A heads up to all of the block explorer hawks... I will be transferring my coins to a new wallet address the next few weeks as stakes come in. I think it is a good idea to do this every so often to increase security

One thing you might want to add to the home page or wiki are detailed instructions on adding the boostrap when downloading the wallet. I couldn't really figure out how to add it and simply downloading and adding that would have been much faster than syncing the wallet as it got stuck several times

i just used the bootstrap.dat as mentioned in the OP
my prior experience makes me believe that the daemon will not be reachable until it's finished loading ?
if this is correct,
the first time i tried connecting to it, the daemon reported block 95k not the 140k mentioned in teh OP
i could be completely wrong about how the daemon interacts with the bootstrap though, and it could still be loading from it.
Its not all that unusual for something to go wrong during the bootstrap and the client to ditch it.
Also if you add "&" to the end of your command, it doesnt lock up your terminal.
So to start Hyp on daemon "./hyperstaked &"
well it gave it a good boost at least. up to about 140k now
i use the &.

You see the same effect, though faster, if you have had your client turned off for a while. It takes a bit of time to catch up

Diff has been erratic, with it reaching 6 but is now at 3.4, and I believe earlier sub 2 difficulty.

loving the new stats page, the irc channel is becoming more and more popular over time.. contrary to what happens in most other channels.
diff hit over 6 at one point today, that's a pretty damn secure network lol
