Bounty campaigns spread word that a new service or ico is around so I do not see how a bounty campaign could affect negatively the success of an ico unless it was found that they did not paid their participants but if that is the case then the bounty campaign will not be at fault, the failure of the ico will be the responsibility of the developers of the ico and their mistrustful behavior, but with the exception of that scenario a bounty campaign can only help an ico.

If we will not take account of bots, then bounty campaigns is highly important for the ICO projects, because they helping to spread the word and advertisement about Project around the people and community who are potentially interested.
In my opinion, bounty programs contribute greatly to the success of an ICO because through this kind of advertising, many potential investors are persuaded to invest on it. On the other hand, it can be difficult to launch the first phase of an Ico To market because these bounty hunters tend to sell all their tokens off, contributing to the dip in the value of the coin.
Bounty campaigns are essential to ICOs as this are the advertisements of the crypto industry much like the the advertisements that we see in televisions or in social media. But in this space it is already targeted to the potential investors as all of the people in this forum are interested in cryptocurrency already. The social media and blogging campaign is catered to people who can be leads into investing in the cryptocurrency.

For the people campaigning it could be useless, bad/no/low rewards etc.

Promotion is always helpful for a product. Bounty campaign is a form of promotion for ICOs. So obviously bounty campaigns can take that specific project name to many people. So I think bounty campaigns are quite useful to the overall success of icos.
I don't think that any bounty program executed in a proper manner will affect the project in a wrong way. The root cause of introducing bounty programs is to attract a high number of eyeballs towards the project, this brings ripple marketing effect and thus increases the probability of raising the handsome amount of capital through ICO. However, this observation is just regarding genuine and neutral projects because bounty programs will not always work for the projects/companies having a shady perception among the people.

Bounty programs are helpful enough to promote an ICO. Without this program, ICO won't attract investors. A well managed bounty will certainly attract investors for sure. I just notice that if a bounty was not managed well there is a negative effect to the community as well as the investore. I think it is one of the core of the success of an ICO.

I believe that bounty campaigns are one of the main driving factors of the ICO. This helps the project to develop positively and successfully, attracting as many people and investors as possible.
With so much member in the forum it will indeed help ICO positively, for them to become known and for them to be successful. bearing there ads are so helpful for them to succeed.

Bounties creates more awareness via social media such that vast information and advertisements is disseminated covering wider global views, thus resulting to the success of ICOs, of course that is why a larger percentage of tokens being allocated to bounties which shows how important it is to the overall success of the project. 
Bounty campaigns brought nothing to an ICO but awareness to the generality, which of course facilitate investments into such ICO with large number other than just an ICO without Bounties that may go nowhere, when it's community may not grow bigger to achieve the aims and desires of the Dev with which such ICO is introduced. We can infer that each ICO's Dev spent extensively to reward Bounty Hunters just that they knows their worth in creating good Adverts for their product. Hence, the significance of Bounty Programs in general to ICOs comes in no small measure.

Bounty programs are double edged sword. Some would not have bounty program because they knew that bounty hunters would dump the tokens upon listing in exchanges and it would discourage some investors however bounties are great help so that the project would gain more exposure. Some ICOs though do not need the bounties when there are so many investors who are interested in the project that it would not even last a day and they would reach the hardcap.
Money programs make us more aware of the program, you can participate in many campaigns as well as you can have plans to name more widely known ico programs.

Bounty programs are a good tool to make an ICO popular, one that if well used will be greatly beneficial to both the ICO issuers and the bounty program. l think the question is the rules surrounding bounty programs, and the existence of 'scam' projects that have seen bounty hunters invest so much and get so little in the past.

People get to know of most ICOs through bounty campaigns and then buy into it. It's good business for the developers. Otherwise, none of the devs would be needing spending money on running bounties.
