Actually it happened to me too where I was hesitant to sell or hold my coins. On the one hand I need income but on the other hand I believe that the price will rise again. I chose to keep my coins because if I sold them now I realize it would be a loss. So I choose to hold yes even if it's true if it takes a long time. I believe that patience will definitely pay off so I won't be in a hurry. I am aware that the crypto market is up and down and it can happen at any time so we really have to be prepared for that. Now I don't feel balanced yesterday because I feel I have found the answer, which is to be patient to wait for the results to rise again.

when the price is low you hold BTC and at that moment you need money, one thing that makes sense if you hold your BTC, but if the high price like yesterday reaches 50k $ and you don't sell it when you need one thing that's ridiculous especially if you have earned profit, you should write down what price you buy bitcoin and when you need money so there is no miss communication with what you want
but everything goes back to the original choice, which is the right of each when you will release your BTC

yes , what you said is partly true but if you are hungry to the point of sickness you will have to sell all your BTC because this is just my suggestion you can wait for the price to go up then sell some to spend then wait to buy only cheap. what i tell you if you are an experienced trader or you find a stable job enough to live on and then you just hoard it long term and don't sell any coins you are holding?

If you have other sources of income then its good to hold all your bitcoin and wait for the price to rise up,
That is what holder do, because they invested the funds they can afford to forget.

otherwise, if you don't have then there's no other option for you if you are into an emergency,
Actually we must have funds for emergency and not our coins.

you need to use your bitcoin to buy foods especially if you already have a family,
That is what survival is.

their basic needs are more important than the investment that you take for your bitcoin journey.

Just mind one thing .. Buy if you can handle holding.

It's really a tempting period for Bitcoin investors considering the constant dip we have been experiencing for a while. I was once adviced to sell my coin when I had an issue that needed money urgently but I objected it took me quite a long time to hodl and loosing them now isn't a healthy idea at all.
if you have chance to sell at profit then gather that chance , and also why Keep holding when you are not totally ready for Holding long term.

If I sell off my coin I might not be opportunied to buy back the coin at the exact rate I bought the previous one and had to come to a concrete decision of not selling my coin no matter the consequence. Yes it's going to be a different story if it turns out negative but what if it turns out positive. Vertually everything about life had two faces been the negative outcome or the positive there is hardly any in-between and so for me I rather take the risk and face what ever comes my way in the near future because risk is a necessity as far as investment is involved.
Assume that you are selling at loss then instead of Buying bitcoin again why not try to invest in altcoins ? because if you cant find profit in bitcoin then maybe there is a chance in Altcoins.

If it turns out positive certainly the joy would be all mine and certainly a portion of it would be rubbed on people around and if it turns out the opposite direction then I bear my loss alone. It's really my cross to bear and making this decision was out of a deep quite time I had while I was wondering if I go ahead to cash out or I maintain my hodl and from all indication I just have to maintain my hodl till I get my reward no matter the manner it would appear.
That is investing in Crypto is all about , the way we handle the value to wait or we will leave the certain coin and transfer to another.

Don't get hungry too, it's related to your health haha  Grin , the important thing is to be consistent to hold. So far, the winner is always the holder. and I think in the future it will be the same. I started to think that bitcoin is a savings and investment in the future. stay active in the market to take profits if you make a profit or just hold if you lose position. if there are many bad and real issues and the information is valid, maybe you can cut loss and rebuy at a lower price.

Finding another source of income aside from bitcoin would be great. Remember, you should only invest what you can afford to lose in cryptocurrency and other investment vehicles. So that when things don't go in our favor, we won't lose our minds together will all the funds that we risked. Bitcoin is volatile, there are certainly times that its price will pump or dump. Sure, the dip is a great opportunity to buy bitcoin. However, if you're going to be obsessed with buying without limiting yourself, to the point that you'll loan a money just to buy it, it defeats the purpose. You're just making things harder and complicated.

In addition, we must enjoy the fruit of our patience once in a while too. It's not really that bad to withdraw some of your funds if you badly need them due to urgent situations. You may not be able to buy them with the exact rate you bought at first, but you still have the time to buy whenever dips happen or when the bearish market enters. After all, bitcoin withstood the tests of time. Even if you will buy it at a higher position than you originally purchased it, you can still make profit.

I never sell any amount of Bitcoin when I am doing good but I have always sold a fraction of it anytime I needed because I was in difficult economic situations, lately during the pandemic I have been happy that I had Bitcoin which with I survived a few months in 2020 because I stopped receiving monthly salaries for those months, everything was closed, locked.I survived thanks to crypto and I keep accumulating Bitcoin by doing mining activities but if it is a matter of life and death like it was during those months in 2020 I immediately sell and then I start building strategies how to accumulate that money again. So the moral of the story is,never sell when you are doing good and always sell when you have no other alternatives.

