I am running hyperstaked on Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS server, without GUI.
Even for pure POW wallets, I have noticed such behaviour when a lot of transactions have been received. Happened often during solo mining for coins with very low diff.

The HYP wallet needs to be further optimised. It becomes unresponsive when you have a large amount of coins and blocks.
The problem occurs not on HYP wallet only. The HYP wallet needs to be further optimised. It becomes unresponsive when you have a large amount of coins and blocks.
I have noticed this issue in several other wallets too.
As workaround, you can use more addresses. I remember, that the problem starts at around 4000 transactions on a single address. Counting transactions which are used for mining currently only.

We have already been listed on Bittrex. Nobody traded it there. We got kicked off for no volume.
Nobody traded there because most of the volume was @ Cryptsy. I was the market maker on Cryptsy. That's no longer the case since cryptsy folded. Then I was a market maker on Polo. Now I'm a market maker on Cryptopia. When Bittrex list HYP I'll be a market maker there as well.
I will inquire and see if there is anything we can do.
I'm making sure there is constant reminder to Bittrex. Publicly and internally.

the price is getting closer and closer to 0 I could not predict that a delist could lead to such a result. The exchanges have too much power in their hands

I don't think that if the coin was at bittrex already the price would be different, just my opinion.
The devs are quite silent this is true, even if it's not necessary to be a Dev to start a bittrex listing crowdfunding.....

volume is the only reason I followed the price down lol it just feels wrong trading it that cheap. I wish I had a few BTC to put at 10 sat to try to keep it above it. but then again I probably would have already used it to get it listed at trex.
as I mentioned before I just started trading HYP so I'm still waiting to earn my first stake and have a whole bunch of blocks yet to mature, so it should pick up a nice rhythm once it starts... but it is 1000 HYP max reward is it not? So why the heck do fudders try to compare it to crazy high staking % coins and their insane inflation... infact every year that goes by 1000 coins per block will equal a smaller % of the total money supply, where as a coin that gives 20% will give 20% not matter how large it's money supply gets so the number of coins added to their money supply each year grows as well. But with HYP the amount added to it's money supply will remain very close to the same.

Today I tested cryptopia with 0.02 BTC I boug some HYP and I helped to rise the HYP volumes a bit there!
I have to be honest at the beginning I tought cryptopia wasn't good at all, but it ain't so bad!
Be careful it is just 2 years around, don't keep there big amounts, but it's ok to trade there.
Now it is the main HYP exchange!!

I know the two guys running Cryptopia. They are good to go. For the number of coins they have on there they are doing a damn good job, but the volume is still pretty low compared to Polo or Bittrex.
It's been around for ages and I've never heard any horror stories about them, maybe it's about time they got a little more respect.
I've been using them a lil for HYP since polo's announcement. The more I use it the more I like it, the "orders" tab to the left is super handy to keep track of diff coins I'm trying to trade.
lol not too mention if the people who were trading HYP on polo traded it at the same rate on Cryptopia we'd always be on the front page...probably at the top most of the time

HYP/XMR has disappeared from Poloniex now.
When I last checked about 12 hours ago the effective BTC buy price (BTC -> XMR -> HYP) was 13 satoshis.
