if you were to invest in ethereum do it now, because of the upcoming fork on jan 11 to jan 18, there will be 3 forks so on every eth you hold in your personal wallet like "my ether wallet" you get each of those 3 forks first will be ethereum classic vission, Ethereum Nowa Hard Fork, Ethereum Constantinople Hard Fork.
Actually, both are still worth investing, I guess. as we know that Ethereum will hold a hardfork in January and will bring up the total supply. With prices that are still low, you still have the opportunity to buy Ethereum and hold it for the long term.
I keep both coins in my wallet, these are the best coins to invest for a long time. Even a small amount of BTC can bring you a large amount of money in the future)
I personally will go in for bitcoin. I am currently a holder so I like coins that I will hold for a long term and looking at things, the only way to get a trusted coin is through buying these the best cryptocurrency I ever knew in the crypto world. I see a good fate for bitcoin in the coming years and for that matter, I will go for it for investing.

I suggest you should invest in ETH because after ETH hardfork price can grow more and you can also can make more ETH with POS after launch of ETH hardfork, so you should invest in ETH.
Hard question! I would like to invest on BTC,because when it will come back with a big profit. Las two years we have seen the rise and fall of BTC,it was almost average $1.5k. So BTC will better for invest.
I think you should invest in Ethereum, as this has more potential for corporate company's than Bitcoin.
The other day, Vitalik Buterin said that Ethereum is much better than Bitcoin. As for me, both cryptocurrencies are really great. Any person, who holds crypto, must have BTC and ETH in his portfolio.
Invest to bitcoin if you are wanting to choose any of them. You should prioritize bitcoin and just go next with ethereum. Invest mostly with it and if you have some spare money then start investing to altcoins like ethereum. There are times that you can do swing trades where you can sell few amount of bitcoin and transfer it to ethereum if there are some related events like forks. And after the fork, sell for profit and move back to bitcoin with that amount you made or got from the beginning.

because ETH is not currently limited, it is still exploited infinitely, so its price is not stable. If the BTC is gold because it is rare and limited, then ETH is currently silver. And if you want to make a lot of profit, I think ETH has a bigger chance than BTC, ETH can be x5 x7, but BTC is hard to do. Not as in other investments, In crypto investments, diversification is best. Invest more on BTC and ETH. It is better. But select some good alt coins and invest on those to gain a good profit.
