Taking into consideration the effects emotionally, socially and also financially.

And if a person don't want to end up like nothing because of gambling, he should take control of himself and put a limitations on his actions.

Serious addiction. Yes, I pretty much agree with this. But if you feel you really got it worse than others. There is actually some support groups like Gambling Addicts Anonymous. They work the 12steps just as the AA. Cheers bro. Hope you guys can get back up from this.

Maybe gambling addicts should try to do some other things out there, if the gambling for them had a big negative effect on their life, even it is financially or socially, playing some sports would be a good start.

But if you are a gambler and addict to it, you should just put a limit to the amount that you are using in gambling and don't ever try to exceed it, for your own sake.

Maybe quit for yourself and because you think of yourself, you love ones is just something that would inspire you in quitting, but I do not highly recommend quitting if you are enjoying gambling despite of your loses. Just think that gambling is just a form of entertaining and that could affect your way of having fun when you let that slip away.

That's not the only solution I believe, we should be solving on the root cause of the problem and the root cause is because of your addiction, and you need to treat it as being addicted in gambling does not bring you good benefits in staying still you might just lose all your wealth since you are not gambling anymore base on the normal way to do it.

You should have set limitations at first,
and time after time leave gambling,
reduce the amount put on bet and so on,.

But the actual root of all this is money. Money made us bet a lot of it we can get some more money. Greed is the one that follows. I think if you'll get rid of your financial problems, then you'll stop gambling. You only gamble for profit, not for fun. Only rich people gamble solely for fun, without the desire of having more money. I believe that if a gambler becomes rich (no matter how), he'll be very busy about the new things that he can afford and forget about gambling.

There's going to be a problem if you're not financially stable when you start to build a family as gambling would be one of your desperate options if it comes to desperate times. Though what you said about engaging in more fun activities to remove gambling from your mind would be a very good start

Making some other motives and objectives in life will help,try to work only for them and transfer your all focus towards it.It can be studies,job,business or sports.Do something which gives you fun and pleasure and keep busy yourself busy in that instead of gambling.
