Im glad this coin is still hanging on, however I would love to here some news from devs about the future of the project as well as what is being done to try to get the coin listed on more and larger exchanges.

Also absolutely considering buying some more for staking, as I cannot see the price going any lower than it is now.

Definitely. I've been making a market in HYP for a few years now. If anyone want to sell or buy go ahead do so on Cryptopia.

hey @presstab, any news about bittrex?

I think that being listed in another good exchange is very important, because if for any reason criptopya decided to delist HYP it would be a very very serious issue for the coin!

Tried to catch Richie from bittrex on irc, haven't been able to get in contact yet. We will keep pursuing that route.

For now I think Cryptopia does a fine job. The HYP volume there isn't much different than the daily average was on Poloniex.

I will look into the code and see if I can figure out some optimizations that will reduce the resource consumption for those with many transactions.

Thanks bro.

I would encourage everyone to keep trading @ Cryptopia. https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange?market=hyp_btc

Everyone that trades HYP need to pitch in  and tweet HYP @bittrex every few days. As always, I'll be making a market in the HYP market.

All the current HYP volume is at Cryptopia.  If anyone day trades, I suggest you do it there: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange?market=hyp_btc

So you are saying it is a good coin to buy. I saw the market (thanks for the link) and it looks good so long as you keep it to small amount and don't over sell, if you buying you can go mad. Though if you buy then you will stake and want to sell more then you had bought which means less buyers in the long run. Let us see how it goes.

Managing the markets is important to keep it alive and healthy. It's much like a traffic controller, you gotta keep the traffic moving. Not too much of one or the other. Only what the current market will support. Been doing it for years.

Indeed, Diving into a shallow pool with too much btc can drown yourself and  the market if someone's not aware but with the right amount and the right strategy lower volume/price coins can be very profitable in the long run.

at least the way the pos return is set up you won't actually be losing earned annual% $ your wallets would have been earning like if it was an annual % return setup if you start a new wallet. you'll just miss out on time while your wallet builds coinage again

damn thats a bunch of HYP for sale at 10-11 sat lol I might have to try to make a lil dent in that later

I am running hyperstaked on Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS server, without GUI.
Even for pure POW wallets, I have noticed such behaviour when a lot of transactions have been received. Happened often during solo mining for coins with very low diff.

Yeah this is pretty much the case. If you have thousands and thousands of records then it will cause a bit of lag. I don't have any good way to prevent this that I can think of.

Can not reset the records?

You can consolidate unspent outputs by sending funds back to your own address, but this will destroy coin age (weight of the consolidated unspent output will start from zero). PoS splits an unspent output into two, so over time your balance gets split into smaller and smaller chunks. An unspent output of 1 x 10000 HYP becomes 2 x 5000 HYP, which then becomes 4 x 2500 HYP etc (note I have excluded staking rewards here)

If the wallet is super bloated then you may need to send all your funds to a new wallet.

lol I love how a 1 sat difference in price at 10 sat is = to a 10% spread... which means more profit when trades are made than a 1 sat difference at the 50 sats we were trading it a few weeks back.

The more I use cryptopia the more I like it lol only thing it's missing is volume

Yeah cryptopia ain't bad.
I thought was a joke exchange but starting to use it I changed my mind!
Hope to see bigger volumes and higher price.
