I also have two or about 3 users who I follow that only post gambling winnings and codes to running games, which people can follow and place their bets on. Their pinned post is usually a big amount that they have won recently or in the past, which I see as something that also contributes to persuading their followers that it's very easy to make it from gambling if those who post can, while they can't, also do that, but that's a very wrong way of thinking and looking at gambling because they will end up spending much money looking for that perfect 1 odd to make sure that they make it through gambling, which might cost them their lifetime.

I had to add the quotation because it's not my statement.

It's so delusional to have this kind of believe but yeah, there are gamblers who are thinking in such way. I stumbled unto the X page of a gambler last night, he happens to be sharing only game prediction on his page and has a lot of followers and usually have a lot of comments on his predictions, so while I was going through the comments of users on one of his prediction, I saw comments like;

"Whether the devil likes it or not, this money must be made through gambling. "

"One sure odd is enough to give me a heavy cash out"

"I must make it through gambling"

"I will never give up. "

" We lose to win more"

Bla bla bla, I can not over emphasize on the delusional comments I saw, I just can not track the guy's page again but if I come across it, I will share it here.

Can you guys believe that there are people (gamblers) thinking these way?

If you see a gambler with such mindset, will you advise the person or just allow the person to learn their lesson?

Have you had this kind of believe before now, probably when you newly started gamby?
Sometimes most of these statements are derived from examples of persons they've seen who have probably cashed out huge from gambling because if you look within and around our neighbourhoods, you will definitely see lots of persons that have gotten a big win one certain time or the other.
However these are comment on social media who most times are just Mere conversations without serious backing, because serious gamblers don't go about making statements like these, because they believe gambling is 50/50.

Those people are addicted obviously, and the worst part is that they are reinforcing their behavior as all of those people are doing the same thing, so they feel safe in the numbers thinking there are many people like them out there, so this makes it even harder for those people to overcome their addiction as they do not even think they have a problem, which may means that they may never recover or that at least when they try to do it, they would have lost most of their money anyway.

You don't expect to see something different from an addicted gambler who has been losing money on gambling on a steady, I remember having the same thoughts when I was almost addicted to gambling but I had to work on myself because in trying to stake higher to win bigger amounts I end up losing even more.

Most gamblers believe in the funny statement " but one day" most of them think they will win big and recover all they have lost but you will see most of them getting older and still haven't had a major win in gambling.

Advising someone who doesn't believe that he is losing money and is willing to stop is bad they will only see as a hindrance to their success and they will always avoid you for speaking out about it.

I think, such thinking does exist because after all, even though gamblers actually lose more often, they still gamble, right? Or maybe, because it is in the comments column of the post about predictions, then maybe the person who commented is their account too who is trying to influence anyone who sees it to gamble according to the predictions they share there. But the point is,  whether or not there is such a mindset, I personally will not question it, because I believe everyone has their own choices, so they will be able to learn from the experiences they have too and we cannot assume that everyone must have the same mindset.

On this certain scenario, I think people should change their views towards gambling because it the first place everybody should be more vigilant in spending their money.
Once there's an error with gambling activities, don't just let it go and take it for granted. Every minute counts, don't just let pass by and always take an alternative ways to deal with your problems.
Always remember, you can't correct a mistake with another mistakes so? bare in mind and be a defensive individual avoiding addiction is a must.

It never ceases to amaze me how strongly these gamblers believe they are next in line to win big and thus churn in much money to bet on one sure odd.
I also believe that what one believes in, almost always shows up for them after much anticipation and effort, so I see no reason why a gambler with a hardcore mindset to win big someday, should be considered delusional.
So much inventions have come from those who were considered delusional at a time in their life, but one reality is that one will come to know the truth after their gambling conviction has been tested and tried and the results will cause either rest, quitting or be a push on.

I think a gambler with strong belief in their odds and betting strategies, stands a better chance of winning big once or twice than an addicted gambler without any belief for their strategies or odds.

Yes, people belive in that way especially those that are addicted to gambling. Those that every moment of their life is on how to play a game, sacrifice from their money and put into gambling and hope to win big one day and eradicate poverty in their life. Many gamblers do think that way and I’m not surprised they do.

Advising people this days is like wasting of time, they’ll still go ahead to do what they like. The best lessons are learnt after failure or been struck with something unexpectedly bad, it’s better they learn it themselves than preaching to them against it.

I can’t think of such for now, but as long as I have total control of my finance. Don’t go against my risk management, I won’t have issues with why I think of gambling now or even in the future.

One takes for granted there are delusional gamblers out there who believe anything in order for them to continue to hold onto the hope of changing their life style because of a punch of good luck. I mean ... I have already seen people being delusional on topics like politics and videogames, those topics in which there is no actually money being put at stake whatsoever, so it is not a surprise to me there is an important percentage of people who see gambling as their exit door to  whatever situation they are going through. It is pretty sad, but it is a reality we must face as a community.
As for myself, I have never been deluded into thinking there is an inevitable win waiting for me at the end of the session, so I can make a lot of money back thanks to my own good luck, I have tried to see gambling and the possible earnings which come from with with a focused mindset and not to count on money I have to gamble to do other things.
One can only hope those delusional people find the help they need, so eventually they recover from addiction and loss chasing.

Many people get frustrated with this lifestyle after a while because they try to make it a source of income or try to become financially stable from it, this isn't possible to achieve and it hasn't been done by anybody... Having the mindset that you must make it through gambling could actually make you lose a lot of money, remember that it's a 50/50 thing, you can either win or lose so instead of trying so hard to look for ways to constantly be in profit from something you already know is a losing game just channel all of that energy into something more productive.

