I would not say that people think so nowadays. They used to think this way, it's hard to argue with that, and this attitude towards the forum was clearly expressed and confirmed by the huge number of participants in useless bounty campaigns, whose posts littered the forum. The implementation of the merit system partially solved this problem, it became much more difficult for new accounts to climb the ranks to participate in normal campaigns, and useless bounties do not pay well enough to be massively attractive.

In general, with the rise in the price of bitcoin, paying in signature campaigns has become less tempting. Even many high rank accounts stopped seeing the point in this and left the forum. In addition, the forums themselves as platforms for communication are already dying off, people now interact much more in social networks. So those who are here now are either really fans of this format of discussions and seekers of like-minded people, or those who have not yet realised that there is practically no easy money left here.

Sometimes many of us in this Forum have a way of forgetting to tell ourselves the truth, if not for the signature campaign I believe this place won't have to be crowded the way it is. Let's say the truth, if not for financial problems some of us won't bother to either take this place serious or even be active 24/7, I know some of the members here have better and high pay jobs but it doesn't seem so for others.

Being in Bitcointalk and earning doesn't mean you'll forget the main reason why you're here, the campaign does not change anything but I'll still give credit to Bitcointalk it made some individuals who they are today. So earning should also be seen as part of the mission together with learning, giving useful information concerning Bitcoin and contributing also.

Agree with you, I'm inherently in this forum for both reasons. because basically if we continue to learn about Bitcoin and continue to contribute to the forum later the income will come by itself. because for me looking for friends, relationships, experience, and knowledge is also a fortune that we can't get anywhere except in this forum.

The point is we have to do something in this forum with sincere and sincere feelings so that we are not too disappointed if we don't immediately get income in this forum because everything needs process, consistency, and strong perseverance. I have experienced earn money trough online before knowing with Bitcointalk forum, first I joined and earn trough Paid To Click or PTC where one website give reward after watching their ads with small fund under 0.03$ each ads click and watching until 60 second. Its seems excited first time earn money trough online but few years later I know Bitcointalk forum and many bounties campaign promotion and give higher reward than joining with PTC or Paid to Click.

Earning on bitcointalk doesn't stop on signature campaigns only since there's a lot of opportunities you can take here since to many clients are posting seeking for service so you need to be skilled enough to be chosen by them. You can be a virtual assistant,campaign manager,social media manager, designer and other skilled or technical work you can offer just post your portfolio on what you can do and for sure there will be a person need that and hire your service.

Humble Bitcoin Stacktivist

All of my best bitcoin connections have come from attending meetups but I also do a good bit of connecting with people online and have met some of them in-person too. It's a great feeling.

I don't think I will ever make any money directly from this forum but I hope to gain more knowledge about bitcoin while also establishing some relationships with people who are looking to network and work on bitcoin related projects outside of this forum.

If I was going to try to make money here on the forum, I would probably promote a product like a book, website, podcast, etc. Beyond that, I don't think I will ever get into signature campaigns or anything like that.

The idea of the forum was mainly to share our knowledge with others about bitcoin and for general knowledge. A community of great minds discussing about daily riveting issues within our environment. And by extension basically promoting the idea of bitcoin through classical resolution to questions that arises in the process.
But the additional aspect of members earning through the forum is nothing but an addied privilege to forum members.

Well, the forum pays its staff but, being on its pay role is something that doesn't just come around.

On top of that,the forum has put in place innovations to help its users offer some services and get paid for them.
They've got the services board to showcase what you can do, services you can offer and be paid for them, the leverage on projects to run some publicity campaigns, hire users as participants and pay them for it and competitions the comes off and on, on here.

You've got to be ready to offer something.

Earning through forums can be possible but not guaranteed. You can for example start right now by selling products or services, or maybe freelancing if you have some skills that can be monetized online.
But if you are thinking about bounty and signature campaigns and displaying banner ads, it is probably best to build your user profile first.

What do you mean in this statement? You can definitely start earning Bitcoin through this forum by providing a service or, once you rank up you could join a signature campaign. Just start by slowly engaging in discussions and make sure to read the rules to stay safe.

This forum is really great, and you'll definitely find ways to earn your first Bitcoin here as there are plenty of opportunities. In addition to that, there are occasional giveaways in the game and rounds section as well that you could check.

Yeah, I agree if you have a skill you are not limited you can make as much as you want, and you are not bounded by rules, gone are the days of rewarding bounty campaigns in the altcoin sections, don't look for Bitcointalk mainly to make money if you happen to become part of a bounty campaign be thankful but do not stop there, you have to learn more, contribute more and enhance your skill there are very few campaigns here that lasted for months or years, glad to be part of one.
