i think you should keep your children away from bitcoin, they should only give importance to their study, because if they start earning bitcoin then will not concentrate to their study, therefore they do not need to learn about bitcoin.
Yes i agree with you op that never teach children about bitcoin. Because almost children now know how to use cellphone loptop tablet or any gadgets for gaming so if they teach about bitcoin especially to those going in school they will not concentrate their study coz they think about bitcoin and they want to earn money.
It's too early to teach kids about bitcoin, it should be a process and kids should learn the basics first, they need to focus on their studies and maybe when they become like a teenager and they have more matured thinking that is the right timing to tell them.

I think we can introducing bitcoin to kids via game that give reward bitcoins on their games, although games are bad for kids but we can not explain about bitcoin technically, they will not understanding about it.
i think there is no point to introduce bitcoins to kids at all because they will either way not like ti
Yeah its not good to introduce it unless if you kids is smart that they can understand easily but not all kids can be interested in bitcoin. since they are in stage of playing they are always looking games to play..
well they can be smart enough to understand it and they might like it but kids actually shouldnt be involved in money

Bitcoin teach to kids I think it will be difficult but the chances of success and the kids know it's there. It takes extra patience that is sure to be able to teach bitcoin to kids.
If you have old enough and smart enough kids it is relatively easy to talk to your kids and explain Bitcoin, assuming they have an interest in it, but if they don't then there isn't any point spending your time talking to them about it because likely they won't pay attention or remember it.

The kids should be taught first about difference between paper currency and bitcoin. They should be taught how bitcoin works and its importance in future. They should be first introduced to earning bitcoin by Ptc sites.

This can be an option, I think they can already learn a lot by looking at this forum and read some topics.
Also let them look a video would be good most likely.

I agree let  it be an option for kids to learn bitcoin.  You can introduce it to them but you as a parent should be sensitive  if this  kids like to learn bitcoin or not.  If you saw a potential interest on the kid then it is the time to take it to the advance level.  If not you can try several times but still don't see any interest then let it go and accept the fact that your kid does not like bitcoin.
teach children to choose something their like or not it very nice, we can not impose our will on the child at least we have introduced about bitcoin on them.

Better not to teach all about bitcoin but you can give overall difference and features bitcoin provide than traditional paper cash. May be slowly they will start searching more about bitcoin themselves if they find it intresting, if they learn themselves than they may understand it in a better way.

It is true that someone learns in a better way if they are learning something by their own well, but if someone is forced or told by someone else to learn something they wont be able to get it in the way the person wants.

You guys have got this all wrong. You think of kids like retards, who don't understand anything. If thwyre interested, they'll learn. If they're not, don't force it down their throats. I'm telling you this as a kid who likes bitcoin.
you are right. we can't force our kids to use bitcoin anyway.. we should respect their own opinions and thoughts also.
but I think teaching them and informing them about bitcoin is not a bad thing.
we should teach them about bitcoin. and then this is their choice to choose it or not.

Exactly, if a kind is really interested in something than you wont really teach to teach him step by step if how it works or what it is but he will find it all out himself, but if someone is not interested at all then even if you waste all your time he wont learn anything about it.

You can give your kids a toy that have a logo or a image like bitcoin, so it's make the kids curious and start asking you about bitcoin. You can also tell them that your father is earn money from bitcoin.
Hahaha this is kinda ridiculous if they really want to teach kids to know more about bitcoin then show them in the real internet not toys because they going to ask if it is a game ? or a toy that they can play with but if the kids are going to know serious more about bitcoin then probably they going to have interest.

When teaching anything I always do it in baby steps, bitcoin is too revolutionary that even now not a lot of people don't understand it, so I will probably start teaching them about fiat, first I will teach them how to save money in order to get the things that they really want, then the history of money, gold and silver, fiat, and then bitcoin, I will probably add things like money supply and stuff like that in my explanations.
the same for me, i just tell everything in small detail because with bitcoin it is the easiest to do it like that, and i think then kids would be interested
Telling small details with kids are not that good idea because they minds are not really matured on doing bitcoin activities if he really wants a kids to teach or to know how bitcoin really works is just tell the boy to watch videos on facebook

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/9-ways-kids-smarter-money-100050132.html

This article doesn't talk about bitcoin but it got me thinking how to get kinds interested in bitcoin within the context of appropriate money management lessons. Think of we could teach kinds about it. The growth, the adoption, the inflation and retraction. The allure of the "internet money".

...what other ideas come to mind?

there's a alt called Bellacoins, there kids can play chess and earn some coins, player vs player or player vs computer.
Which is nice, because they can learn chess and win some (little) money too... I don't know, maybe shools can teach more about money, to be honest, we just learn things we don't use in the adult life lol
is the games that kids play need some deposite before playing it if yes, well it sounds like teach them to be a gambler, i mean if we focused on the games that player vs player where the winner can win some money even though it just a little i think it's kind of gambling, however i prefer to teach them to play the game that they can earn bitcoin without beting or investment.
Anyway the bellacoins concept is good though.

exactly, just ask them if they're interested on it or not, if they are interested keep going to explain and teach more, but if they don't, then don't forced them.
