When I was just here, I got 1 merit, it made me excited. I started the forum from a new member with 0 merit. When I can move up 1 rank above it then it is an extraordinary achievement. There is a sense of pride when I can move up the rankings. Because there are some members that I see that it is very difficult to get merit. So for the writer of the feeling you have experienced, there is still a great opportunity to grow and be useful for the forum. After that you will get benefits and bonuses from the forum.

Sincerely speaking, the excitement of getting merits here especially when coming up is on another level. Getting merit is not as easy to some people as it is to some. People that earn merit regularly might see it as nothing special but there's a little beginning for everyone and at this stage we see it as a great achievement. There are people who still find it hard to earn a single merit despite being here for a long period of time. It's actually something to be excited about and use it as a motivation to do harder and achieve more.

Lol. The OP has ranked up to member. I don't want to spoil the party but when I saw the title I thought it would be at a higher rank, like Hero.

In any case, this seems to motivate you and I just recommend that you continue to make good use of the forum, as we have too many cases of people who take the fast (and dishonest) route and end up badly.
I guess even small promotions become big for beginners, and I totally understand that since I was also like OP way back then. It could be nothing for us, but for beginners, those are already big achievements. Just keep doing your best OP and never gets tired of learning new ideas and insights because that will eventually make you a quality poster afterwards.

Furthermore, never pressure yourself on ranking up or leveling up your position. That will come in time. Instead, learn to enjoy every minute you stay in the forum, the more you appreciate the forum, the bigger impact it will create in your life.

There is a thread on reputation where you can celebrate and announce all your achievement on the forum, https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/announce-your-rank-up-merit-or-any-achievements-that-makes-you-feel-great-5391471 you can always post it there on the provided link, congratulation for this is the beginning of a new challenge for full member rank and more.

You don't need to blame OP for what he did because I'd say he's new and mistakes happens, with time I don't think OP will make such errors on posting where he's not suppose to. The provided link is ok but mind you that if OP post in that already made thread the attention or traffic his thread have now won't be as we are seeing it, he needs to be noticed too, everybody does, all we need do is congratulate him and also do what you did by pointing him to the right direction.
OP, this is just the beginning so I'd say you shouldn't stop what you're doing, keep it up and you'd be surprised on how fast your rank will improve to the next one, congratulations.

Congratulations on your new rank, I really feel so happy for you on your new achievement and I'm am tapping from your grace too. I also hope to reach a new rank sooner.
Tapping from his grace might not be enough, but you can just be you and do what you do best, learn, and share value with the forum. I believe you can also rank up in no time and also celebrate like the Op have done, even though you have to celebrate JNR member rank first before the member rank. A one-step up is a step closer to what you are chasing to achieve.

Not bad, for a span of 2 months you get ranked up to member rank. As some users take more months before achieving it. Congrats.
Next goal is full member which will at least 2 months for the activity to achieve it, only if you acquire merit as fast as your activity too.

I want to thank all reputed and established members of this forum for helping me achieve this milestone. I want to give special thanks to all those who thought that my posts were worthy of receiving merits, namely:
Congratulations on your new rank! The rank might still be kind of low, but you have really worked hard to achieve it. There are more ranks for you to reach, so make sure you keep on making a positive impact on the forum, and I am sure soon you are going to be back to announce that you have just reached a new rank again(but you shouldn’t create a thread for it, there is already a thread which you can announce your achievement). Just continue with your hard work, and you are going to receive merits that will take you to a new rank, but make sure you are not in a rush to rank up so that you won’t end up doing things that you are not supposed to do, just have the mindset that you want to learn, and you want to impact on forum members also.

Congratulations on your new rank. I remember you from your previous topic. You have had quite the experience on the forum. Your Bitcoin knowledge will grow faster as you spend more time on Bitcoin boards, I hope to see you at Full member rank soon. And that time I believe you will make your celebrate your rank in the thread suggested to you. It’s been so long since I saw a celebratory thread of new rank on the forum. And that’s for good reason. It doesn’t seem so bad now but I remember when everyone used to create these topics, it was so much that it become a eyesore.

Now that you have tasted a bit of how it looks or feels to rank up, don't take it for granted and forget the normal and expected ways you should behave on the forum, make the forum rules and regulation be your first thing to know and get used to, this will determine your  stay here or not, the environment is already friendly as you can see, but i must remind you of not doing pass your boundaries in other for you the unleashed more better things to acquire from here.

It does feel amazing to rank up on a forum where your performance as a member is judged through merits. I sometimes feel that apart from the decentralization of Bitcoin the forum merits system is decentralized as it is not in the hands of the admin. When you get ranked the best feeling is to be someone known in an anonymous environment which makes you feel proud. I have gone through the same feeling like you have and I think you would make a good active member of this forum if you continue in the same way as you have been when you were just a newbie. Congratulation!

Don't give up and don't force it to achieve it.
I like your advice, especially the way you phrase it. Indeed, with force comes frustration; it is a marathon, not a sprint. Thank you once again from the bottom of my heart for such good advice.

The taste is indeed mixed between happy and challenging to achieve even higher ranking.
Congratulations to you for the achievements you have achieved here. There are several more levels of rank that you will achieve to legendary. Don't give up and don't force it to achieve it. Believe me, all of that will be realized as long as you are willing to do useful things.
In this forum there are many users who are ready to help see your post to be given merit if they think it is appropriate.

Congratulations memehunter, although it shouldn't be your main goal in the forum, it always feels good to rank up, not only here but in life itself. Keep participating the way you do and I wish you a bright future here.

Thank you Dunamisx, I didn't know that thread on reputation and I'm sure that many others didn't know it either, not just the OP.

Dunamisx already spoke my mind.

One thing I would say to you though, no need to get too excited about a member rank. Frankly, it’s been such a long time since I saw anyone celebrate the member rank but, you give me that memory now. If it makes you feel good, congratulations and know that, you’ve got a lot ahead of you. The more you go, the tougher it becomes.
You might want to lock this thread and possibly transfer the content of your OP to the recommended thread by Dunamisx, it would serve you more.

To lock the thread, check the bottom left corner of the thread’s page.
