Even if you sell your motorbike and invest in another field, as long as it is profitable, I will support your decision, but it's great that you decide to invest in bitcoin. Because bitcoin has the potential to provide better returns than other forms of investment. Although it offers high returns, it is risky, so you must listen to everyone's advice. Knowledge is an extremely important thing as well as investment capital, without knowledge you will lose more than profit. Please add knowledge when starting to invest.

Buying at a low price now, and then selling it after waiting for a high price, must be a huge income. If the motorcycle continues to be put down, the price will only fall, and there is no room for it to rise.

This is a good plan to turn useless items into considerable profits, BTC will not let you down, hold on patiently and wait for the arrival of the bull market.

At $17k as of right now, the price of bitcoin is increasing gradually but steadily. I have faith that your decision to invest in bitcoin with the proceeds from the sale of your motorcycle will be profitable in the long term. Keeping Holding. You should spend some time learning more about bitcoin, the cryptocurrency market, crypto exchanges, and non-custodial wallets because you are a newbie.

This is a correct decision. Since there is no use value and no value-added, it is better to invest in Bitcoin. The bear market is a good opportunity to buy BTC. You are right.

It will be easier to sell one of the two bikes and keep one, I don't advise selling the two if you don't have a means of transportation, unless you have other good options, a better life is a wealthy life.
I suggest you re-read what he wrote, he has 2 motorbikes, and he wants to sell a motorbike that he does not use in order to invest in bitcoins. For me, I would fully support him, and if he is able to hold on to bitcoin until the next bull season comes, then he can buy back some of those bike and not just one.

I know that motorbikes and cars value depreciate as time goes by but we have a reason of buying them in the first place, I have a car and I won't dare sell for Bitcoin because I got the car to transport my kids down to school every morning and also for other reasons, it's been very helpful so far.

The choice is yours.

No one is offering advice on the sale of assets that are being used for investment purposes, what we are talking about here is the sale of assets that are unused for investment.
Yeah I read it right, such circumstances is not new to me where people get too greedy and sold everything, even things that are very useful to them and they regret, I am just warning him or her not to get too greedy and sell off the bikes instead of keeping one like he planned to.

I talked to someone about Bitcoin in 2018, he is the first I was able to teach about crypto and his first mistake was selling the two cars he owned, he said he will sell one and yes he did, later he sold the other without telling me, yes he got BTC but he held and got tired of holding, in 2020 he sold half of his BTC to buy back a car and late 2020 was when the market recovered.

The decision you have made is very reasonable to me. Since you have two motorbikes in your house, it is better to sell one motorbike. Since you don't need two motorbikes. If you can buy and hold Bitcoin right now by selling then you can definitely profit. Nowadays everything is getting updated in the updated world. New models of cars are coming in the market. So if your motorbike is lying at home then it will definitely become useless at some point and cannot be sold. So by selling you buy bitcoins directly and keep long term investment. You can see the profits very soon.

moreover, the OP sees an opportunity in the current bear market. sell 1 motorbike that is not so used, that's pretty good. moreover, the vehicle has a tax that must be paid for each year.
buying him bitcoins now will help him earn them cheaply. although selling motorbikes won't generate enough money to buy more Bitcoins. gradually, I guess OP should also buy a few more Bitcoins with the leftover money.

We don't know what kind of motorcycle he has; if it's a big bike, half or one bitcoin can be easily purchased; if it's a lower CC, only a small can be purchased; but it's a good start for him using the money he could get from selling his motorcycle, and if he has extra money, he can add that up as well. But keep in mind the risk of owning bitcoin because the price drops at times, so he should control his emotions and also have security on it as hackers are becoming more intelligent in hacking wallets right now.

As long as you have two motorbikes and only move around with one, it is absolutely sensible to sell of the other because parking it for a longer time without using it simply means that, anytime you are going to use it, you might have to change alot of its engine components as they will be damaged, and on the other hand, if you decide to sell it, the price will not be too good since the buyer will still have to spend money to work on the bike.

So personally, if you have decided to sell the bike, its a great decision mate, and if you also decide to invest the proceeds on Bitcoin, that's another great decision as well, there is a high chance that bitcoin and the entire crypto market(as usual) might experience another bull season come 2024, so i believe its not too early for us to start taking our positions now.
Goodluck mate.

Having another motorbike and selling one of it to buy bitcoin is a good choice. Bitcoin is risky investment, but it is worth it than keeping a motorbike instead. Being in the bearish market is an added advantage, because we'll experience growth in a shorter time and the risk is low as we aren't buying at the top and looking for the profit.

Yeah! it's better to choose bitcoins than the motorbike itself because bitcoins can grow in the upcoming years and the bike will probably go down its price once there are more cheap bikes to be released and it's brand new in the future. With the ongoing inflation, we need to be careful when spending our money and also to be careful in investing because what we need right now to secure our future plans if the economy will fall hard in the future. There is no doubt that when you have that extra bike and you want to sell the other, that's the best thing you can do because you are not using it anyway.

