Well at this current time I think it is confusing if ethereum will reach $2000 before at end of year. I think it is difficult to know if ethereum will survive and reach on to the top since rights now eth is below $300 and it stable price without moving up. But I believe it is not just a big matter if we are still trusting all cryptocurrency especially ethereum will give us a good and unexpected prices.

Unfortunately I can't agree that Ethereum price will get 2K$ this year. In the long-term it will continue to drop. Personally I also hold some Ethereum and I think that from the point of view of long-term investment Ethereum is really very cheap now. Because there is no doubt that it will rise minimum ten times in the future. But during this year I think we will see it under 70$. And in that case I am going to buy more of it then. No doubt that Ethereum has great potential and it will update its ATH. But right now I would wait for cheaper price or try to find opportunities to open short positions on Ethereum. Also I think we will see update ATH of Ethereum price only in 2020.
Now ends August and ETH price stays below 300$. That goal will not be achieved in 2018. If there is a huge pump then the ETH will come back up but its price I certainly do not exceed 500$. 2000$ is too hard with ETH

i think it is very difficult to achieve. in January this year, the ether reached $1,000. it will be the highest point this year. the overall market trend is declining, as can be seen from the recent months.
For me this down reach that big level that pump more than 1k in this year is nearly impossible, i think that we must become more patient and wait for 2019.
maybe we need to be patient to reach $2000 and I think we need a long time to see this price because right now, ethereum is down too deep and it's less than $500. but I still believe that ethereum can be back to the highest price like what we saw in the last year or maybe it will break higher than the last one. the ethereum still have a big chance to increase higher and it's waiting for a good moment to start to rise again.
