i think if you want to start trading with small amount, you can trying with yobit because i see in yobit there is many altcoin that have cheap price and i think you can start to buy some coins and make a profit. but be careful because there many coin too that could make you getting stuck for a while.
Yes, yobit is one of the best site to trade altcoins because of their coins there; a lot of coins to choose from and most of them are very cheap and that is good for a small timer trader and also to those people who want to experience trading altcoins. But as you said a while ago, newbies or traders should be careful because some of the coins there might help you to earn or help you to lose. So pick wisely and do research first.
to me i am also using yobit for trading alt coin.

before i could tell yobit is the best but when i see some pas accusation bad feedbacks on their thread well my guts to trade their got vanish since problems is not been solve immediately by them since their support is slow and inactive. So for both of you just be carefull on trading some alts since some of them got an issue to their wallet just stick to btc-alt then withdraw via btc so that both of you will not suffer some problems.

But even there so many bad feedback accusation on their thread which is yobit, still yobit exist and stand still. Though your advised was quite good as well, much better to be careful in it. So by making starting to make a trade it is always said starts from the basic learning in trading.

You should carefully  read bit coin site ...its better for trading.
What do you mean with bitcoin sites? Many website about bitcoin out there, if your mean is bitcointalk section trading discussion,
i agree with you because many information about trading include (method for trading, the best altcoins will be traded on the markets) the informations about analysis technical and fundamental from the traders.
There a lot of sites where you can get relevant information about bitcoin, not only this forum and as a trader you should have a lot of references in order for you to weigh the information every time you analyze it. For me, this forum is my favorite because I can interact with people and it is not bias for me, I have grown a lot of this forum so I will just continue what I'm doing.

People has nothing to be biased of so yeah. You can also try the Bitcoin core slack where you can ask silly questions but people wouldn't make fun of you. There's always someone online so you can get your answer quite quickly. Take note that people are also verbal about it whenever they disagree with somebody's answer to your question. Not that they spoon feed you there but they just send you useful links which I think is much better. It saves both yours and their time explaining about something that's already written at some article.

If you have a small amount, maybe you can start from a coin that has a price of thousands of satoshi. Well, with that, you can earn a lot of coins, and when the price goes up high, it will give you a lot of profit. For sure, you must be good in terms of analysis, and be careful.

If you really don't have any bitcoin, you can start collecting bitcoin through bitcoin faucets at freebitcoin.com, then accumulate those satoshi were you are going to accumulate every 30mins I think. Then, once you reach the amount of 0.002BTC you can try to deposit it any exchange site platform. So you are able to do some trade in the platform.

With the pace that you have with bitcoin faucets, in order to get 0.002BTC you'll spend weeks of solving captchas, which is not only boring but is also a total waste of time. 0.002BTC is like $3. Who has a computer but doesn't have $3 anyway. Just deposit that amount, or even better to deposit more since $3 wouldn't give you good profit even when the coin gets hyped. If you don't want to deposit, then just practice your trading skills and knowledge on https://whaleclub.co. It's good to have some practice on trading before you start trading with actual money.
I am also a newbie in trading but thanks for some information it will be a great help. But even though I'm newbie I have some knowledge about it like buy low and sell high.
I think if you want to start trading you should practice more and gain more experience and ask some tips about trading on veterans on trading.
Yes, thats how a person is determine to learn you need all of it . But regarding on buy low and sell high its only the basic pattern for you to earn ,the real trading not goes like that many hesitations to sell and to buy will come because of the volatility of a coin so in basic movements even you bought at low price you can still lose ,So it means you need to study the flow of manipulations ,hype pumping or dumping and the normal price for you to buy.

I will suggest you to follow the basic rulea of the Trading instead of any new experiment Because here j Already tried my stretagy to make always Profit but get loss in new new experiment in the trading .
So just bought those altcoins which has really good support in the market of altcoins ( like dgb ) and hold it for the better time until it goes to rise in the price .
I know  my many friends who lost Their money in the trading Because of Only not to have patience , Usually they bought the altcoin and try to get Profit in the hours and can't hold the patience and finally after two to three days they sold at the low price with loss .
So here my suggestion is for you that never loose your patience in trading Because sometimes it happened that a single altcoin takes long year to rise in his price ( here the best example of the doge coin should be consider )

If you have 0.01btc.you can invest it in any of the following altcoins as their price is going up.Ethereum,Dash,Monero,Decred.Dont be panic.Fix your profit limits as 5 or 10%.When you get it,just sell your altcoin to buy BTC.Just continue this process. You will get good experience.
Don't spread that 0.01 btc to different coins because you would get small profit because of high price of each coin you mentioned.
Stick to 1 coin and make an order at least +10% from buy order for short profit and repeat it.
Seriously? 0.01 and spread it to 4 or 5 altcoin?
How much profit you expect then lol , 5%? 0.00005? What you can do with that low amount profit by the way?
Of course nothing , so better to keep it until at least reach 0.1 bitcoin , feel like wastig time to earn 0.00005 or so.
Replied on wrong post? ChronoLite said better to stick in 1 coin. If you want reply on ekoice's post, do it more carefully or your post will make people confused. 5% from 0.01 btc isn't 0.00005 btc, but 0.0005 btc. (You have added to many "0").
Profit still profit, doesn't matter if that's only 0.00005 or so.

That is possible but t I think its time consuming, but well...if you are patient enough its okey or you can try other means. If he has a social media account, he can start in twitter,Facebook campaigns. Pays is enough to start trading in exchanges like Polo,Yobit and the likes. Please check for charges anyway.

Faucets created for newbies, but don't waste too much time as you can get an ico coin by participate in their signature campaign, but try to improve your crypto knowledge and trading. Focus on one coin first, after some time you can get decent amount from both of it.

It might not be profitable with such amount. Its most probably better to at least have $200. I don't recommend trading on exchange that only features altcoins like polo or bittrex and yobit these exchange only have altcoins so its not going to be safe as to where you will put your money right when you stop trading. Its best to simply convert back your coins to usd when you sleep. Now there are tons of these exchanges such as Kraken and bitfinex, these are just the two that i like to use as well.

I've also heard about trading. Do you guys have links to any guide about it here? Maybe a stickied thread or something...

Regarding trading sites, do you have any you can suggest to novice traders? Does it matter which site we'll use, like, are differences on prices or fees?

I'm looking for some ways to make money. I can probably spare a few hours a day for it.

You can actually start by using Google. Or maybe just follow this new thread (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/how-to-do-trading-1833226) To be completely honest, you wouldn't get most of the things you're looking for in this forum. This is not an all in one forum so you're better off searching stuffs on Google. Not only you'll get better results, but you'll also get instant results.

For trading sites, there's C-Cex, Poloniex, WhaleClub, Yobit, etc. Those are the most common ones and the price doesn't have that much difference even when let's say that someone bought tons of ETH on YoBit, it'll only take a few seconds for snipers to sell at that high buy on YoBit or buy at the low price from other trading sites. The fees, of course, doesn't have that much difference as well. Just see what UI and website loading time suits you the best.

Oh thanks. I'll check out the thread. The reason I'm trying to source the information here is that people would be posting comments so I would know if it is the right info.
