I'm ready to be corrected because I have no experience in bitcoin and crypto.

If you don't have experience of bitcoin then better get the prerequisite experience before jumping into this sector. No one will work on your place to find which decision best suits you.

I have 2 motorbikes at home, but what I always use is only 1 motorbike, and 1 motorbike is rarely used, and indeed the motorbike is also old, and if it is sold it won't be too expensive, and I decided to sell the motorbike, because in my opinion the price of the motorbike will definitely fall over time,
(affected by inflation). and the money from the sale of the motorbike I will use to buy bitcoin. because in my opinion the price of bitcoin in the future will definitely rise. and also currently the market is bear, so this is a good opportunity to buy bitcoins. and I want to ask everyone, the decision I made, namely selling the motorbike and the money to buy bitcoin, is it wrong or not?

This is no doubt good time to accumulate bitcoins but the point is how you are going to invest. One common piece of advice which I give to everyone is never invest your whole money at one single price. Like if you have 1000$ and bitcoin price is 16k then dont buy bitcoin with 1000$ on single day, rather DCA. Check this link to see how much profit DCA gives https://dcabtc.com/

I don't think bad ideas when selling motorbikes and use it for investing in Bitcoin, maybe OP earn few profit if sure have sold his motorbike when this topic made and Bitcoin right now has increase little higher price. Last three days Bitcoin still drop around $16,000 and current Bitcoin price have reached above $17,000 and earn almost few percent profit.

I don't know how decision from OP become long term holding with bitcoin, after investing forget it and back three or four years later and looking how increasing up. Possibility become short term trading, up few percent OP earn profit and sell it before buy back later when Bitcoin going dump, I think between decision with short or long term trading are worth adopt by OP after he has fund by selling motorbike.

If you have taken such a decision at present then I would say you have taken the right decision. Because in the current state of the Bitcoin market, if Bitcoin can be bought and held, then I think it is possible to achieve a lot of good profits in the future. Since you have decided to sell your bike and share bitcoins, I think you have made a good decision. But before investing in crypto currency, you must think carefully.  Because there is a lot of risk involved. No one can confirm which direction the market will go. Since you cannot succeed in life without taking risks, you must take risks.

There is nothing wrong with selling unused assets for investment, which OP should be more concerned with than risk in investment, as there is no guarantee that our money will double without loss on investment, and should be even more careful because bitcoin is a volatile asset, and its future is uncertain. Once we have invested in bitcoin, we should determine that the money is lost, only then can we really hold comfortably and avoid short-term fluctuations of bitcoin.

I had a quad/ATV and basically did the same thing.

I was looking it this way - it was losing its value with each passing day (more so if you look it at as a long-term thing), so it made more sense to reinvest its value into something that would long-term gain it rather than lose it.

I think that's the right decision. Selling something unnecessary to buy BTC is always a good idea. It's hard for me to understand when some people sell their house or the only car they have to buy Bitcoin. They are either brave, mad, or dumb. Or everything all at once.
I hope you'll keep us posted after you sell your bike.

from the answers to the questions that I asked everyone, some agreed with my thoughts and some did not, but all the answers were good and made sense, because my goal was to ask what I mentioned so that I would know where I made a mistake and I really I'm happy to be corrected because of course it will be a good motivation, especially for myself, and generally for all of us. I thank you friends. Everything,,
there will never be a mistake in this sense mate because you are trying to do a better treatment to the bikes and your money but what i truly see here is that the post is merit farming that because there are lots of post recently about people here trying to post their bitcoin journey from accepting in business and even gifting their bitcoin to their love ones.
but remember that it is your money and it is your Bike , there is no one that can tell you what is good but you.

If you do not have sufficient experience in investing and trading bitcoins and cryptocurrencies, then your decision to sell your motorcycle will undoubtedly be a wrong decision because the field of cryptocurrencies needs experience in trading and experience in determining the right time to buy and sell through charting, technical analysis and risk management techniques. I advise you to invest in what You can lose more money than you need because there is a possibility that you will lose it because the crypto market is currently volatile and there are no indications that it will recover soon, so do not sell your motorbike, property, cars, house, etc. to buy cryptocurrencies. This field is full of risks, you need to educate yourself and increase your experience, and trade with small amounts at the beginning until you learn.

You are absolutely right that crypto currency market is very volatile, associates with high degree of risk which usually upsets newcomers in this industry. It is a good idea to learn fundamentals, historical trends of market & technical analysis before deciding to take entry.
If somebody decides to sell any asset to buy Bitcoin including motorbikes which are not it use, could be a good decision if he evaluates his risk tolerance and protects his investment with risk management tools to avoiding total loss of his capital.
Furthermore, trade in Spot market and avoid margin or future trading.

