Don't see it as losing 1k or 2k when you are buying it higher than the lowest you considered.

It's a dynamic price movement and you cannot always predict what is the best moment to buy.

The problem with your thought process is that you are creating your own barrier to entry. If you keep on creating your own "Entry point" then you will never jump into the boat. Last year Bitcoin was more or less $1000 at the beginning of the year and everyone said that it was in a Bubble and at the upped end of the price curve, but they were wrong. It skyrocketed to $19,000 to the end of the year. ^smile^

My advice would be to just jump in and to take the risk. Nobody know what will happen with the price, but I would rather want to be in the boat when it reach those levels again, than standing on the side.

It is your choice. Do not invest more than what you are willing and able to lose. ^smile^

I missed to buy bitcoin when it dipped to $9K. Then I missed it again at $10k thinking it might go down to $9k again. And now, I am waiting for $10k but it seems that it will not go below $11k again. I must be the biggest idiot in crypto world Sad
It is possible that bitcoin will dip again. If your gut tells you to buy bitcoins, then trust it next time. You could have made a lot of profits in the last 2 weeks.

I missed it too. When the price before is at $10k i didn't buy because i think it might go lower, but it hit to $12k then i'm forced to buy before it's too late because i think it will go higher now, then it drops again to $11k now. I regret it so much. I think you should buy at $11k now before you regret it later that you missed it again.

Thinking of Bitcoin as a "train" that you can miss is dangerous and hurting it more than anything else, because if you don't believe it will grow further - you devalue it yourself, accepting the fact it will fall.

If what you see is solid technology then you can't really miss that train - it will go further up (and I'm not talking about price) so it is irrelevant what moment of time you will choose to get into it.

If you really want to invest you should not focus that much on bitcoin's price, actually don't look at the price at all, just take as much as you can afford to invest (don't use loans or life savings) and buy whatever amount it buys, then forget about it and live your life as you did before. Or better - get involved in tech, make it better and be the thing that actually drives this whole thing upwards.

Also if you are aiming to merely speculate on it's price, make a quick buck and be gone - I can't give you any relevant advice. Your best strategy would probably involve time travel, but there are lots of folks here who will be happy to assist in that matter Wink

cheers!

Timing the market is merely impossible even if you are really great at technical analysis specially in the crypto market. This is the reason that you just  need to buy on the  dips because if you are planning to hold the coins long term the little price difference will not matter.

Right now it is not to late because right now Bitcoin is still consolidating, take advantage of the price right now because pretty soon there will be another price rise.

There is no perfect time to enter the market, whether you buy it in $9k or $10k you will still make a profit it the bitcoin price rise again to $19k each. Who would probably know and predict the future, if you think you missed the boat then probably you missed it since last year when bitcoin still below $2k or worse a few years before it. So i suggest you to start now, its better late than never.  Grin Grin

I thought this once. When the price went to 15k and then to 20k. It has since went back to 10k then to 17k and then back to 9k and now 11k. I honestly think 11k is still low. I don’t look at it any different than 10k. Do not think your an idiot. Happily buy at 11k.

There will always be dips to buy. Just buy in at a price you feel comfortable with. If you're bullish on BTC it won't matter in a year if you bought in at $10500 or $11200. Pretty negligible difference