This time is not really the best time someone can sell it property because of investing with Bitcoin, because right now Bitcoin have not being doing good for the investment, but it's nice a idea for someone to sell it motorcycle to by Bitcoin, but it's okay to do so when you that the motorcycle is not something you know that is giving you or contributing for your daily income, so therefore that daily income is something you will consider first not to sell your motorcycle because is not increasing.
Bitcoin is not doing good at this time and it doesn't refer that it will not shine in future. We know what is Bitcoin actually is and we have to wait by investing on it. It's really tough to get profit within short possible of time. Selling property and investment on Bitcoin is okay, I think. It's time to buy as price is not so high and I hope price will start to rise again.

Bitcoin price falling doesn't mean bitcoin is underperforming, price drop is part of the market, this is normal, and we can't expect bitcoin to just rise without falling. Many long-term investors who expect a bear market will buy cheap bitcoin and wait for the market to recover to sell for a profit. I am puzzled as to why he would suggest that OP should not invest at this time, when this is the best time to buy bitcoins. I don't know if bitcoin will recover soon, but I'm pretty sure bitcoin will recover in the future.
Of course, Bitcoin is a trusted coin. And here everyone buys bitcoins at low prices and waits to sell them at high prices. I am a bitcoin lover myself. But many people are afraid to invest in Bitcoin now because of the situation we have seen in Bitcoin over the last year. At the time I believed that Bitcoin might be fixed this year (2023) but no hope yet. Does that mean Bitcoin will drop below 10k again?
And if not, how long will it take for bitcoin to be fixed?
No one can answer your question, no one has a crystal ball to know about the future. For me, I believe history will repeat itself, meaning bitcoin will only bounce back and hit new ATHs after the halving. We are about 500 days away from the halving, so don't expect bitcoin to recover or increase in price this year, it's too early to expect bitcoin to appreciate.

Bitcoin investment is like a patience game, whoever is patient and holds the longest wins, bitcoin is not a short term investment or can generate quick returns.

I think if you still have another motobike then it won't be a big problem and it's a good idea. Moreover, we can still move. Investing in Bitcoin is risky, but if you know the time is right it will be worth it. Hopefully this is your right decision to invest in Bitcoin right now because this is still in the bearish time

Probably you will get some talks from people around you because they may think that too risky, but as long as you have prepared yourself and your emotions, by investing in Bitcoin for a longer time period, I believe that you will get the target as you like or expected. But, it will be worse if you are being panic and selling Bitcoin when the price keeps decreasing during this bearish era. However on the other hand, you're right because you have really understand the risks and also understand that bearish era is still ongoing and you cannot panic with this situation, better to make it for long term investment.

No one could say if you have done the wrong or right thing because that action could be called risk taking. Its sensible that you do sell your old motorcycle since we do know that price do really depreciates
and also if you do see that it isnt something that could be used often then it is really just right to dispose it off unles if it does have that sentimental value then there might be some exemptions but if not
then i could say that the decision had been made was just right off. Sell on things which you do see that there's no point on keeping them or simply being liability.
Although Bitcoin investment arent assured but at least we could really see up that potential.

One moment...! Any type of sale  of your goods to buy or invest on bitcoin it's no one else's responsibility, that is, any investment of any kind must suppose control of your finances and knowing what you do with your money.

One cannot recommend or mention that you sell something so that you buy bitcoin, one can talk about the pros and cons of owning bitcoin and the related process.

It is the main reason with bitcoin in adoption, it is so easy to acquire that anyone even without experience plunges into buying a volatile asset like bitcoin and hopes to succeed based on hope or crossing your fingers.

Anyway, knowing where you get the money from that only you know.

BTC is not waiting to be 'fixed', there is nothing broken in the BTC network, it is operating perfectly and if most of the stories we read on the forum are true, then many people are even adding it as a payment option in their businesses. BTC is a currency and it is being used that way without any problems, if the 'fixing' you are talking about is the low price compared to the all time high, then you are not correct because it is not a real problem.

BTC is in a winter period, and the price is this way in this kind of period. After an all time high, BTC price faces this kind of correction that leads us to a winter period, it doesn't mean that the network is broken and needs fixing, the price would only be down for sometime and if you have invested in BTC during this period, you must be patient for the bull period to come, or you will sell at a loss.

Come on,
Your in a cryptocurrency and most of all, bitcoin forum. Do you really expect anything less other than support to go ahead with your decision?

Anyway, old doesn't always mean depreciation. At times, it could mean one of a kind from a time and becomes a rare product for exhibition and auction which could mean, valuation.

It's really up you to decide depending on what you know yourself to have but, I'll buy bitcoin anyways. Its just what feels right to do and as such, I'll say you should do that. You already have your plans mapped out, execute it.

This right here is a great idea.
It is better than taking out a loan to buy bitcoin. Furthermore, it will give you a good head start for you to then start to DCAing.
Infact, I think I would look around my house to find stuff that I no longer need and probably do a garage sale. I'll then take the proceeds and invest it in bitcoin. Cold storage wallet will take care of the price volatility.

I think everything is left to you to decide, we all know investing in bitcoin is really a nice idea. Actually I don't really encourage people to sell their properties just because they want to invest in bitcoin, but I think your case is different, since you said you don't really make use of the bike, then you can sell it if you know it won't really affect you. If you are using the bike then I won't encourage you to sell it, you don't have to sell your properties to invest, and don't forget always invest any amount you can afford to lose.
