Many alts are now introduce in the market some of them will surely give a higher return the best thing you can do is make some sort of researches and better ask those who are old traders or expert one in trading they are many of them here, make also some sort of back reading I'm sure it will help you decide whether to choose an alt. One thing I can assure you crypto currencies is really a good thing to invest if you just find time to study their market.
Right now it's good to invest into any of the ICO at the early days of its presale. Later majority of the assets grow high based on the project value, developer team as well the funding. When this becomes a possible thing, automatically the growth of the assets will be promising. Better is to invest and make the best out of the same.

The answer is pretty simple. The safest bet for you is to just grab up some bitcoin (it's dipping nice and low right now so it's perfect to buy into). A'd perhaps we will even see 10000 dollars next year. That's a pretty sweet return on investment.
If everyone knows of better roi return of their investment, i guess everyone would be a millionaire by now. From the posts above me what some said is correct. You do not actually lose unless you sell your SIA. It happens to most of the investors on here. Some make good decision about it and some dont. If you are looking into making short term profits, it is best not to invest into the "Long Term" investment like techs. Tech type coins take some time to develop, market and adoption. It doesnt grow in a night. So stay away from those type of coins. For short term investments, i would say go for the already established projects, where people are more confident with the project and there are tradings going on everyday. So you can trade to make money. See this is where people make mistake, some invest believing they will be making tonnes of money in a month, a week even a day. That doesnt happen to every coin. You must first understand these fundamentals. If you do not have enough patience, avoid investing. Investing means investing.. You are investing in their idea, project, timeline roadmap etc. Trading on the other hand is where you make money daily by buying and selling coins for short term. You see good news, you invest and when the profit is nice you sell and then move on to the other coins. You do this daily, you may make some money. But long term investment is where you make good amount of money where you buy at lets say less than a dollar and in a year or two you see the price is double, tripled even sometimes x 100. So be wise. Know what you are doing, dont do what others are doing if you are not sure about what you want. Last but not least, please do your due diligence and study the coins before investing or even trading.

If you already put in so much money, and you are at less than 15% of your investment, then my advice is to just hold it. If you lose it all, you lose 360 dollars more. If it somehow recovers, which it might, you gain more. Don't play with altcoins anymore with your fresh money. Just use all of it to buy Bitcoin, and invest that in several businesses. Or better still, just hold. That will be your best ROI. Not guaranteed, but very certain to be better than 90% of alts!
You should do your research and checks before you even invest on any coins. The lost you made seems unable to recoup back anytime soon mate. I would suggest you take a look at OMG.
If he can do that well that would be better but it's also good thing to ask here since maybe he can get some good ideas and information regarding on the altcoin's who are best to invest. But I would strongly advice and suggest to him that he should visit the coinmarketcap from time to time so that he can see the top coins which is promising to stake our money on.
Have gone through previous replies and have also been through such problem before, I bought Monaco at $2 each, later on the coin drop to $0.89 then I sold it. Thereafter there was a big pump and one Monaco worth $23. Therefore patience is the key when it comes to trading.

wow it is a big investment in sia and i think you need to waiting more to see the increasing of the sia. maybe you can considering to invest in ethereum, litecoin, monero, zec, because this coins is in top twenty in coinmarketcap and right now, these coins is the best coins ever. but if you decide to invest in that coins, i suggest for you to analyze first, what possibilities for each of the coins so you can know what you need to do before you invest your money.

Actually there is no way of telling which one will give the better roi. I too suffer the same faith as you with sc but i do gain from others like omg, neo, link, kyber etc. So the best advice is to diversify your portfoilo. So you can able to profit even in this volatile market.

Best way to earn quick and with return of investment is investing into new projects that will launch new tokens with reputable ICO name that has something to sell their token has value in the market, detailed whitepaper and it is physically invested in business, all the devs are good and lot of them and lastly the members should exist with pure transparency of their project. Although not all ICO'S are legit some are scams but it's easy to predict if the coin will pump or dump with just researching the ICO itself rather than having predictions if the price of an altcoin will pump or not.
My suggestions for 2018 would be Walton, KNC, BQX and Aion.

It is a rather difficult task to identify a currency that can generate a particular ROI in a specific time frame. Remember that markets are essentially unpredictable and not even the most recognized experts can predict with certainty something like this. There is nothing more to take the risk, because that is the essence of this business.
For 2018, i would recommend projects that have their products coming up soon, like OMG. Or in a currency that should see some growth, like Monero.

Crypto is high risk so the return on investment is potencially fantastic. Never forget however that it also comes with RISK.
I think there is many coins that can perform well but of everything I've scene PoSW, XtraBytes are set up for the biggest gains next year.

Prediction may help you but sometimes it won't be accurate because cryptocurrency market is high voltaile compared to others. So search before investing into any investments.
