You can keep half and sell half to buy some potential altcoin like Ark, Xrp, Pay, TKn, ....
Eth is stable and will not help you increase your account much, keeping fit long term!

if I have 250 ETH, I will buy new coins listed in the exchangers. because it is more profitable than participating in ICO
It still kinda blows my mind that people think selling etherium or bitcoin makes sense this early in on their projects. Unless there is another project you have more faith in crypto-wise I would never recommend selling unless you have urgent need of a quick influx of cash. These are the future, and with so much room for growth major competition shouldn't be a thing yet. I mean there are really only 200ish viable coins right now, and many have very specific use cases. BTC, ETH, LTC, XMR, and maybe XRP all are solid for sure bets. No crazy overnight growth like some smaller altcoins, but their value will always go up when viewed from a longer than month to month view.
Everything will be going up over the next few years, even shit coins. But yes, Ethereum is the best, its equal to Bitcoin, and will always be the 2nd best coin.
Bitcoin = Gold
Ethereum = Oil
Oil has a use, even if there is a better coin than ETH that works better than ETH smart contracts it still will be very hard to beat ETH. ETH was first.
You would have to be an idiot to sell anything at this moment in time. Crypto is exploding!

If I were you I might want to sell half of ETH holdings and convert them into bitcoin. the rest of half I will keep. But I will not sell any of them for fiat, you will miss a lot of great opportunities.
if i got 250 ether i hold till $500 then change half to fiat and use other half for icos.

I also think it's better to diversify a bit. If you have the time to do thorough research on ICO, you can make some good money there. If I have 250 ETH - I will sell 20 %, hold 50 % and invest in new ICO 30 %.
You can invest your eth to ICO. Here is a list of hot ones: wanchain, ICON, Aion, Polkadot, rchain, cosmos, Doc.ai, AE, Raiden. But be careful and do not lose your head!
I think most people here will suggest that you hold instead of selling, why not consider investing in some ICO's that show signs of a unique and strong project because its such projects investors need to get good retains in a short period as compared to hodling which takes years for you to get a good profit.

This is a way of diversifying which is really great since 250 eth is really a big amount and you can definitely use some portion of it on investing into promising ICO and you should really be careful on which one you would tend to invest on because not all ICO could possibly give you profits later on but well any investments do have the risk because if you wont risk you wont earn something.Some would be on HODL and some would be exchange for bitcoin. Having lots of options would be always a wise thing to do. Just sell for now immediately the ETH that high amount. Because China has now banned the ICO and this will be a direct effect on the ETH because most of the ICOs uses Ethereum blockchain. Then after other Altcoin also be effected like Waves, Bitshare etc.

Just hold it. I think after the fork eth will be mooning and will finally break out from the btc... I believe in ethereum! go go vitalik
If you have that amount of ETH and you don't need to withdraw your coins then I would suggest for you to hold your Ethereum. Go for long term instead of short term investment because we'll never know by the end of this year Ethereum will skyrockets its price by then or even by next year.
I agree with you, if he's holding this much ethereum on his wallet, he probably doesn't need this money. So it's better to hold it as long term and ether can go up to $1.000 in the future.
It's depend on your setuation bro, if you need money its up to you if you want to sell it. But i suggest you much better if you can hold it until this 2017 end. And i'm sure the value of ETH has a bright future for the next year.

For me, try to hold some and sell some so you can have profit from different ways. Also, you can assure that you will earn money by doing that.
Wow.. with that money i would definitely dump them, i could not resist to have the money physically and use it for doing real investments. But yes, if you havent dumped them yet, try to hold them until they reach $400 each one, so you could sell them at $100k, that is a pretty round number, and it is going to give you more manage on your money.
