Invest in trading than gambling, in trading its look like saving your bitcoin with income if you have best trading strategy while in gambling its not profitable in long run it is base if you are lucky or not but still its not profitable for my opinion
well yes you lost 7 bitcoins and that is really a lot, but like you mentioned, you learn a lot about trading, you know how price could change in future so you can earn profit now

Is it really recommendable to invest in gambling? Well I'm not into gambling that's why I don't have any idea. Since you wanna quit trading, then probably, You can now start playing small bets. And see the difference on how this will work for you. 40btc is a quite huge sum you can do much with it.

Quiting trading will be only the best thing when you are for sure that the value of Bitcoin is going to rise otherwise it will sin to you and that have to change also.
But of course it is really hard to know that from before but that is just the risk that you should take.

Why you quit trading.. trading is the best than gamblingyou can make a profit just to buy and sell it when the price is increase.. you can not lose high amount in your wallet and you can make huge profit..

Yes I need to agree that trading is hundred times better than gambling. I could not find any reason to quit my trading even sometimes my trading goes in negative values but waiting for some more time will make them into profits. So, bitcoin trading is always profitable. Holding your bitcoin will probably yield gains if you hold it long enough. Trading can be difficult especially if you trade for altcoins. I have found that most altcoins don't seem to hold value for very long. I tride trading bitcoin for litecoin a couple of years ago when litecoin seemed like the second best coin, but then it dropped in value and other coins seemed to get hot. I think it's just easier to trade bitcoins for fiat.
Trading is not easy i am also trading its just my hobby using a small amount if how can make a profit even a small amount.. and i am watching for their trading strategy for every altcoin.. sometimes i can make a profit with 0.001-0.005 i am lucky that even a small amount i can make it.. with in few hours..

it is a choice. when I decided to stop playing trading then I have to know the risks would get. trading is a job. and we can replace our jobs at any time.

You must only quit trading when you are to be able to make some profit with Bitcoin when you can sell it and that is not the case now because the value is not eve that high.
So better you can trade now and wait for later when the value is higher and that is perfect.

Take enough few losses, you`ll throw your hands up and say screw it.

i think that you quited best way to earn more bitcoins with the ones that you hve, as gambling or holding bitcoins you had is not that good way to earn money as they are either risky or slow
but now if you still have some bitcoins left you can try to keep them in your wallet and wait for halving in 2 months, as then you should get easy profit, if price will rise of course
I believe jumping on ICOs of new promising Coins is the unique way to earn something...
