It sounds a bit funny. You sold a car to a girlfriend to buy ethereum. I thought you were buying a car for you. Eth is currently being looked at by investors. Ethereum shows some gains over BTC, but the growth in wallet addresses can provide insight into future trends.

The car is not a good asset at all that extremely loses value with time. It would better be Ethereum that has potential that could be traded or speculated since the car will only drain money.
with the advent of Uber and Lyft, the existence of private cars came in handy. in a market like this, it is very difficult to produce Ethereum, but if he becomes an uber or Lyft driver he can collect monthly money to buy Ethereum or other coins... I bet Op would not dare sell his expensive/valuable stuff for any kind of coins or other kinds of investments . He obviously didn't like his friend very much otherwise he wouldn't have gone to this extent. Well I guess he bought the car for her when he made alot money.
Not a good idea to take that kind of risk unless you are willing to lose everything. Besides, you should have invested that in better coins like Bitcoin.

Haha this sounds pretty funny because you might be pretty happy with this decision but your girlfriend definitely would be very sad after hearing this. If he is not into technology then It's heart breaking to know that your loved one sold your car for a digital currency.

appreciation for you guys. most people in crypto make a quick profit. but you choose long-term investment. I personally do not have the guts for long-term investment. because it does not have a large fund. or something that can be sold. This thread was created approximately a year ago and if the OP still holds his ETH stack, any experienced trader will call this as a bad investment. A year ago, in November the ETH price was near the $212 and the current price is lower than the bought price. Btw, the price of the car has to be lower but he can make a better decision rather going all in a single cryptocurrency. The calculated risks don't matter if the investor makes silly mistakes.

its not bad to invest on something that is trusted such as eth . all of use need money for future use , thats why there are banks that we can use to save money. im saying that dont put all your hard earned cash on investments .investment in crypto is just testing our luck and always use "free money" to do.

Atleast it was not his car.
He isn’t so affected buy selling the car because in the first place it’s not his, I bet his girlfriend is super mad at him but who knows maybe he will really recover it if not now then soon.
Altcoins are kinda doing it great and that includes ETH, ETH being considered the second to bitcoin so I guess it's quite a reasonable investment. Just a little advise, it's okay to take big risk but don't do it if you can't afford to lose it because at the end of the day if the price won't go to the direction you wanted then you still have something left for you.
