How does one Put down Gambling for good?

If you really want to quit gambling, ask yourself first why you want to quit. Then if you have answers, use those as reminder. You may put your money to bank. Be busy with your work and think about important things you need to do. Accomplish your goals in life.
Well i've tried that already but it didn't work maybe because i don't have that much self control but if you really want to quit gambling then find something that will get your attention like playing games, sport etc. This work for me.
he might right about the reason why you want to quit gamble and make it as reminder
first of all they want to leave gamble because of financial reason
too much money wasted , they think by gamble they can make money
but it's just suck your money .

Put all your funds on a lockdown. Limit spends and make multiple wallets. Never ever gamble with a full wallet have a separate one that even if you clean it out its not the end of the world.
though how can you do that? in my opinion it is impossible to make your money not accessable to yourself
Obviously it will require help of others. I guess that most of us have someone good enough to trust him/her with your wallet passwords.
But then again - some addicted gamblers are doing this because they don't have any deep relations with other people - it is a way to fill a void in their life.

yeah it's really hard though if you're really determined to quit, it must start with yourself. although it's almost impossible to quit immediately as with all other addictions, it takes time and a lot of effort from the person quitting and the people around them. I think for people who are that much addicted to gambling, the process should be to limit playing over time and not to stop immediately

I think they should stop immediately and if a person is really determined to stop in gambling he is the one who will stop and he can really stop himself from playing gambling, it may need time to recuperate his self from addiction but I think to stop immediately and make him go to a rehab facility or ask some psychologist in what to do and what level of addiction he might be to give him proper advise with his problem.

Look for other activities and focus to the bustle. If you can not adjust your focus, you will not be able to stop gambling.

Well, if you find yourself asking how to quit gambling for good then Your on your way.  Asking that question is the first step to quitting. If you're asking the question, then you must be recognizing that it is a problem for you.  Recognizing that it's a problem, instead of a solution to your problems, will help you seek the support of others who recognize that problem within themselves too.  And, support groups work well with addictive personalities.
We have our own method or technique to quit in gambling but I believe it is hard to implement it if we just do it by ourselves, in this serious situation we need the support of our loves once because they are the once who sees better than us as we are addicted and not thinking the right way.

Yes.  The support of our families is extremely important.  Family is probably the most important factor in understanding that there is a problem.  If you are loosing all your money gambling instead of putting food on the table, then something's wrong and you need to get help.  If gambling is a problem and you love your family, then you will find a way to quit.

I am not really sure if the person who lost more than a thousand bitcoins in betking is really rich or it is his/her retirement funds invested to bitcoins and gambling it to the casino. If that person is extremely rich, then nothing really much to worry but when that person was spending the retirement money, then his/her life must be in a mess at the moment. What I am trying to say is that, even if we are not addicted to gambling and we lost this big, then life will really be a mess.

There's a few regular whales who own their own sites that try to take advantage of other's implementation of the Kelly Criterion.  They do a good job exploiting others sites for the most part, but when they lose, they just use the cold wallets of their own site to hedge the differences. All is not what it seems in this space. But, if it were someone who needed the money, then I would feel bad for them for sure....they need to quit for good.

Wow that makes sense. I just realize that now and yes, that is really close to a possibility. I was thinking that someone very rich man from the middle east were the one who was playing with that amount of money. But really we don't know who that person is - was he/she an ownder of other online casino, a typical shark, or just very rich person.

Nah, if it were a rich man in somewhere like Dubai or something, then they'd go somewhere fun to play....they wouldn't be sitting at home in their undies pressing buttons in the dark.  They'd have the showgirls and the drinks and everything else that goes with  it.  Rich people don't play for money....they play to have fun.  I'm pretty sure it was a another site owner who understands the Kelly Criterion trying to exploit someone else's code, and using their site's cold wallet to hedge, that's all....there's a couple of 'em here who do that covertly.

thats true, you should just make your funds impossible to access if you want to actually avoid it
Your give your other funds to your partner or mother or some person that you think good to handle money. So that even if you lose money you still have other money that save for some other stuff that is more important than gambling.

its true, and we don't have to confuse about if we don't have money because our money is safe in other people hands, so we can stop gambling for good because we don't have money to play gambling. first try its really hard because we are lying to that person, but for next, i think we can give our money without a doubt because we only want to quit gambling for good.

It is easy to quit in gambling if you are not addicted to it cause even if you are enjoying your gambling hobbies you will not hesitate to quit because you can let you of your loses, however, those who have big loses will not ever quit in gambling because they just cannot accept their defeat and continue gambling.
Those who never quit in gambling are those who doesn't know how to accept the truth of the result of their game. If they play again then lose again they just doubled their problem. So for me better to stop than to double my problem.

Yes if your addiction is already on the worst state for sure you are not going to help yourself alone. That is why you really need someone or a group of people in able to quit for good.

First if you want to help yourself you are going to ask your parents about your addiction so that they are going to encourage you to quit for real.

And ask your friends to help you to quit for good so that they are going to do something just to help you.

It won't be possible if you own both wallet...It would just end up in transferring your fund from one to your gambling wallet... It could be done if you could deposit your coins in an investment where you can't just transfer it easily or it requires few days, months before you can withdraw your coins...The easiest one will be to give it to your wife's wallet...  Cheesy

To quit gambling, you would have to focus your attention in to something else. You can also make yourself real tired before you go home, so once you get home, you're too tired to gamble. You can also drink a lot of beers so all you can think of is sleep. Finding a new hobby would also be good for you. Maybe try to hit the gym like you always wanted? Your choice.

Before we must do something that's makes us busy the we must really have the mindset to quit gambling and we must focus on doing that. Self discipline and a strong focus would really help you and also if you are really want to quit gambling then you could actually do that.
Self-discipline is very important when you play gambling, and we need to discipline also our self of using our money so that you cannot lose all of what you have in your pocket.

That is correct! Discipline plays a vital role in your gambling - it is something that will make you stop when most of the gamblers are suppose to rally on. It is when you cashout when you already have some profit and don't get greedy. It is something that a person stop at certain losses and will not chase their losses. That is discipline in gambling.
If we have a self-control we can really achieve what we wanted, if you play gambling just make sure you will just use the amount that you can afford to lose, and not to use all of your money. Because once you'll use all your money and then you lose, it will really hard for you to move forward in gambling.
It is easy to quit in gambling if you are not addicted to it cause even if you are enjoying your gambling hobbies you will not hesitate to quit because you can let you of your loses, however, those who have big loses will not ever quit in gambling because they just cannot accept their defeat and continue gambling.