Well, no, I don't make icons out of bitcoin. I can be a holder, but everything should be limited. The wait for the benefit tomorrow can be very long. It may not come tomorrow, at some point. Especially in times of pandemics and crises. I will never save on my health. If I need an amount that I can spend from my bitcoin investments, I will not hesitate to exchange it for fiat.
Again, I am not making bitcoin a religion or an idol.

If you say you'd rather stay hungry than sell your bitcoins, I don't think that makes sense, we know money is important, everything needs money, and everyone wants wealth, so that everyone can respect it, but I think health is more important , health above all, if we are healthy we can find money, why do we save money if our stomach is hungry..
Perhaps what op's trying to say here is that he don't want to sell his bitcoin no matter what happen wherein he just use some words to enlighten other hodlers to stay calm despite of the situation.. Of course its impossible that he don't have any source of income except investing with bitcoin. In fact how and where did he get money to invest?..unless if he quite his job because of bitcoin. Lol

loosing them now isn't a healthy idea at all.
and risking your health isn't a good idea too. but it's your choice. Hodling has risks and you are willing to take the risk, go for it. as for me, I would probably have sold some of my coins if I urgently needed the money.
opportunities come and go and it is up to you to recognize them as an opportunity or not. anyway, Goodluck!

Don’t let what others say influence you. You have your own judgment. It’s normal to go up and down in the cryptocurrency market. But don’t take all your own money when investing in cryptocurrencies. Keep some money for yourself to live on, if you’re going to hold it for the long term, don’t sell your bitcoins, no matter what, because if you sell your bitcoins when they’re down and the price goes up, you’re going to lose a lot
Exactly, that is why everyone agrees that you shouldn't invest what you can't afford to lose meaning that you have to leave some for yourself or you will end up with no money for yourself. Also, to every newbies out there, what OP is doing is stupid because it's a sign of greed, always prioritize health before wealth, what's the use of your profit if you are on a hospital bed or in a funeral home?

Then he will die hungry if ever the price won't rally back high again. I don't think if he could survive for several months with no food to eat just because of being a silly decision about Holding. Well, that his life but I wonder how a normal person could think that way instead of saving his life than to be a fool.

It is better for him to find a job. It is actually getting crazy to think about I'd rather stay hungry than doing nothing. It is not a heroic action, we are just making ourselves being slaves from money.

Well, i also have a feeling like you, my friend also gave me advice to sell my coin but I still wondering to sell it or no.
it turns out I am still holding my coins until now, I really believe the price will increase no matter what. hopefully it will happen soon.

I will not be able to sell my bitcoin at a cheap price even though I do not have a penny in my hand, maybe I will be more willing to wait for a higher price then I will sell it, because if we still do this it is useless.we are in starting this business the same.as us fools.because the price in the crypto world will always change in a time that we cannot.determine

LOL.. I completely agree. OP seems to be out of his mind. Imagine the scenario whether he gets some disease and then getting hospitalized. Would he still cling on to his coins? Long term hold doesn't mean that you need to hold on to 100% of your coins. More intelligent investors go for profit booking at regular intervals. Else there may be a scenario in the future where the coin has gone up by a lot, but the investor is no longer alive to benefit from the appreciation. And remember one more thing - there is no 100% guarantee that Bitcoin will survive for the next 10-20 years. There is always a chance that the rapid development of quantum computing will make the private keys vulnerable.

You didn't tell the synopsis of your current life, how you can beat hunger to fill your stomach without spending money because you have changed the principle not to sell coins no matter what the consequences, unless you have money saved to save shopping in an epidemic condition.
it's true as you said, we are looking for money to fill our stomachs, why is there a lot of money if our stomachs are hungry and don't eat, if we have money in the bank, we can save our bitcoins, but if there is no savings at all, we are forced we must take the choice to sell bitcoin, for our needs, because health is more valuable than everything..

;DWhether to sell Bitcoin or not has nothing to do with being hungry. Satoshi Nakamoto can give up the fame and fortune of the world's richest man. What else can we not let go of? The Bitcoin in Satoshi Nakamoto's wallet has not moved. If he has selfish desires, will Bitcoin have the development it is today?

There are too many anti-human things to do in the Bitcoin world. This is a psychological war. There is ugliness and deception in it. What I want to say is hold on and we will win.

To put it another way, apart from Bitcoin, if you invest in other projects, they are all centralized trading projects. The data analysis of big data has already made users as if they were stripped of their clothes.

Quote

We see too many serve the people, for example by currying favours for his ugly politicians, has seen too much intrigue and self-delusion businessman. We're like spoony woman. In the face of a man who boasts deep feeling cheat philandering feelings, we have been raped several times, still reluctant to get out of bed. Every time the other party to pay, we thought it was for us to pay, but they pulled out a condom.
