Drugs and gambling addiction are both bad to a person. Actually, any addiction can be bad to a person because too much of something can do more harm than good. Drugs and gambling addiction does not just destroy financial status but also emotional and social capability of a person. Replacing one with the other is a bad idea. So, it is better quit on those two before you get addicted and ruin your life.

I think he is only identifying the difference between the two. Admittedly, both are really bad if you are addicted to it because I was once addicted to all and it really brings nothing good into my life. I am now a changed mind because of the help of my family to completely quit, but as an investor I cannot help my self to invest in gambling sites as I know how profitable it is.

I get your point, you can buy drugs constantly depends on how much you need to get pleasure every time you using it, so you will stop if you get satisfied, and in other side, in gambling, it totally depends on your greediness, so you won't stop until you lose everything. But overall, drugs have worse effect, which you could risk your life literally, not only financially.

I'm pretty sure most people who gamble aren't addicts and even addicts aren't that crazy, only a few people get to that really super addicted point where they could even sell their house to gamble but those are special cases and if someone is willing to sell his house to gamble then he is an idiot, not just an addict.

To be honest, I really enjoy gambling but sometimes when I lose it is just really to accept especially when the amount at stake is material to me. Well, if you are on drugs you can also be bankrupt. I think gambling is better than drugs at least in the sense that with gambling you can control yourself mentally while with drugs you're under an influence and isn't able to think clearly.

You can buy millions of dollars worth of drugs, too.

That is the most stupid way for a desperate gambler when comes a time that he will take loans in order to continue gambling. Next to that will be bankruptcy because of the one's fault to let gambling dictate their lives.

You cannot under estimate the will powerbof a human being. But even a strong willed person will have a hard time quitting gambling once he is addicted to it. It is hard to fight a habit. It will always find ots way to go back to your system. So, it is better to seek professional help of you want to get rid of gambling problems.

The thing is professional help isn't an answer in most cases. How many people did really stop gambling after so called "professional help "? I don't know any. Maybe I'm wrong, I'd like to see an evidence that I'm wrong here.

drug addiction or substance abuse in general leads to much more problems which are also bigger problems. it also will lead to physical in addition to mental problems when you are using these substances.

gambling in comparison is nothing! you are just having a control issue even if you are a gambling addict. something that is easily fixable.

The control is the common problem of the gamblers here, because of the love of money or should I say greediness they want to gamble even 24/7 letting their bot operate the betting, the end result always a lost. If you win then you still go back because you want for more.

Yes and there are also hotlines to talk to previous addicts and people who can get you in the right path to help. It's summer so you can go walk around every time you feel like gambling to keep your mind off of it. Plus that will make you healthier

In the summer is easy actually, you just book a nice vacation if you have a normal salary if you are from USA or EU country and go to some cheap place like Thailand and keep your mind away from gambling. I would give this a try if I am too addicted to gambling, a person should try anything just to get itself off gambling.
