How much is metaverse land worth?
According to the CEO of JustBrandable, metaverse land is going “to be the most expensive real estate” in the world with some plots of land reaching multi-million dollar sales even though the industry is just beginning. While ōLand has not started its marketplace, the question we get a lot is how much is metaverse land worth?

This metaverse is being built by the Bored Ape Yacht Club and has 35,000 unique owners of their digital land. If you don’t know them, these are the guys taking over fashion and media with everyone from Paris Hilton to Neymar Jr. to Eminem. The launch of the Otherside translated to real success with over $300M in day one sales and over $1 billion in secondary market sales since then.

"How much is ōLand worth?”

While more information will be revealed soon, there are three important parts to ōLand that are not like any other metaverse which make this question HARD to answer.

1) You can combine land. Combining land is ōLand’s way of letting owners upgrade a plot of land, but requires the burning (destroying) of other plots of ōLand to perform the upgrade. This mechanism gives utility to even the most remote lands. More importantly, as proven by Otherside, rarity is a crucial feature of valuing metaverses and burning functions provide a means of decreasing the overall supply of ōLand.

2) Pairing the physical with digital. ōLand’s metaverse and its traits are directly linked to Overline’s upcoming wireless network and 5G network (powered by the ōRouter). This is where the location of the ōLand becomes critical, as highly populated areas, such as Manhattan or San Francisco, are strategic locations in the network.

3) Interoperability. The World Economic Forum says the most important aspect of the metaverse is not the technology itself, but the interoperability or ability to move between metaverses. ōLand is built on top of Overline which runs on multiple blockchains, so you can move your digital collectibles freely and even interact with other metaverses directly.

Ich habe auch ein Stück Land bekommen aber ich denke mir, dass das System unproblematisch ausgenutzt werden könnte und eine einzelne Person unendlich viel Land holen könnte, keine Ahnung also ob das echt jemals etwas Wert sein kann?

Irgendwie habe ich das Gefühl etwas zu verpassen, aber ich weiß auch noch nicht so recht, ob es sich bei den ganzen Ländereien nicht nur um einen großen Hype handelt.
