest heavily in bitcoin and ethereum...then may be go for litecoin,iota,neo and waves...5k for eth and btc and rest 3k for other coins.
Theres nothing to ask for,if you are willing to hold for that long time no coins are applicable for that than bitcoin
But investing in cryptocurrency required no demand,why needed to make mainstream before you decided to take that long?if you are having this conditions (things that we dont)i guess better not to enter this communitu youre $8,000 is enough to invest in own offline business,people like youre mind is not deserves to be here because only brave and high risking persons are thos who become successful in this

I think that the best move is to invest a large portion into the early stages of good ICO's in order to get a big discount, or to buy altcoins that were just introduced on exchanges with cheaper prices then in ICO. This way you have a big chance for your coins to grow in value in the future.
I would also think about finding a really good ICO that will bring you a lot of profit. However, the part of this sum will be invested in good altcoins.

you can invest on different coins is best but don't invest on one coin because it is gives loss so you should first select three or five best coins and so invest on that coins.
finally someone who thinks like me, investing that big amount in one coin could be the worst idea ever, he need to split it for some more coins cause thanks to that he will be able to earn more or lose less.
I would advise you now to buy TDZ tokens. In my opinion, it will give a good profit to its investors in the future. It is perspective project.
