My recommendations are Quark, Megacoin, Litecoin or Feathercoin.
nas is the best project, or nem.
Keep 10k in BTC and spend 5k BTC on building a few scrypt miners and mine what coins you think have a future.
I would not invest 15k in BTC in Alt currency while trying to get a higher return of BTC. If you want to play the Alt market I would advise only investing 1k in a heavily self research endeavor.

My apartment is too small to accommodate miners, when i am richer then i plan to move to a big house for my mining dreams. For now i need to multiple my holdings with altcoin investments
get some black coin, dark coin and the rest try to trade with hyped coins
