HYP is using 50% of my low end CPU when normally it uses 3%.  I guess this is due to it trying to sync with all the fork all the time.  It has been >200 blocks behind the fork for hours and trying to sync.  I am on the correct chain.

I closed HYP so I could continue to mine Monero as I can't do both efficiently.

Update:  I restarted HYP and it is back to using it's usual CPU usage.

Yes, the additional CPU usage is from trying to catch up on both chains. This will stop once most people update their wallets and that fork dies off. Once the correct chain is longer that the wrong one this will help as well. The current blocks are 236797. IF you have any difficulties go on IRC and help is always available there.

so it safe now to resync wallet? about other chain , noise23 did for tek was ,to drop or ban older version of wallet to force updates , tek now minted in under mins

I agree wallet should have banned older wallet versions. I have 2 wallets, one was open during fork, the other was not. The wallet that was open stayed on correct fork
for 24 hours then connected to bad node. Now both are out of sync. Both have minted, though I do not want to try coin control until sync problem is resolved.
Really need to kick older versions off of new fork, or this can go on for quite awhile. Blocking older versions will get their attention, as they cannot sync or mint.
That is how I found out about other coins changes. Made me go and check the ANN and find out what was up. Presstab you may have to revise latest wallet version to
stop numerous forks, as older wallets start creatin new forks? Both of my wallets are now on different block heights and different estimated blocks. For the last 12 hours,
they were on the same block height. Now in the last hour they are now different. Was one difference, then 5 difference, both are the latest version. Now both are back
on same block height. Will keep both open and monitor wallets, let you know of any changes.

Peace!
Dennis

What's the right chain? The one from http://hyp.cryptocoinexplorer.com/ or the longer one?  My wallet seems to always want to sync me to the longer one with the 1.1 version.

AFAIK it's the one from hyp.cryptocoinexplorer.com with the longer chain being the bad fork.

Right now my wallet it also trying to sync with the longer chain and is indicating that it is 232 blocks behind.  I have 62 active connections with the network. I have had no trouble staking and no orphans.

This is correct. As more clients and weight leave the incorrect chain to the new fork, the old chain will die off and the client will stop showing out of sync.

Block Chain Bootstrap
Through block 235,000 - https://www.dropbox.com/s/d1zva60jizzoe3y/bootstrap.zip
Usage: extract bootstrap.dat into data directory (for Windows go to "run" and type in %appdata% and find HyperStake folder), remove blkindex.dat and blk0001.dat if they exist already and use the following from command line to start the bootstrap: HyperStake-qt.exe -loadblock=bootstrap.dat
Bootstrapping may take an hour or two depending on the machine, please be patient, the bootstrap happens from the splashscreen, and clicking on it while bootstrapping may cause it to quit.

Use:  getblockhash 235999

no space between getblock & hash

you also have to type that in. don't copy and paste from the forum post. Else you'll get the "Error: value is type int, expected bool" message.

Hello I sent HYP 1200  to the address of Poloniex offered me Hyperstake and has not reached me, the transaction is confirmed 1 hour, knows what is the problem? thx

Best to ask Poloniex in the troll box.  Transactions are working there but when asked they said,
"I am noticing the blocks are coming through a little slower now on HYP. Not much but, a little."

thanks for the quick answer Wink let the problem is poloniex, thought it could be HyperStack, I stay calmer, greetings

I've been having issues with the wallet ever since upgrading to v1.0.7.3. When I use coin control and combine blocks to send to my address, the coins get tied up in an unconfirmed status until I end up using the check wallet function, then repair wallet. Never had these issues with v1.0.7.2

At this time you must update to v1.1.0 if you want to be on the correct fork!

I am. Just addressing issues i've had so Presstab is aware and can look into if needed. No worries.

Excellent! Carry on Smiley

And wow that is an incredible performance improvement, watched it before i upgraded about 20-25% of my cpu, now almost 0, see it bump a bit every now and then.

It's the other way around for me.  I barely saw any CPU usage before, very little memory usage, and now it's constantly at 25% and using about 226k memory (double)

I think this is due to the other chain: you're constantly trying to "catch up" to that other chain, receiving blocks  but rejecting them as their timestamps are incorrect from the point of view of v1.1. So there is CPU use in verifying these blocks. When that other chain eventually dies off, you should see a decrease in CPU usage due to this, as you only get a new block once per 90 seconds on average.

I'll work on alert when I can. Good idea.

Also about falling behind. There is an alternate illegimate chain that has a higher block count and the node is being picked up by you. Just check that you have same block height as hyp.cryptocoinexplorer.com and you are good.

Concerning RPC error. Make sure getblockhash in one word.
