Definitely tough to stake.  But that is actually a good thing for inflation control.

Definitely doesn't feel like 750%, more like 10%  Cheesy. With the given rise in diff, plus the inflation controls in-place, it has become much harder to stake.
*knocks on wood* so far, this coin has been a very successful experiment.
Presstab did a fine job by adding nice features to automate most of the tasks involved with block maintenance,
but I believe that those who actively maintain their blocks are rewarded with higher stakes at faster pace.

combined most blocks from 7k - 10k & still taking some time to stake.  Currently at 18+ days on most blocks.

I had some experiments with dust staking (a week ago), and I can say that I got few occasions of stakes from blocks of 65-100 HYP (dust cleaning mechanism merged them together to get 200-300 HYP) in just few days of hashing (blocks were on their full weight).

What is the optimal size of a block to staking in 9 days?

completely depends on if diff keeps rising. I would be surprised if anyone is consistently staking anywhere close to 9 days. I have a range of blocks between 5k and 10k and the average stake time seems to be around 15-17days. There is the odd one that gets lucky and stakes around 10 days and a few that are just stuck like a block of 12k at 30+ days.

agreed.

I have blocks from 2k to 7k and just hope for the best

Well, it's time for a brief report on my work on the project. I have finally become a member of the HYPlionaires club, and now I'm waiting for a certain goal to start some small targeted PPC campaigns. I'll create few landing pages for each target group (merchants, mining enthusiasts, investors) with a concise pitch depicting the technology and it's benefits. Everyone is welcomed to do the same, even simple targeted impressions are good.

I'm deeply in game development now, particularly for mobile platforms, and I feel like it will be a heavy use of HYP)

Awesome! Welcome to the club!

You guys are making excellent points here. HYPster and Hilux74, I will take both of those comments into consideration and let you know whether I can put the code together to make it work Grin

Thanks Presstab.  If you need to prioritize I think the mmm has more tangible benefits to improve staking cpu efficiency than the hmmm  Wink

Sorry, but I have to disagree. I think uh huh is truly the most beneficial one so it should be done first. Thanks.

and the source needs to be closed. don't want everyone and their brother stealin it

I'll give it another try.  I only have the one address in the wallet in question so it was likely an extra space or related copy/paste failure.

I see your name on slot 25, I assume your issue with registering on the explorer has been solved?  Smiley

Yep.  This time I just copy/pasted everything to diova dyslexic mistakes...   Cheesy

Is the ADDRESS CLAIM function of http://hyp.cryptocoinexplorer.com/ working?  I tried it the other day and still do not see a name beside my address.  Maybe I did it wrong...

I'm pretty sure its automated cause last time I did it I showed up pretty much instantly.

Are you sure all your coins are in the same address?

The system is automatic and I just tested it by registering an address through the website and checking the database.

It appears to be working.

Everything needs to be exact, no extra spaces etc.

Also remember that address =/= wallet. A wallet is a collection of addresses and the coin clients sometimes use some trickery to make it easier to use. Sometimes that can throw people off when is comes to address balances.

I'll give it another try.  I only have the one address in the wallet in question so it was likely an extra space or related copy/paste failure.
