How do you know if it is a scam? Because I have encountered a bounty that let me finish all the translations first and didn't respond to me after I have passed it. I hope bounties will not be like this anymore because they demand and we did our part but they didn't do theirs. I hope you could answer my question.
There is one hint or the other that makes you believe that the team is fishy and the project is fishy. To begin with they do not comply with KYC checks. The team often uses images of some other individuals. The project too seems fishy. They refuse to give key details about project etc.
These are some of the methods to know. But still you can be deviced.

The key is looking at the team. An ICO must have clear a public team members that show their real faces and have a verifiable identity, if not ... suspect.

So... should i suspect that Bitcoin is scam?   Roll Eyes

Mostly, it is very difficult to say if the project will become a scam in the future as most of the scam teams now have become very expert in their work and can easily scam much amount of investment. But the most important part of any successful project is surely its team and also it's great if it has done some previous projects. Just check the LinkedIn accounts of all the team members and see whether they are trusted and also potential members this will help you in getting away from scammy projects.

Look its management if it is trusted or not. Look also if it's worth the try. and also if it is active. there are some bounty that took many months exceeding to a year for doing bounty. find a buddy then hunt trusted bounty together.

You can check the team behind the ICO. Most of the ICO's are proud to show who's behind the team. Checking on their linked in account or other social media platform will also help. Knowing the expertise and experience of the leaders will give you an assumption on where they can lead. You should also check the whitepaper, majority of the scams can't even construct a presentable whitepaper. If you smell that there is something fishy on the campaign, most likely it is a scam. The more you research on the ICO, the more you will feel if its legit or not.

I thinkk the first thing you need to find out is the team members. To see who they  are if they are good enough to lead the project. If you can find such information, you had better be alarm.

Join the Bounty community on Telegram. See how they manage the Bounty, or you can check their website pages, manager info, project progress. These are the most basic ones for you to know if a bounty is a scam or a potential one. C
That's one of the main things. See what investors think

You can look and research the team if they are real . It would be better if they have pictures of meetings and activities in their social media and see the reviews of ICO experts.

There is no 100% exactly solution for this. You just can limit some coins/ projects that have low quality. You can search their team (search their working experience), their community (its active or not?) and their implementations according to roadmap (Do they conduct milestones as their roadmap?).  One more point, there is no bounties having high value at the first time (at ICO or presale time), the value only pumped after listing some exchanges or other good news.  How do you think?

Check the team

Nowadays the scammers are getting very innovative. They would spend a lot of money on the website and the bounty campaigns, and on the outside there will be little sign that the ICO is a scam. So even if the team looks solid, I would urge you to remain cautious.

Go back to the project which offers the bounty. If the project is convincingly legit, then the bounty is most probably legit as well. But if the project has a lot of red flags, then there is also a high probability that its bounty is not going to follow what has been agreed. Just take note that serious projects with the necessary documents, are very transparent with their project updates, and are regularly posting them for the sake of their investors and community.

Every informations in their whitepaper should be study and check well. Ensure that they have team members that their names especially the CEO were reputable that they can be research easily in the internet. Then ensure also that their project is for real that it will exist in the market then beware also of project imitation because they might show the project pictures but it was imitated from the others just for the show.

You will know if the ICO project is scam if the managers or the admins of that bounty project isn't active or replying to their participants. Also if they are not making any announcements and giving updates.

People who have experience with a lot of bounty usually more observant in knowing the signs bounty a scam. Bounty is a scam with legitimate bounty, that's the difference like the epidermis, very thin, the scam often looks like a legit bounty, so many people are trapped inside. Whereas if not follow in advance it will be difficult to know clearly bounty is a scam or not. Usually, people see from whitepapers, websites, teams and also from the wallet.

I think by reading their background you can see there in whitepaper and in the roadmap of the ICO project if it is good and has a right criteria. Then if you see that it looks like not true, then it's a scam.
