I am so happy to know about this forum and I am so pleased to be here, I registered to learn, later I will contribute. Few days ago I googled about how to earn bitcoin and I read about this forum from three online sites. I have tried faucets and pay to click but they are not good for earning at all. I now decided to join bitcointalk, I have not posted yet but I have learnt few things and I now know that this forum is also very useful for information. Anyone on this forum that will be scammed or handle bitcoin wrongly will be a fool forever as all information needed to be a successful bitcoin user is already here and I have seen few.

I have read the rules and regulations and I am pleased with it, it defined me how this forum will have good qualities and makes me to respect all members. I will keep to the rules and regulations as the punishment for spamming and plagiarizing is ban.

Questions
I have known little about the forum but there are still some questions that bothers me.

First, my merit is zero while I see some members having more than 100 merits or more. How can I earn merits?

Second, I also noticed some members are well ranked, how can I be a ranked member?

Third, can you please tell me other things that can help me?

Thank you so much.

Few weeks ago, I became a member of this forum and I asked similar question.
I feel you'll learn more by going through the thread. Here is the link below:

First of all, welcome on board buddy!

Merit is something that you earn by posting quality content; other users must send it to you. Check this thread to see the requirements on activity and merit. You need to have enough of both to rank up.

If you don't want to wait, you can Buy a Copper membership, and that will lift some of the restriction to the account. (posting images, PM limits....)

Third, can you please tell me other things that can help me?

Interact with users in threads that interest you, ask questions, learn. People are usually friendly if you ask things the right way, and there's a lot you can learn

Thank you so much, I think I understand the ranking, activities and merit required now. About joining for money, I understand the reason you said that 'here is not for making money', you meant that it will take time before I can earn and I will have to work first before anything good like earning can surface, I really understand, thank you for the truth.
just earn merits and ranking up will be easy for you. And about that joining for money , your talking about bounty campaigns you can already join on social media bounties cause its open for all members.

I hope you are having a good time and still learning more in this forum. Things would seem to be quite hard at first but as long as you engage yourself in this forum through different topics, you would be more familiar each in every day. Just keep in mind the Do's and dont's, and you would do well without getting into trouble.

So to address your concerns furthermore,

Questions
I have known little about the forum but there are still some questions that bothers me.

First, my merit is zero while I see some members having more than 100 merits or more. How can I earn merits?

Those members probably have earned merits already from interacting to this forum by creating topics, and sharing opinions on different threads in this forum. You would earn merit if other users will give it to you. They nay give you merit if they find your topic or post interesting, informative or is making sense. There are also DTs which are giving often as well as other users. So just be patient.

Questions

Second, I also noticed some members are well ranked, how can I be a ranked member?

Ranking up depends on your earned merit and nunber of activities. Each Rank is determined by a specific number of activity and merit. So technically, in order to move up, you should meet the required number of merit score and activity.

This is the guide on the number of merits and activity to be met on each of the ranks a user could be.

Questions

Third, can you please tell me other things that can help me?

Aside from the things that other users have mentioned already, I would suggest reading about bounty projects, trading, and investments because that is what crypto is all about especially at this moment wherein it is not yet being mainly used as a digital currency. I mean, it is being used in transactions but more people found it more useful in order to generate profit.

1. You can earn merit by
a. Starting a good topic
b. a good comment in the other topic
c. by helping other forum members
d. expose the scammer

I think that's best left to the experienced, assuming you're referring to those on this forum.

First, my merit is zero while I see some members having more than 100 merits or more. How can I earn merits?

First of all, you have to learn more about merit system. You can learn more here

Merit & new rank requirements

Now you can learn about, How to earn a merit?
1. TMAN'S guide to getting merit.
2. Ways of earning merit.---Post by Gladyr.
3. Ways of earning merit.---Post by Rengga Jati

And last of all you can apply for a merit in the below thread
1. 💥 [Merit Giveaway] - Post useful threads and earn merit 💥
2. Sendable merit give away contest (Full Member and below ranks)

Second, I also noticed some members are well ranked, how can I be a ranked member?

Visit this thread to enrich your knowledge

1. Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?)

You claim to have read things... how did you not read the sticky posts at the top of the "Beginners & Help" forum? Huh

Specifically, this one: Newbies - Read before posting.

It contains the answers to all three of your questions.

Thank you too so much, I am still learning about the forum which will not take me more than two days
I can tell you this, you will not learn everything there is to know about this forum in 2 days. I've been here nearly 4 years... and I'm still learning.

after this time, I will come up with topics and posts that will be useful. But I think topics will be more helpful as it can be easily seen than posts.
Please don't go creating topics just because you think you're going to get merit out of it... and make sure to search the forum for an existing topic before you do. Every week we get newbies joining the forum, claiming they're here to "help"... and we get another round of "how to earn merit?", "how to rank up?", "how to have signature?", "how to have avatar?", "what is best wallet?" threads... Roll Eyes

Create threads about unique and interesting topics and you'll be fine... recycling the same stuff that has been thrashed to death 1000 times is just going to end up with you being put on ignore lists. Personally, I would suggest you find topics that interest you and/or that you have knowledge in... and read and contribute in those first before creating any topics.

Welcome and Good luck!

- [General] How to earn Bitcoins

Or you can sell some kinds of stuff on the Digital/Goods section.
Or you can sell your skills and service on the services section

There are many ways to earn but you will need to use the search box above or use the advanced search to find those guides on how to earn bitcoins.

Well, I've been around for almost 4 years (with its off-times, lol) and I must tell you, it does indeed take more than a couple of days to learn about the forum. Another (helpful) advice if you are going to start creating threads is to question whether the thread is neccessary.

Let me explain myself here: There are some topics that are rather useful, but have been over-exploited; you get thousand of threads about the same topic. That is cocunter-productive, and mods will lock your thread or delete it. Always search if that "new" thing you are going to post is in fact "not new". Another thing related to that: don't necrobump unless it's 100% neccessary. I've seen users reply to posts from 2014 (6 years), with information that altough being "relevant" is completely unnecessary.

For example, everything merit related you've asked can be found either at the guides I linked or here, and many many more threads

I'm sure more users will tell you other things to take into account

You are wrong even with information from here you are not assured the fullest safety. You can get scammed by big exchanges, on social media and many places that would have seem the wisest of choice. that doesn't make you a fool just makes you more cautious.

Your number one and two questions has gotten good answers.
To add to the number 3. If you only here because you googled how to earn online then you might get frustrated here is not earnBitcoin but Bitcointalk. Continue with reading and learning time would come when it bears fruit