The decision you made yourself by selling an old motorbike as initial capital to buy Bitcoin at the beginning of this year is actually very good and not wrong. But the problem is that you still don't have experience in Bitcoin and crypto, so that makes you have to spend more time to find out more about Bitcoin and crypto so you can understand the risks of the decisions you make yourself.

From the story you wrote, I think you are so sincere that you sacrificed an old motorcycle to make capital and bring it into Bitcoin. So you will be moved by yourself to continue to know about Bitcoin and crypto before you experience losses through the decisions you make yourself, because you can receive more suggestions from other people, but cannot blame others if the results are not what you expected in the future front.

Selling the motorbike for buying Bitcoin is a good idea. You rarely used the motorbike, so it is better to sell it and invest the money in a more useful thing like Bitcoin. As long as you have enough knowledge about Bitcoin investment, it is no problem that you don't have enough experience. I guess you have learned enough about Bitcoin, that's why you know it is the right time to invest in Bitcoin. Sure, it is a bearish season, it is the best time to buy Bitcoin. People predict the price will increase significantly in 2024-2025 (bullrun season), so just keep your Bitcoin until that time.

I think selling a motorbike, then the money from selling it to buy bitcoin seems so pushy. Actually it's good enough to buy bitcoin but if you are not strong with the price which is so fluctuating of course there will be times when your mentality will fall and start to get restless, but if you have a target to put bitcoin in the long term it is the best choice.

Value of such assets depreciate over the time so best to sell it off if you really don't need it since even if you don't use it still you need to pay for its maintenance so that you can maintain its quality or to make sure that this is in good condition.

But since you don't have any experience on crypto, maybe you should inves on knowledge first rather than thinking selling it to buy bitcoins. Since you will regret this decision if you lose all of your money on crypto and you also lose your motorbike.

This is a correct decision. Since there is no use value and no value-added, it is better to invest in Bitcoin. The bear market is a good opportunity to buy BTC. You are right.

It's a place, but as long as it doesn't interfere with your livelihood in the future, because it means you can buy bitcoin whenever you want, if you have the patience to raise money to buy Bitcoin, but if it doesn't interfere with your household finances then go ahead.

If you rarely use one of your motorbikes, instead of letting its parts rot, it's better to sell it and invest the proceeds in buying bitcoin.

For me, this is a wise decision, because you are right that as time passes, the value of the motor decreases. It seems like you're just becoming practical anyway. Then at least it's time to buy bitcoin because its value so far was actualy in low price in the market.

Op, i think you have did the right thing because your statement tells that you are not using the motorbike you sold which is very good move you took. I would always encourage everyone in this particular season of the bitcoin market to purchase as much bitcoin as they can get there hands on. If you have kept the motorbike that you are not using, it would have resulted to the loss of value in the motorbike and the money that you would get from that motorbike over time will decrease excessive, so i think selling it and using the money for a  btc investment is a good choice you have made.

One thing i would advise you to do in this your bitcoin journey, is that you should learn and encourage yourself to hodl your this coins of yours so that when the market is good you will have a big profit.

You don't need two motorbikes anyways, so just sell the other one and use the proceeds to earn more money. Not a guarantee but I am very optimistic that bitcoin will return to its previous ATH. If someone will offer a fair price for my house, I will sell it and use some of the proceeds to buy bitcoin.

OP mentioned its inexperienced in bitcoin investment. So be careful because there are a lot of scammers lurking online. Avoid entertaining direct messages as some of them might have bad intentions. There is no need to DM on your case anyways since we can post here as much as we want.

if you are still a beginner and don't understand how to transact bitcoin, it seems you need a third person who understands this and processes buying and selling your motorbike, you should look for people around you to buy and sell your motorbike

You have made the right decision and also good choice to sell off your old motorbike for the purchase of digital assets like bitcoin, I bet you if you can hold for a long term, your profit can still get you a new motorbike if you care for.

For you to invest, there must be a risk in it and if you understand the nature of your investment, then you will see that the risk is worth taking to have a bitcoin hodling. I saw a friend that sold his dog to purchase bitcoin when he couldn't take care of the dog anymore. He is happy now that his dog might die,or if it gets sick he keeps on spending money for the up keep of the dog but now that he has bitcoin in his wallet he doesn't need to spend a dime to maintain his bitcoin but just to be security cautious of his investment.

Bitcoin is quite cheap very suitable to invest from now on, I recommend you to sell a bike and invest in bitcoin. But you also need knowledge to invest effectively, so learn when investing, don't just invest without knowledge. Sell your bike now, don't hesitate because if you wait for bitcoin to increase in price, you will have to buy bitcoin at a higher price.

This forum will accept any trade if it is "anything to crypto investment". OP, why havent you sold your other bike, but left old motorcycle for yourself? If it is a transport unit, then there is no different which one to use? Why not sell the one that is more expensive? Selling useless stuff is good, but motorcycles imho will grow in price, as more motorcycles are crashed then built right now. With time, spare parts will only become expensive.
