we have to find new things that can generate a lot of money. so that we can leave the gambling gradually. for example trading.

Well trading is not that easy and there are still up's and downs towards it, and I think gambling is natural to people who is desperate sometimes and needs money, but some tend to enjoy it, or wants to have experiences in gambling.

Just find some distraction that is the best way. I hope later that more people will stop gambling.
You must find things that you like to do and that will be good and you will also save some money.

yup distraction, that's needed, and probably with the help of the family, specially if the addicted one is still young,,,

If you are so addicted to gambling, gamble with virtual money, as in demo-money.

For example there are many video games where you can gamble, and play with only virtual money, not real like bitcoin.

Its funny because bitcoin is also considered virtual, but it;s not, its real. Virtual would be a video game money or something like that.

It could be hard to find a replacement for a current source of income especially for an addict. Support from relatives and friends will be needed until the addict can stand on his own two feet again.

If he family wants to be a sponsor of his addiction his family needs to be rich to do that but I think that on an addiction many gamblers tend to be alone because their families are leaving them because they don't want to be part of the expenses because of his addiction,

Simple: block sites that entice you to go gambling and freeze your funds in a cold storage. In that way gambling sites would be inaccessible and you don't have to worry about spending your money because it is already in a cold storage where most of your funds are on.
Not so simple like that I think, blocking gambling sites wouldn't work if we still have an Internet access.
Would be better take a rest on surfing in the Internet for a couple weeks maybe hoping to forget gambling .

Quite true. Even if you block the sites, if you still have internet access, sooner or later you'll be tempted to unblock them. But totally turning off the internet is quite brutal. Some people make a living out of internet, how can they quit that way? That also means letting go of their income for a few weeks.
Well during the therapy  (rest from accessing internet) you need to find a way to replace that income from Internet which it could be your new occupation,  isn't it better if it work forgetting gamble activity?
There must be something to sacrificed to reach this goal "quit gambling" include have no Internet access for weeks. It's worth.

Before the new gambling regulations came into the UK where you could limit how much you spend, I used to put my money in a safe bank holding account where I could only withdraw it with the signature of my mother (I was single then)

You need to find a way to control your money and let people around you help.

I think it's really good idea though. So you need signature of your mother to take your money, but i think it's not 100% prevent you from gambling. You can get money from your job and gambling again :/

If you let people around you know the problem they will help.

people are more understanding than most of us think.

The best thing is to find some distraction. That is the best option. Maybe you should to something else and that is better than gambling.
With gambling you will lose a lot of money and that is not good. It is a waste so that isnt good. Find something else is the best option.

I would suggest you gamble until you get enough money to get out of it....

just kidding of course.

Block yourself from it. I did for a while, I set up limits on websites and also asked bookmakers to not take more that £30 a day of me.

I don't see a relaxing excursion or vacation or trip as good advice for one to move away the old gambling. As the probability of returning back from the way their gambling after the trip ends have a chance. The solution to keep it off in gambling really should include all the desirable and interesting that gaves people gambling so I see it really makes sense if that gamblers will find another source of money is really worth the money without risking such a stable job with a decent payout. After all who can control is the person itself.

A vacation can help you keep distracted for that period of time. When the person has gone for that long without gambling, he may realise that he can do without it. I know a lot smokers who go to camps and cant smoke and they end up quitting in the end
agree with you. Sometimes I also do a vacation or looking for other activities with friends to avoid addiction playing playstation. someone told me. that once you get used to not playing playstation. you will come out of addiction
Instead of getting losses with the gambling we can spend the money to some other activities like going for vacations and entertaining with our family members. Because when you're spending for your family or for ourselves, we will not get any disappointment but the gambling losses are more disappointment especially for myself.
Spending money for other activities, will save yourself from gambling losses all the above you can avoid gambling addictions. So, getting some vacation from gambling is highly recommended to avoid addictions and it will give you a good refreshment to your mind.

It is one way good enough. But it is only a temporary effect gives way and may not be permanent. Because if the gambling addict will not quickly fall asleep against new things, even though they've done such a long vacation with the intention to eliminate the addictive against gambling, gambling they will soon after the holiday was over, because they still have thoughts of gambling. So the key to eliminating the addiction is to delete all the memory for gambling. If gambling has been lost from the memory of the mind, then it will be of help in any way he stopped in gambling
