Well i share your frustration mate...these days it is not really safe to trade on exchanges anymore. Day in and day out we here of several exchanges being hacked and people losing huge sums of money. I have heard about Ethershift Project and actually spared sometime to look at it. I think it's very cool and with numerous cryptocurrencies being deployed on the Etheruem network i believe transactions with Ethershift is very safe and quicker than with Exchanges.

I already forgot when some serious exchanges was hacked. It seems to me that these are simply concerns from the past, when such cases were not uncommon. If you now trade on top exchanges with 2FA enabled, then nothing will happen to your money, unless you lose your deposit in a failed trading  Grin
I am not sure how safe is using 2FA especially for storing your crypto in exchanges. There are past incidents regarding account hacks with bypassing 2FA and hijacking phone is not difficult for professional hackers in my opinion.

Im never good at trading ,always lose money but how about those who lose money due to exchange been hacked? Well thanks to new exchanges that only support p2p ,no profiles ,no emails ,no passwords, they are the safest out there ,this is why I'm so hooked with changelly since 2016 ,so use this kind of exchanges and you are safe from hacks and phishing who is with me? Other exchanges that are like changelly are ethershift and tokenmom ,there might be others too
I think you maybe must look other skills, you can be writer or maybe something that will need your skills and you can earn money with it. Not all people can be trader, include me maybe because i always panic and loss in trading activity, but i look other things that i can do like be bounty hunter.

To protect against hacking it is enough to observe the basics of computer security. And also do not store on one of the wallets all your coins and tokens. Never enter a large number of coins on the stock exchange, and as soon as you stop trading, withdraw money to your wallets.

that is why I have not kept my assets in exchange for a very long time but we also have to believe that a good exchange will always be monitored by a team that is working full in order to overcome data leakage, I believe the technicians on one exchange are not stupid

If the hackers will be the task to crack some particular exchange or get private keys of a certain person, they will perform it, so do not overestimate and underestimate anything in this world.
That's their job also and they'll working it hard but the illegal ways. We condemn that activities cause it ruins crypto image and many were affected.
To have a high percentage of keeping safe from exchanges, better to look for old ones as they have a good reputations and already trusted for mang years unlike for new created cause we don't even know if it will give us service satisfaction.

If you are not a regular trader and want to do trades with anonymity then P2P exchanges are best but you may nit fimd them for many altcoins for that you can use decentralized exchanges or even the centralised exchanges like binance which can be trusted due to its huge trading volume.

I never experienced anything bad on an exchange, because indeed I didn't save a lot of funds on an exchange, even though there were still some exchanges I used as storage. Btw, I have also left a few exchanges because I only use them as needed. I agree with the way you have done it will indeed be safe from hacking if your needs are indeed only to convert.

I think actively need to use only the popular stock exchange type finance, because the chance that such exchanges will crack is very small as the security of these exchanges spend good money!

Technically, Changelly isn't an exchange.
These types of sites are brokers.
They actually execute the trade for you on and exchange.
They use algorhythms to monitor buy/sell prices on several exchanges and post them on their website.
When you go in to buy or trade something, they send it to the exchange so that the trade can be done.
Because of this Changelly (and other sites similar to it) have higher sommission fees.

Of course, for the trader's experience, it basically operates like an exchange.
But there are some key things missing, like spreads, buy/sell order lists, options for stop limit, etc.
So for the serious trader they don't work well.
But if you are just buying coins, they are really easy and safe to use.
And if you are doing it casually, the extra fees won't have a big impact on things.

An interesting point of view.  I have a little trading experience, but I try to choose exchanges that have proven themselves well.

When you use any exchanges, you are not 100% safe. You cannot guarantee that it won't get hacked. Imagine, you are exchanging 20 BTC on Changelly and after you made the payment, the exchange server got hacked, what will happen? Online wallets including exchanges were never been safe nor will be. I'm agreeing with you, that exchange without registration is far better than the email collectors Cheesy

Well i want to believe that these exchanges you mentioned are good but i really don't know about them, generally i think trading now is really not the best for starters because of the bearish market. Trading is best during the bull run. When the bull run comes, will try out these exchanges you mentioned.

Yes I am with you on this exchanges that uses p2p are more safer and secured to use cause you avoid being hack or pinch, OK coin is also one of those exchanges that will prescribe for your use. The exchange play a very important role in our trading life and at that we should look out for the good and secured one.
I do not think that decentralized exchanges are truly safe. they are not very easy to use and users can make many mistakes

It is much more safer to use the decentralised exchanges, because usually you keep all your funds by yourself and there is no third party that has access over your funds. P2P networks rule the crypto industry.
but if you do something wrong on a decentralized exchange, then only you are responsible for everything.

Before I started using decentralized exchanges, I do think they are big deals but since I have started using them, I feel much more comfortable than when I was using only centralized exchanges. I often use decentralized exchanges now than I do for centralized ones because of their ease of accessibility and no KYC, also withdrawal fee is usually very little.
