So that makes the ico successful.

I really don't think so. Bounties are still the best way to get people talking about an ICO and provide the required visibility to the social media. Also we don't yet have any different method which can provide the desired results for an ICO apart from bounty campaign. If an ICO developer is saying the same statement as you, ask them about the alternatives. I don't think there is any!

Definitely bounty campaign contributed a lot in the overall success of ICO's as it is the main tool of ICO's as marketing system. There are many investors around especially in this forum that. I'm sure that all successful ICO's are those who venture in bounty program as marketing. Maybe on few is with big investors. Goodluck to the legit ICO's out there.
Bounties campaigns better know advertising of new coins and the promotion of ICO. It can help to attract people to ICO and they can invest with it. These investments can be worth a lot in few cases. 
Its very importnat i think if ICO dev or devs are not so famous like Buterin then they need it many crypto investors and intersted people use social networks like twitter so it couldnt be unseful.
I believed it is very useful all bounty programs overall success to ico because someone will be happy among the team if the bounty and ico will be faith in there jobs specially when it will be done as completion.
It does a very small scale but very targeted advertisement of the ICO. Honestly, in my opinion, the bounty program does very little and will be rewarded by very little, usually 1%. Then again it is targeted in a sense that most crypto currency investors are always online and are looking for the next coin they will invest in. Besides, the bounty participants who will be awarded coins have a chance of them buying more

But let’s talk about the bounties in marketing way. I guess it’s best.
