For people who cannot control themselves in gambling then that is a serious problem with them and they should stay away in gambling, but if that person is already addicted, so he needs some help from the family member that would advise him on what to do or take him to the professionals.

Well if they really can't control themselves it is better if they are going to limit their money and don't use it for gambling. I know the feeling of being an addicted to gambling it is very hard for you to get out of it. Unless you are not willing to do it and you are not going to get some help from your friends that you know they can help you.

I think it is really hard for a person that is addicted in gambling to take away by his own his addiction because of the urge in the mind that he is experiencing well the only hope you can get is by putting your faith in GOD to take away your addiction from you, you can surely need help from your loving family to guide you from this problem.

Praying to God and asking for help on your problems in life would be very helpful , He would definitely guide you on how to solve your problems not literally but he shows ways but the important thing is you must help first yourself so that he could help you dont just pray without any actions done its still useless.

Totally agree with this. You don't even really have some medications in order to stay away from gambling. The best medicine of getting out to gambling if it destroy your life and get too much addicted to it is - the will power!

That is not easy to do if an addicted person wants to quit gambling already. Even in other things if you are addicted you are going to have hard time for you to be able to quit on it. That's why they needed to be guided and someone is going to motivate them and going to focus for them to quit on gambling because it is very hard if you are going to do it alone.

It is depend on us, there's a person that really know how to quit but they don't put it in there mind that they need to do it now. They should continue until they really don't know how to stop in a long run. But if that person stops immediately he can really recover as early as he wanted.

No advice will help an addicted gambler as long as he himself decide to quit gambling. Because staying away from gambling is not at all possible after addictions. Most of the gambler decide some time to stay away but they breach it more often. When your self control comes to play for you, you may find any possible positive results for staying away from gambling.

Agree, its not really easy to stay away from gambling if you are already get addicted into it , you would definitely find ways to play on it. Even if they block the gambling site in your browser and still useless because you could easily play outside on another pc. Finding hobbies and things that would keep you busy would be also a good idea.

I like the way how you discipline yourself, actually we can still gamble so we can enjoy and not totally stay away in gambling if you are really happy doing it, but just always remember that you need to have a limit and doing a budget for your gambling needs would be better.

Yeah that's a good list for disciplining yourself. I am going to do that the same so that I am going to control myself too. But the most common and helpful thing to do so that you can totally stay away with gambling is by just doing the list number 4. Do something else that is going to get your attention so that your focus is going to change.

1)   That I have a monthly budget. If I lose it all then no more poker for me until next month.
2)   Play games that allow me to play poker for longer periods but to spend less money. Example: I play tournaments and not cash games
3)   Avoid Tilt at all costs. When you lose a hand you may enter in tilt and you may try to recover your money in the next hand but that only makes you lose even more money
