I see that BTC and ETH are two coins that have the highest capitalization in Coinmarketcap.

The market of each coin depends on their own supply and demand.
If the demand of ethereum is going high like what we're seeing today, then it will move positively and can do the same effect with what you have noticed OP. Things do change after time but the law of supply and demand is still followed.

Because both of them are coins that have good potential for investment, I think it would be better if you could invest in both coins, of course this will give you maximum results for the future
I think you need to invest in other coins which has good features for example DeepOnion and as i know code rebase will be finished soon hard working devs and strong cumminty and i think coins like Onion would make you much more profit than big coin like ETH or even BTC try find coins like this and invest there i belive its a right way.
Right, of course investors need something new and other coins are certainly the best solution to get profit, there are hundreds of new coins that are worth buying but some coins that have good potential in the future are: Tezos, NEM, Lisk and so on.

There's a saying that you have to own at least 1 BTC before you get any alt coin.

Bitcoin and ethereum is good and popular coin. I think its safe to invest on both coin and i am believe the price will reach highest again. Holding bitcoin and ethereum for long term is good and better divide our investment in both coin

I guess choose ethereum now, but better to sell it again after the benefit of hardforks. I am pretty sure bitcoin will going to be better than ETH after this hardforks that will going to happen in january.
With the plan for hadrfork this month that could give Ethereum a better shape, I think choosing ethereum is the best decision to make.

if in my opinion both are also good things you can invest in the long run, because I think both of them are also good altcoins that can bring many benefits in the future.

Bitcoin will always remain in #1 in coinmarketcap but if you are worried which of them to invest either eth or btc.
In my case, I invested of eth and not in btc as btc will require a higher amount of investment and your money will not triple easily unlike ethereum.
As you can see also that ethereum is back to #2 in coinmarketcap replacing xrp which is a good signal to buy more eth while waiting for the bull run.
Though it's up to you which of them you really trust and want to invest in.

I agree. Ethereum is what promising coin which you cannot forget to invest with. Though it falls hard, there is always a recovery that we can look forward. Bitcoin us always on the line and first choice for investment and even many says that it is dying, I am positive that it is not and having it will be worth a wait for the good profit.
Many people have an excellent opinion on this matter, some believe that we need to invest not in these coins (btc, eth), but in projects that are derived from the Ethereum. For me bitcoin is the first choice that has good history as well. ETH is good but as compare to buy coin it is not at top. Bitcoin is mother of all other coin so you should invest in bitcoin to have good long lasting profit.
We all know that bitcoin and Ethereum have a big market cap, but it might be better to share 50/50, 50 investments in Bitcoin for long-term investment and 50 investments in Ethereum for medium-term investments. So we only determine when to make the right decision when trading. Stay calm and don't be panic sell. 😄
