mails have been read and prayers have been spoken;
mails are usually checked every day, i would love to read from you, do not hesitate to send me a short or long letter.
God bless you all!
- Thomas
"I can do all this through him who gives me strength."
- Philippians 4:13
As for the discussion about the capitalization of the word God, i want to repeat myself:
Both is correct, god and God. As i made it obvious there is only one it's not offensive at all as i do not doubt his infinite power, love and wisdom and that there are no other gods than him.
"God" with capital "G" is meant as a name while "god" with a small "g" in general describes the entity which surrounds & created everything.
I had a little discussion with someone who told me that "god" would describe any god. I opposed him by explaining that if there is only one god there is no doubt about who is meant.
“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me." (Exodus 20:2-17 NKJV)
“Indeed, We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people, and he said: “O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. Certainly, I fear for you the torment of a Great Day!” [Al-A’raf 7: 59]
These citations can be seen as a confirmation. There is no other than the one and only God.
But to prevent further misunderstandings on this i have edited the previous posts aswell for emphatizing my point of view.
Thanks for reading carefully. I stated clear that this is a free service. No hook, no hidden paragraphs.
Everyone is welcome to write me a letter. The intention of this thread is to encourage people thinking about prayer. It is about getting in direct, intentional and active contact with God. I already wrote that praying yourself is definitely the best thing - but sometimes it is good to know you have someone else praying for you aswell.
