Anyone got a hashrate from that new AMD vega card?  Im interested to see if its worth it!

Thanks!

My results:

41 MH/s for Ethereum
1280 H/s for Monero

I suspect the NDA will lift around August 12 - AMD seems to lift NDA on new stuff a couple days or so before they officially become retail available.

If they make Vegas difficult to acquire as said, their affect should take longer to be felt regardless of optimizations.

You are dreaming with the AMD Vega.
AMD is a liar and was allways a liar.
 - AMD lies about they CPUs power
 - AMD lies about they CPUs memory compatibility
 - AMD lies about they GPUs power
 - AMD lies about they GPU TdP (power to refresh the GPU)
 - AMD lies about they GPU electricity consumption

And you are dreaming again about VEGA ?
Who are you ?

Strange thing, my Ryzen is faster than they announced. I like that lie :-)

What...Dont be scared of that TDP.  Remember a Fury/Nano tdp is high as hell...yet it can be run smooth as butter for extremely low power usage.  I expect the same out of vega.

I have the nano. I only run them at -100mV, so it is quite efficient.

Can you confirm any hashrates and power consumption? What's the temperature like, is it a pain in the ass to setup ?
i had some nano they running at 0.88v dual mining suck 160watt, earning almost reach 1080ti
the card pretty silence at 70c room ambient at 28c

The Vega 64 will only be available via bundle while the Vega 56 and AIB Vega 64s will be releasing in September. Is it worth paying the extra $100 and running the single blower fan on full for having it a month earlier?

Don't know where he got the information from. But if this turns out to be true as to what concerns the hashrate, that would be insane.

6xVEGAS = 70*6= 420Mh/s per rig.

Remember that this time around AMD have probably designed a heatsink likely better than that of the 290/290X, so unless they didn't and kept the crappy design we probably won't have overheating issues with the GPUs.

Benchmarks other than ETH are now increasingly important as time goes on due to the ice age incoming, which will probably change mining possibly forever. A little concerning to me right now, hopefully somebody does that soon.

What...Dont be scared of that TDP.

Little if any worse than the R9 290/290x, not that far off the Fury line for what should be quite a bit higher performance, though the comparison to the GTX 1080/1080ti doesn't look good in some ways.

I'm still not seeing any testing on coins OTHER THAN ETH to date though - and it's still early days on the drivers.

vega 500$ 290w, even undervolted maybe around 200w minimum speed must be 2x rx480, or its pointless to buy it, or wait for vega nano for next couple month should be interesting

As of latest news, looks like AMD does not care about miners anymore. They started selling their cards in bundles with cpu and motherboard at discounted prices

That way they get the money from 3 sources. Soon you will see, cpu, mb, monitor and video card in all one package, gamer package hehe

I don't think so. I think that they are trying to prevent gpu shortage from happening like it did few months ago and it's still here. Gamers are angry because they cannot buy cards, and they are turning towards Nvidia

Vega 56 could be very nice for mining considering how much it costs, current TFLOPS, and the fact that AMD highlighted optimizing the card for mining in a release slide. Mining seems to be winding down for some but Vega could help revitalize mining again. I'll wait until some miners bench the card first before buying, though.
Yeah it seems good but with 180w tdp i doubt we gonna see them in the mines but who knows maybe it will undervolt nicely. At least we might see drop on polaris card prices
