I think depending on the use case that we eventually see, bitcoin could be worth a fortune, if some killer app comes out that uses mbits rather than BTC and people get used to it then yes i could see bitcoin in the thousands. i think no matter what happens the price of $500 will always look low in hindsight......

It is quite possible to happen. The bitcoin is getting popular year after year. More people are using the bitcoin now.
Yes its true many people are now aware of digital currencies and pretty much with bitcoins. They see the convenience of using it as an alternative to fiat currency. Same benefits with it but with low fees or sometimes no fee at all with every transactions online. Plus there are many online stores that accepts btc as their payment.

Don't think of too long, enjoy the ride with bitcoins till its alive and try to earn as much as you can and don't forget to grab the profits whenever it is allowing you.

Yeah its not possible for bitcoin to handle that high price in future as its really struggling since long time even to cross the price of $1k so I don't think we will ever see that price.

Nice work, I hope that it happen as I also want that to happen in my life so that I will be millionaire with my some amount of bitcoins, some people may be not agree with you but they do not know that it will rise to that value in the same way as it started to increase from 0.25$.

maybe we don't have this experience, and only our grand children will have. what we can do for them is, hold some of our bitcoin, tell the stories about bitcoin to them, give them our bitcoin as a gift, teach them how to use it and make it grow more bitcoin. i think this is what i want to do for my next generations.
it might be possible in my opinion, though i think that we might reach it in like 10 years or so eitherIt cannot be denied that every friend of prices in the future will certainly continue to occur. We can only go with the flow and will remain when it is still beneficial to me. If it's not profitable for me, then I will not use it again and moved on to more profitable. But I am sure that bitcoin still has a long journey and has a better future

This thread is from December 2013, two and a half years ago, and for now bitcoin is more then double that price from that time.
50 K for one bit coin is for me impossible, I'm not against this, just for me its unbelievable for btc to worth this much. After this price many will become billionaire's, and even I would be rich.
In this scenario who would be able to buy bitcoins, it will be like some rear object from space.

Lol. Well, it could happen like for about 50 to 100 years from now. It could be possible. But the question is are we going to be still around on that time? Maybe if we were only 5 to 10 years old today. We will not know when it will reach that 50K value as bitcoin price is always changing. Well, who knows, maybe we can never tell what will happen. I wish it would happen so that retiring would be easy for everyone of us.
or it could happen really soon, anything is possible with bitcoins to be honest and i hope that by this time i will not be dead too

i agree with you, its possible that bitcoin can be reach to $50k in 60 year or less, i think it can be possible in 10 year or 20 year if a huge number people adopt the bitcoin in huge amount then bitcoin can be reach to $50k in 10 or 20 years, there is a maximum people are getting awareness about bitcoin and a large number of people are buying and hold it for future.

You can't predict the future. Anything can happen, as far as Bitcoin is considered. It is possible that the exchange rates may climb to $10,000 or even $50,000 per coin in the near future. But there is a far greater possibility of Bitcoin getting replaced by a technologically superior alternative, before such targets are achieved.
Agree, we cant really predict the future but reaching $50k/btc seems too unrealistic and for sure if OP would wait for the price to reach that amount maybe hes already in his coffin i think.

I see it a bit difficult, I can not imagine people risking 50k o more on a exchange only to buy 1 BTC in the future, if it were the only option maybe, but obviously it is not, I rather keep the much lower expectations, with the relevant clarification that it would be unlikely but not impossible.
