The bottom will form in the point where the majority of stakers will decide that it is more advantageous not to dump right now but compound for future. Even if there will exist few whales who dump regularly, when the diff rises, they will stake and dump less and less.
As to black PR, we need some retaliatory actions.

Don't panic, guys, instead think about how to interest new investors, even not from crypto world, or how to create a stabilizing fund. We are still in TOP 5 by volume. All loses from the price drop will be compensated by staking.
This dude is right. Also, before everyone says "Oh, well it's easy for you, you're in all profit," I can say that definitely isn't the case. I still have BTC invested in HYP to recover and, overall, my total portfolio is down in BTC and fiat levels in all positions.
For those who bought in higher, the staking can help as long as volume remains relatively modest, not even considering an increase in price. Say you bought in at 10k sat, and it's now worth 2k sat. That's an 80% paper loss. Okay, so 1 BTC in, now only 0.2 BTC. Less than 4 months (faster if there is compounding, by a lot), and you can be back to 1 BTC. No other high PoS coin has the stake rate and/or volume and/or interest HYP has. If this was any other coin, an 80% loss would make mean the "dev" was onto a new P+D coin. Not the case here
Looking at CMC, I see MonaCoin, NovaCoin, ReddCoin, and Pandacoin above us. There's no reason we can't find ourselves higher with the activity we have going on.

The 750% is forever unless there is a hard fork. If the difficulty rises to a certain point, people may have to wait months to stake, and with the max coin cap, the effective stake % rate could potentially fall.
this...750% is the max, as more blocks are participating, diff will rise, and 750% reduces down. I staked other day think for like 16% or so.
Presstab, how do I see what the interest rate is currently in wallet, I can see the diff is 1.6 at the moment.
750% never changes. The only thing that can lower your percent when you hit the max stake amount of 1k HYP, everything after that is lost.

I like HyperShield as well and consider it high priority, much more then Hyperbank or tip bots.
Being able to set up buy or sell walls in order to keep price stable as much as possible and in the process protect your users and hopefully make life harder for pump and dumpers.
But when I had a chat with Press he did not seem to like that idea...

The idea of the HyperShield.
It can be combined with the Hyperpool.
With BTC you buy a share in a HyperPool and the HYP is then reserved for you for the actual marked price.
The BTC go to exchange and an order is made but maybe not filled yet.
The BTC share in de HyperPool pays each 9 days the stake share.
When the exchange rate is going down the order can be filled and you get your HYP cheap.
It can be combined with the Hyperpool.

What we desperately need is a multipool, I would definitely buy a small ASIC or run my GPUs to get some HYP. This allows just another way to get into HYP while also creating volume and liquidity in the exchanges. This can be done through just asking multipools to get HYP as a payout option or the community to make one. To a lesser extent we could do something like Blackcoins black shield (whatever it's called) where buy walls are put up to help control at least a little bit of the volatility...
Desperately is strong word. But yes, this is interesting and should be part of the HyperShield initiative. I proposed it months ago and waxo and me talked about it one week ago again - and we will probably consider how to do during "HYPcon Paris", in at the end of November. By the way, any one around Paris by this time is welcomed to joinI love the POW Multipool paying HYP alot! Blackcoin does it pretty good and Teslacoin multipool does its job too as Teslacoin is very stable in price!

I'm working on one funny feature for HyperStake now, it is called HyperDeck (it will be our virtual loft with a mood board and announcement board, 3D spaceship deck), and after that I'll try to set up a multipool.
