You don't even put your email when register for MEW so all you have to do is take a minute to think before clicking on any email claiming to be from MEW.

Never click on any strange link that is sent to your email, because there will be viruses automatically downloaded to the computer that appropriates your data. Take the highest precautions to avoid unfortunate risks. I also received a lot of strange emails but I deleted them all and did not need to read them

If you get an email with the name MyetherWallet is certainly a strange thing because we have never made a wallet in MEW by using our email, chances are you follow various types of airdrop and airdrop is a scam and I am sure. email is just phishing to get our PV MEW, so be careful if you get it because I also have the same thing and I try to open the link and look like MEW wallet the difference is in the address of the site.

Ignore the email. Myetherwallet never asked for our email and probably that is some hacker or scammer. Be cautious and alert because  for sure that is a propaganda of some people with an intention of having an access to your mew and get your token.

I received an email from MyEtherWallet to claim some tokens of an airdrop I joined. Hovering my mouse over the link,  I discovered it's a link to another cgi scripted site.

Interestingly you don't create MEW wallets using email addresses.

Guys be careful and be vigilant.

My EtherWallet never send emails in fact there is no record of our email is with the wallet profile. Be cautious and aware, it is a spam. You should delete it immediately upon receipt without opening the link. As now, you have opened it, I would suggest to reset the password of your wallet.

It just like I received etherdelta warning in my email that someone login my etherdelta account, I smell scam in this email, etherdelta is not requiring email when you open your myetherwallet account. Scammer knows our email by joining shitty airdrop so be careful what you join in airdrop guys.

Any emails asking you to update account using passwords to get into is a phishing attempt to hack your asked account in the email. If you do, goodbye to your MEW as you said you just received email from MEW. Don't do it or you will be emptied with your fund.

Please be vigilant! Also, thank you for posting this for it is another way to help us be aware of different dangers of opening sketchy emails and links.  This will surely help a lot of beginners in crypto and also some experienced ones!

Many of the new crypto users are often deceived in their very starts because of the inexperience in the crypto field. There are many scammers out there which are trying to get their easy money on behalf of other traders. Every one of us has probably experienced some kind of scam at the time of their market trades.

There should be more threads about this kind of possible scams for the new traders because it is very helpful and it can prevent the possible theft that could happen with the fishy links clicks.

Very often I receive such letters. Even on those electronic addresses that did not shine for crypto currency. We just spam.
