If I'm to advice you about your action, I'll have said is early to loose hope in cryptocurrency pump.
The market is going to come back to its normal self in a matter of time and hopefully within Q1 of 2019.

I think it is not the best decision. The token prices are so low at the moment and even if you want to sell them, just wait till they will raise a little bit. You won't get any benefits from selling your tokens for peanuts.

You are doing the right thing as par that's what you wish to do and why you complaining? Is either you lost or gain in crypto so you made the right choice already, I believe you sold them for a purpose and not dumping them if you are not in need I bet you won't.

Don't panic.I, too, not in better situation and the cost of my coins leaves much to be desired-but I not sell their coin.I will be patient and expect growth in principle. The fall can not last forever, especially since more and more analysts are coming to the fact that the bearish cycle will soon end and the growth of cryptocurrencies will begin .I really want to believe it.

I think you did a right decision because altcoins can continue decreasing, the market has changed since 2017, a long down trend and it is still continuing.
Sell altcoins now and buy the dip when it gets lower, i believe altcoins price will decrease lower than now.

Well I have no more patience in holding it so I decided to dump all the altcoins listed in an exchange in a low price. I have been accepting already that I loss already in investing those altcoins. Because we are now in the peak season of the year 2018 and cryptocurrency market seem nothing to have gone good and I have also some needs to meet for the holidays so I sold all the altcoins. I will just check later on if cryptocurrency will going to be back at its normal market.
I think you made a wrong decision. Currently our market is still volatile and we can still make money by trading altcoin. If you leave the market for a long time, you won't know how many good opportunities you missed.

I also experienced the same thing, there was no choice but to sell altcoins at cheap prices, but I didn't sell all the altcoins that I had, I still kept potential altcoins and hoped the market would recover soon, in this condition many people gave up and chose to sell altcoins they have
I still hold all the altcoins in my wallet. I have another job besides investing in altcoin. So, when there are sudden needs, I still have income from other sectors. My advice, we should look for additional income from other sectors, so we do not sell some of the altcoins we have in an emergency.

Most people easily panic when altcoins prices are down, and they are not patient to wait, and when we sell altcoins we also help dumping, patience is very important.
This could the common reason but other had to provide money for their family like in those bounty hunters that usually dump their rewards after getting it and listed in an exchange. As we all know that not all people are blessed to have a good work, achieve a good education so probably it is hard also to look for a good job. This is why many of the coin or token dumpers are bounty hunters.
This is the calculation that who has the money he specifically delays the crisis for a year, and in the end you have no choice but to sell for the amount that you offer that would like to stay afloat. This should be thought of in advance, it's not just that there was a phrase invest as much as you can afford to lose, in this phrase a great hidden meaning, invested money and forgot that you have them there.

You can still get profit from hodl, it only require you to be very patient. A lot people complain about the low market prices of several tokens, the crypto market just like other market (stock) have it ups and downs, still looking to be stable. I understand not all coin have potential, you can do away with those type of coins and focus on the coin with great potential rather than selling everything off.

until now I still hold my altcoin, and only sell a few, and even then by sorting which altcoins are not potential. It's a shame if you sell altcoins that have potential at low prices, at least you still have hope this year even next year, but the decision is in your own hands, and I hope you will return this year with great profits.
I agree, if a coin is officially not dead, then hope for at least a minimum of growth is maintained, and therefore to minimize losses is quite real, and if you're lucky, you can even return what is invested

This should be an example not to hodl in a long term when it comes to altcoins cause most altcoins in the market are dependent in bitcoin price especially in the bear trend some of them might not survive 2018 and 2019 is weeding out of excessive tokens that has no value.
I believe holding is still profitable but only to certain coins that has a long term potential, holding altcoins if you will judge now make it not effective but the reason why we are holding is because we are waiting for the right timing for the price to raise again and that would likely happen in the long run.
It's better to short and profit from it then exit rather than loss money in hodling, you need to set a specified stop loss to not loss 100% of your money.
For the past months, shorting the market will result to a profit, but this market will change, maybe not this year but in the long run that will possible.
Shorting the market is just a good strategy, but depends on how good you are to predict and that requires skills and we cannot say let's short after the fact that the event has happen, we should predict as we are talking of futures here.

Most times, it is  better to allow the weak hands to dump what they have.
The mistake some people also make is that, when a coin pumps, they refuse to sell and wait for it to pump more. This is where greed sets in and then an eventual lost of opportunity.
Later on, even when the price is no more encouraging, they will now be thinking of selling just to get anything.

We are in a bear market because of Bitcoin. When Bitcoin loses value other altcoins are also being dumped and it's not the fault of any particular altcoin. Many of them aren't weak and are pretty innovative but they are being sold out of stupid fear and panic. We are already at more than 85% loss in Bitcoin and even more with some altcoins. People who are selling now must be crazy. If I had a shitcoin that I held for so long I still wouldn't sell it now because with every leg down the probability of recovery is higher.
This is just a temporary situations for all of us, and I guess bearish trend can be in longer timeline. Even though it seems to be much driven by massive fluctuations, it doesn't mean we lose hope to that. Grab this opportunity while market has very cheap value, because eventually this will provide us future wealth that never been expected.

I think everyone individually should decide what is best for them. We can’t say what is right or wrong cuz everyone has their on needs in their life. I think many people dumped their coins. I can understand the reasons eventhough i am still holding most of my coin.

If you feel the need for this, it is better to sell. But you must understand that when the market recovers you may regret your choice.

Not everyone has good emotional management, so panic overwhelms his head. yes, trading is not only a matter of good analysis but patience and mastering emotions. 80% of the current losses are quite frustrating and I chose to stay and believe that the market will return.