Experience is the best teacher so I think it's best to allow people with such mentality learn from their experience, I've tried to advice a gambler sometime ago, I was very politely while discussing with him but he made me feel my advise is not very relevant and I was blocking his success, what I'm trying to say is that sometimes it's difficult to advise people with such mentality it might even lead to a serious argument when you try to convince them concerning it, therfore the best approach I take when I try to advise people like that and they refuse to listen is allow them make mistake and learn from it cause by then they'll learn the hard way after losing lots of money. I've also come to understand that it's the poor people that mostly have such mindset, people that's been frustrated financially and lost all hope of becoming rich, they're the ones that channel all their energy and little income they earn from petty jobs into gambling, someone that's already wealthy won't make such speech but would rather invest their funds into less riskier and profitable investments other than gambling, they'll only gamble with what they can afford to lose for the fun of it or entertainment.

Those who have the belief that I must make it in gambling are not far from being the people that Davidvictorson mentioned.

-low income earners
- low level of education high school and below
- single people
- rural dwellers
- males
- unemployed
These set of individuals quoted above are prone to adopting the mindset of "I must make it in gambling" because they believe that consistent gambling will lead to riches. However, when the reality sets in that gambling is not a viable path to wealth, they often become frustrated. This frustration can lead to them creating problems for their immediate families, and on top of that, they sell their properties to meet up with their gambling belief as their expectations of making money through gambling will someday materialize as they had hoped. They are not given up yet after the whole money spent on gambling

Someone in the thread said that some gamblers use it as a form of motivation. I hope it's just for motivation and not an excuse to be irresponsible with gambling. If someone without a stable income adopts this mindset, it could lead to addiction. Because they might try every means possible to make it through gambling, chasing a potential windfall.

Gamblers need to understand that they can gamble for fun, but even if they're gambling for profit, they should set a budget and prioritize their mental health. This way, they won't get messed up when they're on a losing streak.

We also need to remember that the chances of hitting the jackpot are extremely low - about 1% out of 100% yearly. Casinos are built to make a profit, and the odds are stacked against players. Instead of chasing the jackpot, it's better to focus on smaller wins and enjoy the game.

Emphasis on having a stable source of income, whether online or offline, and to gamble responsibly. This means not putting all your hopes into gambling and maintaining a balanced mindset.

Some people might cliam that having this mindset shows perseverance. They can claim that most people who won big kept trying until they won big.

Every gambler should know that the game has risks and there is no certainty that you will win big from gambling. Many people have been gambling for years but have never won big, while sone have been fortunate.

I have never had the belief that I must make big money from gambling. I see it as a form of entertainment but I have not lost sight that I can be lucky one day and win a big sum.

Personally, I've watched or seen such comments on Instagram where gamblers take it up as a means of financial independence. However, it's a form of less information on the player's end. Assuming they knew the right information, the players won't end up thinking that way. But, for the fact that the page where they follow show them expensive lifestyles which the influencer tag as the fruitfulness of gambling, the followers will have no option than thinking of gaming as the only road to success.

On the long run, social media is not the best channel for gamers to gain knowledge of gambling. Because of the falseful information that influencers hand out to them. And a lot of them get addicted with the type of wrong ideas they consume.

Yes, I can believe it. And I know that many gamblers have a distorted perception of reality and therefore will always find an excuse for current losses and hope for future wins.

If you see a gambler with such mindset, will you advise the person or just allow the person to learn their lesson?
The casino will teach him a lesson, so I'd better keep quiet. It's pointless to give advice to fanatics, because they remain deaf to outside opinions until they themselves experience the pain and bitterness of the negative consequences of gambling.

Have you had this kind of believe before now, probably when you newly started gamby?
I have never had such beliefs and therefore, I am not susceptible to the "charms" of gambling and casinos. I don't have a gambling addiction.

Most people who wouldn't admit that they are addicted to Gambling always say that "most people give up before winning" having this kind of mentality might be disastrous to anyone. This is one of the reasons why a lot of gamblers choose to chase their losses because they believe that if they constantly try to push their luck they might hit a big win despite the losses they are incurring regularly, before diving deep with this mindset ask yourself, what if you don't end up winning? Then it means you are just throwing all your money away, it's not a risk Worth taking.

Honestly I will allow them learn their lessons, if you see someone who will be willing to take an advise, from their statement you will be able to tell that they will be willing to take advice about that but if they aren't their statement is another good Indicator, a typical example is this now, obviously he may listen but may not put that advice to consideration, may later get too emotional and still chase the big delusional wins and forget you advised him so like I stated earlier I will let them learn the hard way after all not everyone will learn from advise.

You'll not believe it, but there are so many gamblers who think like this, and goodluck to you in trying to convince them otherwise, one of my friend once told me that he just learnt about the Martingale strategy, and that he will never lose if he implements it. Quite a lot of people believe they will become rich through gambling, it always does not turn out well for them.

I know that there are people who have won life changing money through gambling, if you go about thinking it could also be you, you might just mess up your life, lose most of your money and become an addict.

Most people who are addicted to gambling tend to think that they can't give up gambling because one day they will be lucky enough to win so much money that they will recover everything they lost, but unfortunately this thinking leads them to ruin. I have seen people who played the lottery and didn't want to give up even when I told them that they had to stop for a while because they were becoming addicted to gambling, it took them a long time to realize that I was right and they stopped buying lottery tickets.
